Could anyone tell me what the various Sentai themes were, from Goranger to Shinkenger?

Try looking at www.supersentai.com (http://www.supersentai.com)

GoRanger - avenging the fallen, as the evil Black Cross had destroyed five EAGLE bases, and a surivor from each forms the team.
JAKQ - playing card motif - darker the Goranger imtil Big One is added - a team of cyborgs fights a mafia syndicate called Crime.
Battle Fever J - international taskforce fighting the secret society Egos
Denjiman - descendants of the alien Denji fight the Omnipotent Demon King.
Sun Vulcan - sequel to Denjiman. A machine empire called Black Magma attacks, three military personnell become the Sun Vulcan team.
Goggle V - when Deathdark attacks, a doctor has a computer pick five heroes.
Note: up to this point, only JAKQ has a specific motif.
Dynaman - you might already know about this one, six episodes were dubbed into English. Five inventors are given the Dynaman suits to fight the menace of the Evilution Empire.
Bioman - Five people are showered with Bioparticles. 500 years later, their descendants must fight the evil Doctorman and his five underlings.
Changeman - When Gozma invades Earth, five heroes get the power of Earthforce, giving them the powers of mythological beasts.
Flashman - five infants kidnapped by aliens are rescued by the Flash race, and return to Earth years later to fight Mess, the organisation who kidnapped them in the first place.
Maskman - a group of martial artists use Aura Power to fight the Tube.
Liveman - Academia gets attacked, with three students captured and two killed. Three survivors become Livemen and two brothers of the dead join later on. They have animal mecha.
Turboranger - sort of a cross between MMPR and Power Rangers Turbo. Five high school students get the powers of cars from fairies to fight the demon tribes.
Fiveman - The Zone attack, seperating five children from their parents. Arthur G6 raised them to become the Fivemen and fight the Zone.
Jetman - bird motif. Five people are given Birdonic Waves. As Jetman, they fight the Vyram.
From this point on, they should be quite familiar, as this is when Power Rangers starts.
Zyuranger - Warriors from five ancient tribes fight with the power of the dinosaurs (and other prehistoric beasts) against the evuil Witch Bandora.
Dairanger - the Gorma Triumvirate wants to take over the world. Master Kaku recruits five youths to become the Dairanger. Mythological creature motif.
Kakuranger - Ninja motif. The team must fight and eventually seal the Youkai behind the Seal Door.
Ohranger - Egyptian theme. A miltary taskforce fights a machine empire.
Carranger - car motif. Five garage workers get carmagic to fight the Bowzock.
Megaranger - video game motif. High school students fight the Neijireija.
Gingaman - Baruban space pirates invade Earth. Five warriors of the SeiJuuKen swords are chosen to become Gingaman. Forest motif.
GoGoV - five siblings, all in rescue-related professions, fight the Saima.
TimeRanger - four time-travellers from the year 3000 recruit a present day civilian to fight the Londars family.
Gaoranger - animal motif. Five Power Animals choose heroes to fight the Orgs. Very similar to its adaptation Power Rangers Wild Force.
Hurricanger - ninja motif again. The Jakanja capture almost an entire ninja school. Sensei Mugensai turns himself into a hamster to escape the attack, and three students who escape become Hurricanger. Yes, that's the exact same plot as Ninja Storm, just with a different villain.
Abaranger - There's a parallel world called DinoEarth, created 65 million years ago when the meteorite hit which supposedly killed the Dinosaurs. They really ended up on DinoEarth. AbareBlack was fighting the Evorian, but they escape through a trans-dimensional portal. So he follows them and recruits three new Abarangers who tame the Bakuryuu.
Dekaranger - police - unlike SPD, it's not set in the future.
Magiranger - a family with magical powers fights Infershia.
Boukenger - adventure, and treasure hunting motif. They fight the Negative Syndicate, which is actually multiple factions.
Gekiranger - Chinese martial arts with inner animal spirits. Equal character focus on good and evil. For once, the villains have the same motif as the heroes.
Go-onger - racing theme, in complete contrast to RPM! Ecology motif. Comedic, almost to the point of parody. Engines from a machine World (one of 11 parallel worlds) recruit three people to become Go-ongers, to fight a machine clan who intend to pollute the planet.
Shinkenger - samurai motif. Strong references on Japanese culture - so much in fact that it was blamed by some for PR's demise. The Gedoushu attack humans, so Shiba takeru must recruit members of his retainer families to fight with him.
