View Full Version : Kamen Rider Hibiki Discussion Thread

I've been watching this, and in the last three or four Episodes, I've noticed that some of the actors and sets are the same: Zankis actor played Jirou in Kamen Rider Kiva, one of the baddies is Bishop from Kiva, and the Base that the baddies are working from is the House that Wataru lived in during Kiva, and the man that plays Kiriya in Hibiki was Yuuto in Den-O. I'm not sure if that is coincidences or not, but it struck me as being a bit funny.
Anyway, we can discuss it here for those that are watching and those that have seen it. :hibiki:
I'm up to Volume 31 and I like it a lot. After I finish Hibiki, that will be my fifth Rider in a row.

Oh, it's quite common for Kamen Rider to reuse certain actors and some even come over from the live action Sailor Moon show like Ibuki.
But as far as the show itself goes...it's a different Kamen Rider. Sure, it's not exactly what we got with Agito, Faiz or what have you but it's still a good show. It just takes some time to get into, is what I think.

Being almost 35 Episodes in, I actually like this. Its a nice change from the likes of Tendou and Bad luck ridden Nogami. I'm almost done and when I finish, Agito caught my attention. I think I'll give him a shot.
What I do is watch the movies to get a feel for the series before hand. Hibkiks Movie, the 7 War Oni, I could never find it, so I wasn't going to watch Hibiki. Decades two Hibiki No Sekai Episodes changed my mind on that.

@ Rider Strike...try Veoh, they should have it and as well as Youtube...but the movie and Hyper Battle Video in the case of Hibiki is a little bit different from the series itself...well, a lot less mild than Faiz's Hyper Battle Video and Agito's...but it was a nice change from other Rider's series, probably because it was never meant to be a rider series.
Hibiki is one of my favorites, mostly because the title character is in a slightly older age group than the other Main riders in the Heisei era so far. Everything is explained. There is a sense of mystery about it. I wont give away the ending, though. It worked great also as a breath of fresh air before Kabuto, and following Blade. It was cool in its own right, I though they could have had more episodes in Decade to it more justice (well, as well as any other series but hey...every director has their own ideas....>.>)

I've been watching them on Veoh. I'm watching about 6 episodes a day. I'm really enjoying it.

I'm watching episode 34, and Todoroki is a clutz, isn't he? He knows his way on a battlefield....but the resturant? Not a chance.

Haha, Todoroki is awesome. He's easily my favorite rider from Hibiki aside from the title character himself and Habataki from the movie. I guess you can't go wrong with a guitar-wielding warrior and one that can be so funny. You'll see that he becomes the character with the most personal growth, I think.
