Does anyone here think that Ninjor and Sentinel Knight might be Morphing Masters, or at least connected to them, given Ninjor's ability to create power coins seemingly with ease, and Sentinel Knight restoring Grid connections even when he's non-corporeal.

Thoughts?

Going by show continuity where Ninjor forged the original power coins and ninja coins and Sentinel Knight has/had the ability to restore powers I would agree that they are Morphing masters.

Didn't Zordon seem to know about the MM's though Ninjor was just a myth as far as he knew

It's possible that Zordon hadn't linked Ninjor to the MM in his mind, thinking him unconnected

Paging Simon Furman. We may be able to rejigger your "The Thirteen" mini into a PR comic...

I know your joking, but that does actually sound like something that would be good

I was always disappointed we didn't get the thirteen as a comic

Another thought, you could try to tie Ninjakon from the Ninja Storm toyline in somehow as well, having him connected to the ninja academies and the power discs.

Now who else coulld fit in here?

btw please actually post if you have some thoughts please

I've always felt Ninjakon was an obvious counterpart and teammate to Ninjor. So that, yes, there were five, maybe six of whatever the hell he was. Color coded. I like to think he was either a VERY early Warrior Mage for the Morphin Masters who had since passed into legend, or simply a descendant of the Venerated Ancestors who did in fact preface the Masters as Zordon knew of them.

I always loved the idea of characters such as Magna Defender, Ninja, debatably Ninjakon, Phantom Ranger, the original Masked Rider, and I guess Sentinal Knight, all being "Zordon's ancient warriors of Eltar".

Zordon either became senile and forgot about them, or we could add a plot device in which Zordon was injured when Rita betrayed him after the coin toss, and on the verge of death, when his DNA structure and mind was cloned and resurrected into the iconic soda can we know today. His past memories remained fuzzy thanks to amnesia, but he still kept the same mind and cognitions.

Or Zordon totally knew who Ninjor was and just made up the idea that he was possibly a myth to mess with the Rangers

Because Zordon does things without a reason. Yeah, I'm sorry, Peter's "Zordon is senile and has no idea what he's doing" thing irritates me. It reduces an archetype to its surface with no deeper complexity.

Doing things without a reason would tie in not knowing what you're doing, no?

I don't think Zordon is completely senile. I do think that he's not all there and that being a floating head for millennia has eroded his people skills among other things.

I agree Ninjor and Sentinel Knight could well be morphing masters, interesting theory.
