This was a good episode....Nice to see the new General Kilobyte and the tension already between him and Tenaya 7. The last scene was done nicely with Kilobyte asking Venjix if Tenaya knows the truth and Tenaya spying on them. Cant wait to see what happens next.. oh and when the boys fell asleep i love how scott and dillon were holding hands lol

-New general is badarse and hes British
-I think he likes T7. Robot romance anyone?
-Straw monster is awesome
-Whoa..real civilians in my PR? COOL
-Ziggy...almost man, almost.Lol.
-Venjix likes Tenaya, Venjix likes Tenaya..
-Summer has a baby face
-Straw monster needs to be a recurring villain
-How did she shoot the tower?
-New General Awesome strikes again
-"Stay away from our women! I mean.." lol. Ziggy, in my opinion, is the funniest ranger ever.
-Energies low? In the sentai, this is when Red was dead or frozen right?
It was a fun episode. I want to see where the T7 story goes.

-Loved the music in the first fight. It brought back some Ron Wasserman memories.
-Anyone notice Flynn's reaction when Gemma said she can't wait to try out the new upgrades? Seems he's a wee bit annoyed that the tech is getting more focus from Gemma than he is.
-Dr. K went straight for Ziggy to try the antidote. Dawww. When Ziggy said he had the strangest dream, I wasn't expecting him to go that far and say he dreamt they were on a date. I thought he was gonna go the Wizard of Oz route and use the "and you were there, and you were there.." line. But bad luck, Zig-Man.
-Operation City Storm, eh? Pretty lethal, but was it just confined to the one area? If it was confined to the one area, you have to ask why nobody tried this in previous episodes? On the other hand, if it wasn't confined to the one area, that WOULD explain why they never tried Operation City Storm before.
-Not surprisingly, next time the antidote gets used, Ziggy's chosen LAST.
-Uh, I think somebody's messed up here. When Doctor K hands Scott the Road Attack Zord, she says to him: "GEM, I've calibrated you for the Road Attack Zord." How did nobody pick up on this before airing? Jeez, how are we gonna explain this one?
-Aye, so wee Flynnie Boy's a Glaswegian, eh?
-Well, we all know what the secret Venjix is keeping from Tenaya is.
Regardless of the name flub, it was a decent episode, 5/10 for me.

1. Ziggy dreaming about Dr. K? lol
2. Ziggy trying to teach Dr. K to cook and K destroying the hat? lol
3. lol @ Dillon for getting mad about his car being driven into a tornado "don't ever drive my car ever." He didn't do much about it. Is it just me or is Dillon getting softer?
4. Good for Gemma and Summer trying to hold down the fort.
5. Ziggy's line about "our girls" was funny.
6. Scott and Dillon's response to Dillon about how Summer driving his car and not theirs was funny too.
7. Ooh. Tenaya 7 overhearing this new general and Venjix. Duh duh duh will she find out the truth soon?
8. Speaking of which, where has this general been all season?
9. Wait a minute. Gemma and Summer were out of power after that attack. Suddenly the other Rangers sow up and morph and they too somehow have power again as they pilot their zords. When'd they get a power boost? Did I miss something?

I beleive Dr. K said Gemma, calibrated you for the Road attack Zord... ill have to re-watch to make sure...
Love the new general, he should of been around the whole season, i thought he would be used for venjix new body but this is even better!
I enjoyed this episode. Except I feel they used the energy levels too much. Scott's energy levels were too low after he used the Road Attack Zord?

-LoL, Poor Flynn, how many times has Dillon's car attacked Flynn now?
-Glad to see more from Summer in this episode. I like how the only hints of her/Dillon is when she decides to use his car and the flirting at the end. She took up leadership nicely I think. I actually cringed when the hood came off the car thinking "well that's going to be amusing to explain later'. And Scott's later all 'haha sucks for you' sorta laughing.
-Dr. K putting the hat in the blender in determination not to wear it was priceless XD. Gotta hand it to Ziggy that in spite of everything Dr. K does and says to him, he still tries to be nice. I like how she goes "So who do we test this on?" and then looks and gives this smile as if to say "Let's get Ziggy!" . The scene was cute overall and definitely didn't expect him to mention about dreaming of being on a date with her.
-Kilobyte's a pretty cool villain and I liked the conflict happening with Tenaya 7. This was the first episode in a while I've liked seeing her in really. I'm very glad the monster of the day didn't talk in this one although I'm glad they used it instead of Shower Banki from Go Onger. But I did notice the 'princess' reference Tenaya made. I know its a kid show but I thought for a second Tenaya was going to say "That bastard" after she was attacked by Kilobyte.
My only complaint is the camera shaking in the fights. I don't remember them shaking that much in older episodes.

He's been wondering the wasteland for a long time now, why he wasn't there to begin with still needs some explaining.
Exactly my point. Why was he out there in the first place? He mentioned something about losing himself or something. I forget the conversation. Anyway, was he ambushed by rebels or something? They need to explain why he's been gone all season, why he was where he was, what he's been up to and why he is suddenly returning.

well possible Kilobyle will stay until the final of RPM, the best of changes will be the last general to be destroyed but i think, he is good to return to join is Master Venjix, but i think will begin with the power strungles between Tenaya and Kilobyte and now he have Venjix and is 4 generals now

Strangely enough, thats all i ever saw becoming of him, but it turned out that there's always space for another one, maybe Yogoshimacretein will be a separate general too, then Venjix gets his own american final battle.

No, but Tenaya did call Gemma and Summer annoying Princesses. :D
Kireizukii/Kilobyte was great. I am glad to see they didn't just use him as another upgraded suit for Venjix. Episode wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be, but not bad nonetheless. Although some of the plots and themes seemed to be forced a little. "Oh, I had a dream, we were on a date.." "Don't ever drive my car.." "She doesn't know the TRUTH does she?"

Just saw the episode, and it was pretty good.
Kilobyte seemed a bit random to me, though he was pretty cool. Him "criticizing" Tenaya was annoying.
The "straw" monster looked pretty ugly. And it was cool how all of Corinth's men were knocked out. Funny how Dillon and Scott looked like they were holding hands lol
And of course, Dr. K tested the antidote on Ziggy first. "Them going on a date" in Ziggy's dream seemed random.
The storm caused by Vasquez seemed effective! Kilobyte stopping Tenaya from destroying the rangers was quite... "traitor-like".
Really liked Dillon, Scott, and Flynn's reaction to the hood of Dillon's car being totaled. And the "secret" Venjix mentioned with Kilobyte... :o
Overall, the episode was good, but not great. 7.5/10

Well, since the internet was out all night... I was unable to post my feelings on this episode around6AM EST like I usually do...
I liked that they showed the girls being awesome, and Flynn and Gemma were still working on the Road Attack Zord, and oh hey Killabyte is Kureiizuki. Cool!
Summer actually did something useful for once, she inspired Vasques to be awesome and cause a tornado. Unfortunately, Dillon's car had to pay for it.
And we have the silly Straw monster that Dan Ewing said he couldn't take seriously. Good thing his character was mostly asleep the entire episode.
"Stay away from our women!"
XD Oh Ziggy!
I really hope Vasques gets her own medal for helping to protect the city, she deserves it.
And Dillon's reaction to his car was just awesome. I'm glad they showed it. Meanwhile, in Venjix Land, Killabyte continues to be awesome while Tenaya hears something very suspicious. It's because you're someone's sister. Tenaya, we figured that out in episode 3, it's nothing new :/

Well, Straw Banki was a force to reckon with in Go-on, too. Gai Aqua is some powerful stuff.

The red drink was the female poison. Dr. K analyzed it and figured it out. The plan was for the attack bot to use both types of poison to knock out everyone in Corinth.

-Energies low? In the sentai, this is when Red was dead or frozen right?
No. It's just that using Speedor's engine soul in Go-Roader GT was too energy intensive for him to then activate his engine cast.
9. Wait a minute. Gemma and Summer were out of power after that attack. Suddenly the other Rangers sow up and morph and they too somehow have power again as they pilot their zords. When'd they get a power boost? Did I miss something?
Rangers seemingly being out of power and then recharging when reinforcements come or just whenever is a PR tradition. Though I really thought the constant percentage readings were a bit silly. Heck, they didn't need to be out of power to demorph, just having them get knocked out would do it.
And then gets turned into ****** **...
Tease.
I was actually surprised at the Job they gave the straw monster, it was really interesting.
Yeah. For all the dread Dan Ewing had about it, it really wasn't that out of place with the other attack bots this season.
So, we had Ziggy trying to teach Dr. K to cook. Guess he wants her to try some healthier foods. Gem, Gemma and Scott jogging. The individualization of G and G continues. I'm really enjoying the direction that they're taking.
Summer not having any sort of flaw, and Vasquez being completely and totally inept at her job annoyed me. Summer is better at being a mechanic than Flynn, and plays pool better than everyone else, she's calm and collected in battle and ... can't she develop a quirk of some kind? Something that needs improving?
Gemma was wonderful this episode. Love her asking about a plan, great continuity there. The quick shot of Flynn after she went back to working on the Road Attack Zord was nice. Keeping the potential romantic flames stoked.
This episode combined the footage from one sentai episode with the plot of another. It worked more or less, though I had been hoping to see the Road Attack Zord with Gem and Summer, rather than reuse the sentai footage with Red. (And they cut the best parts of the battle! If you're going to use Sentai footage, pick the good stuff!)
I was wrong about Gem and Gemma's suits being added to the display next to those of the main five. There's enough room to add them, but it just hasn't happened. *sigh*
Kilobyte's suit was majorly hinted at being Venjix in the Japanese magazine preview of RPM, but that could have just been a rumor. His misogyny is a bit odd and felt manufactured for the episode. Why hate one breed of human when you can hate them all? The character is good, and his use of the shotgun to sabotage Tenaya was brilliant. It's a bit sad that we needed a new "serious" general when Shifter should have been that all along.
All in all, an enjoyable episode.
I'm surprised at how menacing Straw Banki was in this episode.
I am as well, considering he was yet another Generation 3 Attack Bot.

I would rate the episode like 2.5 out of 5 and that was only for having such a unique character such as Kilobyte. The direction of this episode was lacking and combined with the rushed action at times, made the episode a mess. Is it me or has there been a lack of cohesion lately in the episodes and weaker dialogue?

Reportedly the show was horribly behind schedule at this point. Scripts being rushed and not getting proper revisions would make sense given that.

I liked this episode...while it did feel more like filler than a great majority of the RPM episodes so far, what can I say? It's a fun episode when the males are incapable of fighting or serving the team...and who doesn't love the ladies having more of a universal spotlight? Summer, Gemma, Dr. K, even Vasquez gets in on the action!
Some of the little moments gave the episode the right amount of charm. I loved the "cooking lesson" Ziggy gave Dr. K and the references to the chow line he worked on were pretty funny. The chef hat in the blender was also a moment that got a good laugh outta me. Those two need many more scenes together and while I say that from the perspective of a Ziggy/K shipper, it seems obvious to me that Milo and Olivia have sweet on-screen chemistry.
The monster of the day...how am I supposed to take this seriously? A soda pop monster with straws coming out of its body? Haha, what a design! It seemed more funny than threatening and while I didn't necessarily hate this attack bot, I find it hard to believe that Summer and Gemma had such a difficult time against it.
The new villain we've gotten, Kilobyte...you can cut the tension he creates with a knife and he seems to know he creates the tension...and loves every second of it. Like many other fans, I love the accent he has and his interaction with Tenaya 7 was pretty cool, too. His sniper is sweet as well. I can't wait for the rangers to combat him.
A cool episode, definitely a thumbs up from me.

I enjoyed Vasquez in this episode as well. She was played by the actress who played Zoey, the girl who gives Tyzonn her number in Operation Overdrive (despite Tyzonn being engaged to be married, and who is never seen or heard from again). She came across as timid and scared, unconfident, but that's one of the things I loved about the episode: how the girls empowered themselves to save Corinth. This wasn't one of those cliche-ridden "girls can do everything better" type plots (though there were slight undertones of that).
I like how Tenaya 7 was integrated into the plot of the episode, and it was interesting how Shifter and Crunch pulled her away from Kilobyte. Everyone is choosing sides, and I can't wait to see everything hit the fan when Tenaya discovers the secret Venjix is hiding from her. (We all know what it is, but just for spoilers' sake, or something, we'll just pretend we don't.)
There was a very clear PRiS undertone here: Dark Specter asked Darkonda to keep an eye on Astronema, and here we have Venjix and Kilobyte interacting, keeping an eye on Tenaya and preparing to give her upgrades should it prove necessary.
I agree, though the constant sucking sound really kinda creeped me out.

Yeah the name mix-up turned up in closed captions, though Black Warrior's correction is accurate. This week's episode of RPM is brought to you by Venjix-brand Knockout Soda!!
I thought Dr. K's method for dealing with the chef's hat was the funniest moment. The Dome Dolls gets a 3.5/5 from me.
(We've only just seen General Kilobyte - who was lost presumably during humanity's counterstrike. Already he's being compared to Darkonda and Deviot... He just sabotaged Tenaya to keep her in check...and for treading on his 'legendary' status (why Crunch and Shifter sided with him).)

This episode turned out a lot better than I thought it would... but it still wasn't that great.
Why did they specifically program the wheel attack zord for Scott's engine cell? Yeah, it was to burn the footage, but why in show? They made it abundantly clear that this would ONLY work with Scott's engine cell.
They really didn't go as far as they could have with the men being put to sleep. I figured we would have at least seen some of the other women in Corinth doing something. They made it seem like it was only the four of them still awake.
This episode did have a few good funny moments. The end bit with Dillon's car was pretty good, as was the scene right before that when Ziggy said that it would be a good idea not to wake up the rest of the men, while Gem and Gemma look at him like http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/91/smhrd3.gif. The problem was that these scenes were back to back in the coda, followed by ANOTHER scene with Tenaya and Kilobyte, making the last two minutes of the episode feel extremely rushed.
Also, I hope we get some sort of explanation for Kilobyte.
Anyway, 3/5. Not as bad as I originally thought, but still not that great. Pretty typical John Tellegen episode.

I liked this episode plenty; I went in expecting episodic GIRL POWER! filler, the kind you do when your script pile is so dangerously thin you waste an episode on a BEHIND-THE-SCENES special to buy time. I was pleasantly surprised. The episode description mentioned nothing about a brand-new general appearing, and Kilobyte's counterpart debuted MUCH later in Go-Onger, so that was something I honestly didn't see coming.
And his introduction was pretty cool, walking in out of the desert and all. Even the Lynn-era villain dynamic was light on genuine menace, especially now with Venjix back in his warp core, Tenaya going increasingly out-of-control and sliding towards an inevitable heel-face turn, and Shifter and Crunch still not the most competent/threatening of generals. This guy provides an actual threat to the Rangers, and in any other season his past would probably never be brought up again, but RPM has a knack for explaining things.
Notice that the Rangers didn't see him, even when he sniped Tenaya - I think that he has a history with them, one that will be brought up when he first encounters them in battle (when that will be is anybody's guess, since they won't be obligated to use Sentai footage of him till much later) Think about it - the core three were protecting Corinth City for *three years* before the premiere, a period of time we know nothing about. I think it's entirely possible that Kilobyte, given the esteem the other generals hold him in, was the field commander of the Machine Syndicate siege of the city during that time period, and was eventually defeated... somehow, preferably not by the core three themselves since that'd remove any real sense of menace he has.
Of course, like any pet theory of mine with regards to this show, I'm sure it'll be shot down next episode by Scott greeting Kilobyte with a stock "And who are you supposed to be?" quip. =\
EDIT: Oh, and somethingsomething Summer is bland something something Ziggy/K shiptease, something something Vasquez, and Tenaya 7 is really Azula; she's mastered lightning-bending.

One year. Venjix was released three years ago, but the battle for Corinth was one year ago and presumably Dr. K chose her Ranger Operators after that.

Arrrgh, you're right. I got the "time since Venjix Virus was released" and "time since Battle for Corinth" mixed up. D'oh.

Tenaya appears to know him, but I don't see how that could be the case. Tenaya was created at the end of "Fade to Black." (I could be wrong about her knowing him, please correct me otherwise.) Of course, it's possible that she does know him from wherever she was (hybrid camp, perhaps?) before Venjix unveiled her to Crunch and Shifter. Maybe Kilobyte is Tenaya's father.
I was kidding. :)

Meh.
The Straw Attack Bot was cool, just because of how he acted and the sipping sound effect. I like it when the monsters show personality.
Kilobyte looks like he'll be a good villain, though the whole being hateful of just human females is weak. He's an evil robot who serves a machine who wants to wipeout humanity, he should hate all humans. But still, nice to see a general besides Tenaya that's actually compotent.
I really don't see any real enlifting feminist message in this episode. Vasquez spent most of the episode being ineffective and even tried to wake up Truman. Tenaya's evil plan failed as usual. Summer & Gemma, despite their best efforts, falied at beating the monster by themselves and had to be bailed out by the men. Dr. K was the only woman who actually accomplished anything.
Speaking of Summer, I'm starting to dislike her more and more each episode. She's devoid of any real personality, her relationship with Dillion is predictable and forced, she's just like Tenaya said, the girl of the team. She's just so bland.

I liked this episode. I thought that there could have been more girl power to it. It was nice to see Vasquez again, although I wish she had more confidence.
Kilobyte might actually be a formidable villain.
I liked the Dr. K/Ziggy, Dillon/Summer moments and the the Flynn/Gemma moment.
I can't wait for Tenaya 7 to discover the truth.

What other episodes has Vasquez been in?
I hope Vasquez (and all the girls, for that matter) receive some form of recognition for their efforts in this episode.
Kilobyte might actually be a formidable villain.
I've been wondering if he's going to become sort of a rival for Venjix. He certainly is for Tenaya. If he's a villain with a real thirst for power, I can see him trying to put Venjix offline in order to take over the world himself.
I don't really think that will be the case, though. Venjix has won the war already, and for all we know, Kilobyte might just be what he appears: an ambitious yet loyal general. I'm not sure where I was going with that; hopefully y'all see my point.
I liked the Dr. K/Ziggy, Dillon/Summer moments and the the Flynn/Gemma moment.
I'm all for Flynn/Gemma, but their moment in this episode seemed rather arbitrary to me. I'm not sure why.
I can't wait for Tenaya 7 to discover the truth.

I liked the episode, but i think the relation between Summer and Genma could be done better. They almost don't show the development of that duo.
I also found a bit annoying the episode showed the girls, a little "weak" to my tastes.
But, in general, it was a good episode. The strong females character in PR, is a thing which makes me like PR more and more XD

What was with the camera work really shakey kept giving me a headache. This episode wasn't to bad the way they used straw banki was pretty good. Ziggy was pretty funny in this episode. Poor Dillion with his car. Nice to see the girls get a bit of notice. They could've thought of a better name than killerbyte though but i do like his voice who does it he'll be around for a while.

Maybe it isn't about Tenaya. Afterall, Killerbot (or was it Kilobyte?) said "She doesn't know the truth about YOU, does she?". So, wonder what that could mean..
Can't the rangers fight without their suits after they've been drained from power? Or does the suits take power from it's bearer?

Did anybody notice, that when Ziggy started touching Dr. K's hands. Gemma started smiling and then started laughing when he mentioned that he had dreamt that he and Doctor K had been on a date. Also I think that this episode marked out the final couples for this season.
Summer and Dillon
Dr. K and Ziggy
Gemma and Flynn
I don't know if Tenaya is going to have somebody, but if she did I'd be willing to bet that its Gem.

Since they've been DNA-bonded with the series tech, I'm assuming there would be some physical connection there to the bearer.

These couples have been marked out for awhile, my friend. Well, not Flynn and Gemma so much, but whatever.
I hope they don't attempt to pair Tenaya up with someone. She's going to have a hard enough time of it as it is when she finds out whatever the truth is. They could possibly show fleeting sparks between her and Scott (or her and Gem), but nothing more.
When Ziggy was boasting about how he hadn't fallen asleep yet, I was freaked for a split second that they were going to reveal Ziggy was a woman. "No way, PR ... no way you'd go there," I said.

I agree. I think that if the suits are forced to power down. Then it will have an effect on the user through the DNA bondage.

This episode in a way kind of stunck. I mean yeah it was promoting female power but it seemed they made them helpless until the guys came too.
Overall I like the subtle hints with Ziggy/K (Ha Ha Dream date) and Flynn/gemma (She was helping him on the wheel warrior again).
Kilobyte is an interesting villain, trying to make Tenaya fail so he can look good.
Overall 6/10

I never seem to notice all the litle details everyone does here, but I come here after I've watched the episode and notice it all. By the way I loved Summer's line when they were all fighiting the straw bot, "Let's drop this dude!"

Well, if you don't remember, back in the episode Rain, both Flynn and Summer say "I'm out". Hence, imo, saying they were out of power, yet they still remained morphed.

I have to assume this means the suits had automatically toggled to standby mode (and diminished protection), since all existing precedent shows they would have been SUCKED DRY of their lifeforce within a matter of seconds if they were truly without power. Maintaining morphing cohesion is a costly process in terms of lifeforce v. Morphing Grid energy.
