It was kind of a let down... The ending seemed a bit anticlimatic.... It lacked a lot of closure for a finale. It was kind of funny how Chiaki and especially Ryunosuke had more stuff than Mako and Kotoha combined... Sadly Mako's horrible hair bun came back. I loved the Jii bit with the guitar. The hand off was really cool!

Oh man what a finale!! just awesome the roll call was epic, the mecha fight was epic -- the origamis coming off Samurai Ha-oh and that final slash was just plain awesome. The ending made me sad though, sad that they all just left one by one...

Regardless, i'll still watch the last episode but i guess at this point and this period, it's futile to think up romances for ANY of the recent seasons. They only serve for fanfiction and debate wars. Back in the old days, romance between Rangers was something okay but looks like the kids nowadays are acting all squeamish again just from thinking of that concept.

Yay the whole ending made me cry... leaving like that and the OVA isnt a rumour its Official its on the Official site, with a Photo and saying rentail comes out the 11th June i hope its set after the final because i want to see them reunite, thats the first Sentai i watched where the whole team goes separate and you just See Takeru on his own , well with JII but omg that was soo sad ..

Ryu's kabuki dancing was very nice... It kind of helped to bring the whole thing full circle in a way

There does not have to be romance in every season... but when it is hinted at on both ends its kind of a let down when nothing happens

After watching the final Act I still feel like there are way too many unanswered questions... I was rewatching the season and I have a hypothetical question... in act 23 where we see the drawing of the origami around the inromaru... if Genta never existed would Ika have gone to Ryunosuke and Kajiki to Mako based on the arrangement?

We may not have official pairings but there nothing stopping Miu from giving Mako advice!

It's really over! aah haha but seriously I am really sad Shinkenger's done now. =( Yeah, I agree with many people, this Sentai season ending should've had a better finale with team/character epilogues. With the team just offing Doukoku like that, it was kind of lame (sorry) and yes, a bit anticlimactic. But hey what can we do now, eh? Wait for a team-up or movie again lol.
Nice moves there, Jii. Surprised a little they didn't actually show him playing the guitar afterwards. I like how Ryunosuke did a little interpretive kabuki dance xp =] and how cute Kotoha and Kaoru looked and at Takeru. Seems out of place though when they left one by one during their farewells, made me want to cry. No handshakes or hugs? lol Yeah this Sentai was more traditional Japanese. Hrmm. But it fit!

Wondering...why did ****ari have to 'live'/end up back in purgatory, couldn't they have done with him too, for real?! Psh

This is the first Sentai I've watched every episode through, haven't seen the 2 movies yet, but I miss these guys already.

I thought i could give my opinion on the forums? Unanimous...what forums have you been to? People like it, but I still see more love for Liveman and Jetman. Shinkenger has been 40 episodes of a toy commercial, and 10 episodes focusing on a below average story

I don't wanna start an argument, but I am the admin of one of the biggest Shinkenger groups and one of the members of a big Shinkenger fan page on Facebook and everywhere I see are praise, praise, and more praise for Shinkenger. They (including myself) absolutely don't care about what's wrong with the season and just focus on what's good. Yeah, I don't really care how 40 episodes are like toy commericals like what you say, all I care about are the positives all the time.

I honestly respect your opinion and that you're entitled to it, but this is the reality of what the fans have said and experienced. I'm not a total otaku like some people here, I'm just a simple fan who wants to enjoy what Sentai (and all of Namco Bandai and Toei) has to offer.

And whatever happened to "if you don't like it, don't watch it"?

Shinkenger ranks pretty high for me in terms of sentai. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I finally saw Act 49 just now and i have to say: Job well done!!!:D

The unmorphed roll call was one for the books in terms of how memorable and fitting it was. Takeru's strategy in taking out Doukoku was a rather risky one but it worked, and i was very moved when he said that he was proud to have fought with his vassals. Just when it looked like there would finally be an episode where Tanba would stop being annoying, him making his own Disc and acknowledging Takeru as the current Lord, he just had to ruin it in the end with all the fiancee talk... Though i do have to say that Kaoru-hime looked really hot in that kimono she was shown wearing when she left!!!

Somehow, in the end after everyone left and it was now just Takeru and Jii, it didn't feel that depressing to me. Sure, some would consider it kinda lonely but it just had a satisfactory feeling. Their fight may go on, but despite all the likely future battles to come, only one thing really matters: Takeru Shiba is not alone! I don't joke around with that. His final smile at the very end confirms that very great feeling he now has deep inside him, that he has people who truly care about him, would give their lives for him, and are true friends.

All in all, if this is how i'm ending my Super Sentai stint, i will say that it ended on a great note!:)

It was a nice finale, but I am with some others on a certain point. It did feel lacking. The final battle with Doukoku should've been longer, maybe even the entire episode. They shouldn't have paused in the middle. It just seemed a little lame. I am sad to see them go, but I really did like this series. Looks like Sh!tari will be back for the team-up with Goseiger?!

Well, they'd need SOME reason to show up for the team up next year.

I, for one, enjoyed the finale. I was hesitant about Shinkenger from the start, I loved Go-on too much to move on, but as the series progressed and we got to Genta, I began to enjoy it a little bit each week. And I thought the finale made the season come around full circle. The season started off with Takeru and Jii. And ended with Takeru and Jii. But this time, Takeru isn't alone, he has friends and he's not living a lie anymore. And, if you notice, they didn't play the ending. The season started off with the opening playing, yes, but we didn't see the official opening until episode two. It ended the way it began.

I never really got any indications for pairings, maybe once or twice I saw Takeru/Kotoha after all the Takeru/Kotoha fans turned into Takeru/Mako fans, and after we found out about Takeru and realized how many times they kinda foreshadowed it, I began to highly respect Shinkenger for its writing.

Over all, Shinkenger had a good run. Bring on Goseiger.

Not a movie per se, but a "Special Act". It's called "Return of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger" And yes, it's set after Act 49, so it's a reunion!:D In short we don't have to wait a year to see the Shinkengers again when they team up with the Goseigers :D:)

Is it just me or do the suit actors appear to be of different heights than the actual actors, specifically Takeru/Ryuunosuke? Top most pic - Takeru looks like he's taller than Ryuunosuke, yet the bottom pic suggests otherwise.

Gosei Sentai Dairanger, Tensou Sentai Goseiger. I realize the gosei means "five star", but Toei could've probably found another name for the new series, but decided to go with a little homage instead.

Both Shinkenger and Goseiger's original robos' finishers are homages to previous ones. Shinken-Oh's is like Dairenoh/Thunder Megazord, while Gosei Great's reminds me of Muteki Shogun/Shogun Megazord.

nekolix, the shinkenred in the shinkenger universe was technically done because of lineage while mako getting the kabuto disk would have been based on ability/performance. the idea of red sounded good but kind of came off tacky to me. those episodes could have been better used to elaborate on things barely touched upon like kotoha's sister or even the appearance of the remaining former shinkenger all at once/ the families of the shinkenger to make Takeru feel alone and then appreciate Jii more/ make the others make him realize that he's not alone. well that's just my two cents.

I still haven't seeen the last episode or the movie of Shinkenger yet, but I already am convinced someone needs to write some Shinkenger/Inuyasha crossover fanfiction. I always thought it would've been nice if there had been a way in which Sango, Miroku, Kirara and Shippo could've been in the present time (if only for a limited time) since it just wasn't enough for me to see Inuyasha able to go back and forth through the bone eaters well.

...besides, just think of what the Gedoushu might do with one or more shards of the sacred jewel.

Honestly, I wish some people would stop throwing around the word homage in this fandom. Sometimes a reuse is just a reuse and there's no deeper meaning behind it. Otherwise, I could say Hikaru from Magiranger was a homage to that kid Hikaru from Dekaranger who was a homage to Hikaru from Gingaman who was a homage to Hikaru from Bioman because there all named Hikaru. See what I mean?

He's right, I mean, how are stuff in Sentai series homages to other stuff in past seasons without any deeper meaning? If A is an homage to B, if X is an homage to Y, and if A is an homage to B is an homage to X is an homage to Y, what's the deeper meaning behind them? If anything is an homage, there ALWAYS has to a deeper meaning behind it all.

That's Bandai speaking. I won't believe it's true until I hear that from Disney, since there'll be no Power Rangers Samurai toys unless the show gets made.

A lot things happens in two years from now, my friend. Knowing Bandai, we will have to see what Disney's official decision. If it's enough to bring Power Rangers back, but I don't think they will bring PR back at all. Why must Bandai have to speaking everything without Disney?! Disney's the one who holds the rights of Power Rangers Franchise, damn it! Anyhow, we will have to wait and see what's going happens in 2012.

One important thing that I don't want to hear that nonsense..."World will end in 2012!" I really hate that!

I didn't see a relationship between Kotoha and Takeru at all, that one episode with Takeru being the butler seemed strictly on friendship level to me, never got that. But I did defintely get the Kotoha/Chiaki vibe countless times.

Agreed. The only relationship between them was that Kotoha was very devoted to the vassal role. In the finale, I remember her saying "I'll give as many as I have." in response to Takeru asking his vassals to "Put their lives in his hands once again, and he'll do the same."

I thought the beginning episode where all the other Shinkengers receive the "Get Together" arrows was funny. Chiaki loses his bun because the arrow stabs at it, Ryunosuke runs off stage with his kabuki make-up still on, and poor Kotoha's arrow sucks itself to her forehead. Then before Takeru shows up with the henshin devices, everyone keeps mistaking the arriving members of the team as "their Lord."

You found exact proof of that? Where did it say that Shinkenger would be adapted? Don't anyone kill me but I'm a bit concerned for an adaptation of Shinkenger since its rather complex to translate to American waters with probably Caucasian actors. Unless it was something like the beginning of Jungle Fury where Lily, Theo, and Casey were training at a school to become masters or an academy of fighting masters (ninjas) aka Power Ranger Ninja Storm's Wind Ninja Academy.

Just finished watching The Go-onger team-up... it was funny... but I had one issue with it... why didn't they use the proper Go-onger roll call track during the team roll call? They used Shinkenger's fully through. It seemed odd to me.

No, it used both (Seigi no Road wo Tsukisumu AND Moetatsu Geki wa Seigi no Akashi). This is the first time it deviated from the usual format of the roll call.

Just got done with this series, I was really sad with the ending. But felt like it was needed. The movie was okay, like that Goseiger appeared in it. The fight between Takeru and Sousake (sp) was awsome. The whole Karou-Takeru thing is very wacky and confusing.
The blue ranger Ryunosuke is cool like the way he all for protecting the lord made me like him but not my favorite. The red ranger Takeru was my second favorite for the reason that he had ambition to fight Juzo Fuwa and his will to destroy any Gedoushu. Mako and Kotoha are evenly match for me but Kotoha is awesome for the fact she is the youngest and it took like most of the season to find out she can fight with the other and not have anyone bring her down. Chiaki and Genta are my favorite. Chiaki for being Green and I liked his goal of passing Takeru as lord which I wish happen. And Genta for being a sushi seller and his comedy make me laugh alot, plus Daigoyou was sweet and awesome for being a paper lanturn.

Im watching shikenger(5 eps in) and is it just me or was most of the episodes at the start of the season Chiaki HAs a problem, Kotoha has a problem now Ryonuske then Takeru....Does it break away from these types of episodes...and please no spoilers

Yeah, It does. They all had to get rid of there normal lives to server Takeru. So there should be some tension between them all.

The two series adapted as Beetleborgs were part of a trilogy, and there are two other Metal Heroes trilogies as well.

Maybe. They could have a new lord and rangers and if Shitari isn't used in the team up they could have him return as the head villian.

Agreed. But I think for comedy's sake, Ryu could be quite alright too. Freaking out that it's not his lord leading him into a fight.

The Shinkengers will all return sometime this year, teaming up with Goseiger. Why are you all saying only one or two? For the anniversary show after Goseiger? They could always to a mix of both: have one warrior to return (as civilians with speaking rolls) from each season for the bulk of the anniversary, then have each team return (just in suits, no speaking other than cuts of their roll calls) on a cliff top for the final battle.

I always enjoy seeing really old heroes come back. Seeing Red Falcon and Big One come back in Gaoranger was pretty epic

I think Shinkenger could do well with another season only if its a past or future generation team. Having the current team or the immediate previous/following squad of Shinkenger would leave too many plot holes.

And as for the anniversary, it is likely they will go with two Goseiger based on how they fight unless Hyde is the selected Goseiger.

I can only imagine the headache a tsundere-like trio of Miu, Mako, and Hyde would create on the remaining team
