MMPR "Green With Evil, Part 2" Episode

"We're Doomed!" was one of the most unintentionally hilarious thing I've ever since in these reversions.

I see from Henshin Grid that we got another speech bubble ending: "I need Dinozord power!" - when Jason wasn't even morphed. Weird. :question:

And they also introduced Tommy's credit! Looks like they'll be using the correct green coin logo. :) But why didn't they add JDF's middle name?

That "I Need DinoZord Power" totally took away from the seriousness of the end there.

-I love the emphasis on Tommy's powers. The glow added to his fist and sword was a nice touch. I also like the lightning effects added to the teleportation.
-"BETRAYED!" Hahaha! Funny. The little scoreboard next to Tommy was funny as well.

Dislikes:
-The Tommy cast screen in the opening credits was good, except... Green Ranger freezes with his hands up? He's not being held up by police.
-Billy and Zack get beaten down twice in the same exact manner. What the heck?
-"I need Dinozord Power!" Jason, you're not even morphed.

And again they use incorrect katakana... It read "Puma" when I think they were going for "Buma" or "Boom". But otherwise the episode edits weren't so bad, some of them were passable and easily tolerable.

Wasn't the opening not changed until part 5 originally though? At which point the Next Time segment had revealed it anyway. If this wasn't repeats, it would be a spoiler showing it so early.

In these episodes, his credit was just Jason Frank. The middle name came later in MMPR. Can't remember if it was before or after his switch to White.

I noticed that JF's credit was totally in upper and lower case letters. The first five have the actor name in all caps. I love how bad production teams have really low attention to detail when it comes to things like this.

Don't forget "BETRAYED" when Tommy sends Jason to the Dark Dimension. As if Tommy beating the crap out of the team last episode wasn't a betrayal. Or as is Jason is supposed to have any clue Tommy was the one who "BETRAYED" him yet.

This episode is another is the second part of the Green with Evil saga, as cool the changes...

The new Opening is cool, and the new scenes are cool, the scene with Dragonzord and see the Megazord in tank mode and the opening ends with the 5 rangers like as usual in the Disney opening series in PR
The effects use the Sword of darkerness as cool and whe nTommy battle the putties as pretty.
When Tommy face the four rangers in battle we see new effects add too, and even when the rangers form the Megazord and see Megazord use is hands and to make Tommy with fear we heard machine effects

yh, they could made that, like they do in MMPR S3 and PRZ because there they can form the Megazord with out of the main zord of the lader ranger

That's what's cool about Sentai, there are NO RULES. The Sentai heroes morph in front of civilians all the time.

The Sentai rangers have secret identities less often than Power Rangers does. The Zyurangers didn't keep their identities a secret for instance.

If Dan Evans edited a whole scene out, it would be because Disney told him to (for example, Squatt not being seen spiking the drink a few episodes ago was probably because it was cut for time). Often he just obscures hits with those silly word graphics. Definitely not a mistake, sadly. I'd rather nothing was cut, obviously.

Well in the Zyuranger's case, they really didn't need secret identities because they were from a radically different time period. The typical superhero scenario doesn't apply to them. (And while you could make a case with Time Force being kept secret, that's because they were from the future and didn't need to alter the past anymore than they needed to.)

What can only be considered an editing mistake: Some of the fight is cut (Green vs. Pink and Yellow), resulting in another part of the fight (Green vs. Black and Blue) being played twice, yet with the original audio at the original pacing.The question still remains about whether it was deliberate or not, but if it was, they should've edited the sound too. Had to be deliberate, since it was still present in the rerun of part 2 yesterday. When that scene is replayed in part 3 and they cut it again, we'll know (but judging by how they did flashbacks in "Foul Play in the Sky", it'll probably be so cloudy as to make it unwatchable anyway).

And summoning the Megazord isn't a breaking of the rules since they didn't step on him or use the sword. They merely got inside and used their shield to deflect his blasts. Why he didn't just do like he did in part 1, and hop up on the head and go inside again, is the biggest lingering question. Maybe the Sword of Darkness couldn't fit inside?
