Best Zordon Era Yellow Ranger

So who do you think was the best ranger. Forget about looks and who you love the most who do you think did the best job as a ranger.

In my opinion the best yellow ranger was Trini with Tanya a close second. What do you think?

I'm at a toss up between Aisha and Tanya. Aisha was pallet swap kimberly, but she was also a trained ninja so there was some real strength backing her up. However, Tanya's actress was a better fighter, the character herself was pretty strong, she comes from a family of hollywood archeologists e.g. modern adventurers, and was shown actually training with the guys. I tend to lean towards Tanya because she was shown training, which lets me think she was a little more serious about being ready to fight evil.

They all kind of suck to me but if I had to pick a Zordon era yellow ranger to start a power ranger team with I would probably pick Ashley.

Hey everyone, I'm new here. As for the topic, I think Tanya, simply because she had NO experience when she came and turned out to be a VERY good ranger, a vital replacement for another good ranger in Aisha.

I forgot to voice my opinion earlier lol. This is a tough one.i think they all have their features as yellow. I liked them all. Trini she did soime sort of gymnastics correct me if iam wrong since i know it wasnt that lol. Aisha showed potential when she recieved the power. I think Tanya was literally thrown into it. I dont remember her story all i remember is the search for the zeo crystal Aisha traded each other spots while back in time. Ashley i like her alot on Pris but not as much in Turbo. Tanya and ashley

I still laugh how Platypus is only saying Aisha is a pallete swap Kim, simply because he saw Crayfish say it once, and through blindly following just repeats it each time.

Honestly, so much supports Aisha being such a differnet person to Kim. An innovative, independant ranger, didn't need a guy to advance her character, nor did she need constant focus, or needing to constantly be the voice. Descriptions which, do not apply to Kim.

Aisha saved all the rangers, and the Earth, before she was even given powers in Zedd Waves.

And her innovation and quick thinking saved everyone in Rita's Pita, and Stop The Hate Master.

It's laughable to see her still being regarded as only a black Kim by people, just because they've seen a certain someone say it a few times, it really is.

Make your own judgement based on what you actually see her do.

Anyway. My views are this. Trini may be my favorite as a person, but Aisha strikes me as the best of what a yellow ranger can be in duty.

Tanya is very likable, very admirable and great as a person or ranger, I've no real criticisms, she came a LONG way and is an inspiration. But I didn't feel her ranger achievements topped Aisha.

Ashley, meh, dunno, never really got anything from her. Maybe I'm missing something, but she was the least of the Turbo2 I really understood or got. Any Ashley fans wanna big her up for me, it's welcome.

Pretty girl, interested in shopping, aiming for cute. She was "sassy". She was pretty uninteresting on her own. Sounds like Kimberly to me. The only real difference was that Aisha was interested in animals while Kim was interested in gymnastics and Aisha started as a ninja. Tell me, what great defining characteristics Aisha has, if I'm just parroting Crayfish? Was she competetive? Was she more agressive than Kim? Did she have some defining character arc?

I have two solid choices.

1. is definitely Trini. She was a solid fighter and could always handle herself well in battle. She was strong and pretty much never called for help.

2. is Ashley. She was a strong fighter and she seemed more well-rounded as a character too.

Kim and Aisha are similar in some limited characteristics, yes, but not all characteristics, and certainly aren't the same... especialy not to the point where the semantics of "pallete-swap" come into play. Otherwise, what's to stop us calling pretty much everyone in PR a pallete-swap, just because they happen to have similar characteristics to someone else? If you break it down, it's a really silly concept. The thought isn't really your own, and I still stand by the notion that you're only saying it because you saw a certain person say it themself.

And CalamityKimberly, not hate. Hate is a strong word that people overuse so much, I simply don't see the bandwagon good in her that gets thrown around too much in favour of dominating flaws too big to brush off, and don't look too favourably upon her in areas that I see others as much better in. I can't hate something that isn't real.

There's a trick to circumvent that. Spaces count. I often put "A ?" in the hangman threads, with multiple spaces between the letter and the question mark. So in this case, six spaces between LOL and ! would've allowed the post to simply appear as "LOL !", because multiple spaces get displayed as one, but the forum still acknowledges that you used 10 characters. :)

I like Ashley the best. I felt she had the best personality and she was very genuine. Trini was boring, Aisha was Kimberly II, and I think Tanya was bipolar....when she first came in she was all happy but i noticed in Turbo she was all pissed off a lot, most of the time at Justin lol.

Aside from SOME things similar, I really don't see Aisha as Kim 2. Kim was always the center of attention, attached to Tommy's side, LOL, always getting in trouble with the villain, Aisha was resourceful, as stated before, she helped the rangers well before she became a ranger, it was her that knocked Ooze off the megazord before the comet hit them, she was the one that lured the monsters to the net capture in The Wedding pt 3. She was the one that saved them from the Hate Master's spell, She was the one that helped Rocky, Kim and Tommy escape from the story book in Story Book Rangers. I'm sure there are many others that I haven't mentioned. Kim was worthless, i use to be a fan, but as I got older she just got annoying, Kat was a hell of a lot better.

This is really hard because they're all great but I would have to say Tanya, in my opinion she had the best progression into becoming a Ranger and you really could see her improvment.

As to the question, I'd say Trini or Tanya. Of all of them, they seemed to fit best with their respective teams, and actually served some sort of purpose. Well I have nothing against Aisha, Ashley or Tideus, they were kind of just there IMO.

I have avoided this thread like the plague as a fence sitter. IMO the best Zordon era girls are both Pink and I don't really care for any of the yellows. Really if I were magically transported to the PRU I would probably hang out with the guys. But to choose one Zordon era Yellow I'm gonna have to go with Ashley. Sure she wasn't the brightest glow stick at at the rave, caused some problems, and seemed like a two timer. But she did get some great development seeming to learn from her mistakes, grow in maturity, and even grow some braincells during Space and was a vicious fighter.

It will not affect my decision as Tanya and Ashley were the best skill and attitude wise.

Aisha or Tanya, but I'm leaning more towards Tanya. As those who have said in previous posts, Tanya entered the team as a novice, in comparison to cohorts minus Kat. Despite being new to the team and environment change, she proved to a strong team member and did not limit herself to a stereotype. She was a part of the baseball team, she was a phenomenal singer and DJ, and she developed her own unique fighting style.
