Hello Mike. :)
Gem and Gemma are so enthusiastic and hyperactive. Were they fun to play, with policies such as 'let's blow stuff up' and 'we'll shoot first but not ask questions later'?
Also, what was it like with the characters finishing each others' sentences all the time?
Mike Ginn

Heya Guys!
Thanks for having me, I'll do my best to come here personally to answer your questions :)
Hey Kadam91, the rest of the cast were cool to work with! I did a theatre play with Ari before and had met and worked with Li Ming at an acting workshop a few years earlier too. The cast were all so talented it was great watching them bring their own character to life, all the characters are so different and heightened it was fun and interacting with them on screen!
<Hands Quark a paper bag> Breathe into that lol.
Heya Digifiend! This year I finished shooting a couple of NZ feature films, but I'm currently working on getting my butt to LA! lol. I have JUST received the last piece of my visa application tonight and so my immigration lawyers can begin processing it, I'm expecting to get there around late August, so excitied. To keep updated with what projects I'm doing here is my imdb page... http://www.imdb.me/mikeginn
Or I can just keep you guys updated on here lol.
Sup Razor, it was a blast playing Gem. Lol it was silly fun to act like a kid wanting to blow things up, but of course I still had to approach the work professionally. Gem was a fun character to play, it was refreshing since I dont normally get roles like that lol, normally I get straight dramatic roles so it was fun to switch that up and let loose lol.
Lol people did call her Li on set too, but her first name is actually Li Ming. It was cool working with Li Ming, she was very professional too and had a good working relationship.
Hi PRGirl, I found out about the role when my NZ agent sent me the audition for it. On set, I'm sure it's no surprise it was Li Ming lol.
Hello Rheannan, how are you? Lol yeah they were fun to play being so enthusiastic and hypo lol, they take a lot of energy to sustain, during set ups for the shots I'd always be sitting and power napping to conserve my energy to unleash when we were on lol. And yeah they said such bizzare things most of the time it was fun playing up those lines and their weird actions lol.
Finishing each other's lines was another refreshing task to take on, I'm sure most actors have never had to do that like we did... I enjoyed it for that reason I think. I auditioned with a few girls when they were casting for Silver and out of them, Li Ming did have the tightest delivery with me, and trust me it's a lot harder than it looks lol. Was fun :)
Thanks for the questions guys, I'll try to come back when I can to answer any other questions you all have, till then have fun!
RPM Get in Gear!

P.S. Who's excited about the new PR season?!

Gem was a fun character to play, it was refreshing since I dont normally get roles like that lol, normally I get straight dramatic roles so it was fun to switch that up and let loose lol.
You and Li Ming were fun to watch though. And once someone has done a certain type of role well, I'd imagine they'd be good at it elsewhere too, provided they wanted to do that sort of thing again.
Would you want to do a role similar to that again (perhaps just without the sentence-finishing, as that's pretty unique)?
Hello Rheannan, how are you? It's good to hear you enjoyed doing the role, that it was fun as well as work (because of them being so hyperactive). And that's not surprising at all that it took a lot of energy to do.
I can imagine getting the sentences right could be tricky. Were any of those scenes (where you had to finish each others' sentences) particularly difficult to get right?
P.S. Who's excited about the new PR season?!

Hi Mike, you & Li Ming were funny and enjoyable to watch on RPM, two of my favorite rangers =]
My questions: did the production crew ever make you guys look at Go-onger (Sentai version) footage to help influence your ranger portrayals?
What was it like working with the others in the cast and did you get to keep anything post-show?
I am excited for the new P.R. season, anxious but can't wait!
Thanks again

Hi. I was wondering if you think there's a little part of Gem's personality in you in real life. Also, which Power Ranger Character...if any...do you think is the most like your real personality.
Mike Ginn
07-13-2010, 12:38 PM
Hey Kadam! Thank you for asking. :) I just googled Power Morphicon and found out the date's 27-29th August, my immigration lawyers expect I'll have my visa approved for my by late August / early September! If I get to LA before then I'd love to go, even if not as an official guest, just go undercover with a baseball cap on lol. Adelaide Kane is in LA atm too, I'll try to get her to come along lol. Otherwise I'd be more than willing anywhere else other than where I'm living if I had accomodation and airfare paid for me, who wouldn't? lol
Hi Rheannan. Would I want to do a similar role to Gem's character again?..... yeah, depends on the project I guess, if it were a project I wanted to do I think I would play whatever type of character they wanted me to play. But sure, I definitely wouldn't mind playing a role similar to Gem again, he was fun. Is it my ideal role, not quite lol.
Hmmmm I'm trying to think back if there was a difficult scene to do with finishing each other's sentences... not that I can think of off the top of my head... If I think about one I'll get back to you... lol
*waves hand too*... oh I'm following talk about the casting of next season on Backstage.com's message board and apparently casting for it is taking way long lol
Cool, Razor, keep em coming if ya want. No, Li Ming and I didn't spend a lot of time off screen to work out a chemistry, I think it was just there, I'm sure we did talk about Gem and Gemma beforehand, but we didn't have any rehearsals together to get the chemistry or anything.
You're very welcome PRGirl, thanks for asking. And cool, me too! :)
Oh that's really cool Altima X Ranger! No we weren't encouraged to watch any of the sentai footage, we were left completely to do whatever we wanted for our own acting/character building process. Plus, it wouldn't have worked for me, Go-onger Gold was the complete opposite to RPM Gold! lol
It was cool working with the other cast members, great seeing good actors do their thing, and I thought all of the cast were very talented.
Did I keep anything post show as in props? No I didn't, apparently everything gets destroyed... BUT someone did steal a leather jacket of each of the RBYBG rangers from the costume department lol
On the last day of shoot though I did get given the Gold Power Ranger action figure and a Maori black stone necklace. :)
Yeah, I wanna see who they cast! lol

Hiya,
Question: What was your favorite episode to play Gem in ? And why?
Mike Ginn
07-13-2010, 12:59 PM
Hi LadyWingKnight, yes there is definitely a part of Gem's personality in me in real life. Definitely when I was younger, I'm sure there's a part of Gem's personality in most kids (hopefully not the wanting to blow things up part). But I was a silly kid when I was younger. Y'know, there's only 1 thing that I remember out of all the report cards I've ever had at school, and this was from a report card in Elementary School. The only thing I remember was one like... "Mike is often silly".
It makes more sense to think of it now as there is a part of me in Gem. Actor's definitely put and have a part of themselves in any character they play, just because that is still them on screen even though they're playing as someone else and we draw upon our own experiences to create this new character. So I guess you could see Gem as me, on a silly day, when I was a child, wanting to blow things up lol.
Which Power Ranger character is most like my real personality...From RPM... Flynn maybe??? Only cause he seemed the most normal out of them all lol. His only thing was he wanted to be a superhero and that's like me being an actor doing acting lol.
Mike Ginn
07-13-2010, 01:09 PM
Hey MysticPink! My favorite episode to play Gem in was episode 20 - Heroes Among Us (where he earns the Medal of Valor). Why, because that was the episode where Gem had a good personal journey where he first started maturing that little bit more. It was good to have him experience being sensitive to someone's hurt feelings, and just having him feel deeper more human emotions than the usual wicked excitement from wanting to blow up some grinders lol.

Also, what do you think of a possible team-up with a future sushi-selling Gold ranger?
Hope that's ok. Take care now

Hey Quark! Btw I knew your name seemed familiar, I spied on message boards while shooting RPM and remember you having some cool Gem avatars back then lol.
I actually dug out my acting notes I used for Power Rangers to answer this question lol. These were some scribbles I had written down for the Gem character before shooting...
Animated! ENERGY. Have fun! Gold just wants to have fun! Has fun doing what he does. Hyper? Like on a whole ot of red bulls!! Jack Black. A young naive boy. He's a kid. As a ranger takes it more seriously. More direct and focused when fighting...
That was just some of the notes I made lol.
Hey Sis! (SilverRangerGemma). Sometimes it can be very very difficult to film something when you get the giggles!! When I get the giggles during filming I find it extremely difficult to stop! lol. Rose McIver actually told us of an excellent way to try to hold it in which is when you feel like laughing and it's a moment where you're not supposed to be, push your tongue hard against the back of your front teeth. I found myself using that a few times and will continue to use that lol.
Milo is a funny guy and an excellent actor, I thought he was amazing as Ziggy. When watching eps that guy totally cracks me up. I personally didn't find the final moment in the Ghost episode funny as I was acting in the scene in that moment so I was fine for that particular example, pheww.
Yeah they had some funny bloopers in the behind the scenes episodes, I actually didn't make many myself personally if you notice from that blooper reel lol.
And it's great visiting here, thanks for having me and say hi to your friend for me. Mike says hi! :)
Hey PRGirl, Being in NZ we only got the first season MMPR and the movie shown here, PR got banned from NZ tv after the first season cause there was this whole thing with kids trying to imitate them in school and there were fights etc lol I dunno...
But yes, I did watch it when it first started, since then I've only seen bits of Power Rangers on youtube when I got into acting and knew it was being filmed here.
My favorite season was... hmmm... RPM!! lol.. it's a heavily biased answer however lol. Other than RPM, I would have to say SPD from the ones I've seen.
Hey Kadam, I only got to see the japanese version when I was researching what the RPM eqivalent was. Hmm I'm not sure what to think of it, to be honest I didn't see a whole lot like whole episodes just bits of it from things people put on youtube which were just selected cool parts lol. Hmm this question is hard, I don't know what I think of it actually lol.. it's the Japanese version of the American Power Rangers... sorry this question has me stumped. Maybe I'll have to get back to you on this.. lol
Hey Tasha!! Wassup?! Thank you so much for that, I really appreciate it, I'm very happy you enjoyed Gem and RPM! It means a lot to me that you did! :D
Yes, RPM in Power Rangers RPM stands for 'Racing Performance Machines'.
In general and outside of Power Rangers though, it stands for 'revolutions per minute' which measures how fast something is rotating, commonly used for engines in cars.
What did I think of Gem and Gemma coordination? I thought it was a fun to do, sometimes it was good and tight, sometimes less so. But overall a fun thing for two characters to do and actors to play. Hope that answered your question.
Hey Altima, no probs, thanks for asking!
My favorite food is steak lol. I love eating meat. My favorite artist is a NZ singer called Brooke Fraser (though I haven't heard anything new from her for a while now). Yes, I have heard of Nesian Mystik, they are a popular NZ band here, 2 of its members were on TV this afternoon. lol
Possible team up? Not completely sure what you mean lol, you mean on the show or me teaming up in real life as Mike Ginn with a sushi selling Gold Power Ranger to... eat lunch? Fight grinders? I'd team up to do either lol.
You're very welcome LadyWingKnight, thanks for asking :)
Fury Diamond, Kadam, Delgado (cool sig), PRGirl, thanks for the birthday wishes!! :)

Good times, good times. So you were checking out responses while the episodes were airing? How did you feel about the reactions to Gem? I remember the the fans being pretty split down the middle with their opinion of G&G early on. I think you won a lot of people over with Heroes Among Us (as did Li Ming Hu in Not So Simple).
Animated! ENERGY. Have fun! Gold just wants to have fun! Has fun doing what he does. Hyper? Like on a whole ot of red bulls!! Jack Black. A young naive boy. He's a kid. As a ranger takes it more seriously. More direct and focused when fighting...

Mike, what was the most difficult scene you had to do during your time on Power Rangers RPM?

Hello Mike! I have a question. It is clear Gem (and hi sister Gemma) were deeply disturbed and had many psychological problems. Was there any point during filming that you thought your lines were completely insane? (Be it the actual line itself, or the way they wanted you to say it?)

Hey Quark, yep that was the gif, sweet pic lol. It was funny how that "meh" came out too, it wasn't in the script and I hadn't even planned on saying it but it just came out after Colonel Truman's line to us.
I loved reactions to G&G, the characters seemed very controversial and the reactions were very strong and contrasting, but what I like about that was the characters affected people. It would've been bad if it was all negative, but the fact that there were ppl that felt very positively about them too made them a good topic of controversy which is way more exciting than portraying a boring ranger no one talks about lol.
You're welcome MysticPink, thanks for asking.
Hey Rheannan, don't get me wrong I loved and had great fun playing Gem, and loved his energy and jumping around being hyperactive etc lol, but what I meant was he wasn't my ideal ideal role if ya know what I mean. I feel more fufilled doing serious dramatic roles and my ideal role maybe something closer to that.. :)
Hai redranger1... hmm nothing springs to mind about most difficult scene sorry, if I think of something I'll let ya know.
If I had to introduced one thing naughty to Power Rangers it would be an adults only series of episodes for adult viewers. And why? Because it would be so curious to see what Power Rangers would be like if made for an adult audience with adult themes lol.
Similarites/differences between me and Gem... well Gem is inspired from myself when I'm really silly, that part of our personality is similar. I am also a twin in real life and similarly my twin is not identical but is my brother not sister.
Difference: I'm not some nutty explosion crazy loon..?
Good questions!!
Hi Saphira! Yeah, there were a lot of insane lines and moments. I do remember an acting choice we made to feel all warm and happy when we were telling the other rangers about our being prisoners/slaves. Also I remember reading the boards and how ppl thought a particular line of ours was insane, the one about vaporizing a Venjix factory from sub-orbit (with all the prisoners still in it) lol... maybe they're just misunderstood lol. I've never really thought of them as insane though, just over excitable children playing some big video game where they get to kill and blow up baddies lol.

Did they generally let the cast improvise at all? For example, if something seemed like it would just sound better or more natural in the given situation.

Hello Mr. Ginn, it's very nice to see you here at the forum. I was wondering, how did you think your character, along with the character Gemma, would be recieved? Gem and Gemma are two of the most interesting characters in all of PR simply because they act so incredibly different from not only their counterparts in the sentai RPM is an adaptation of, but also because they act so differently than any of the other characters in the show.
Thanks for your time sir, and I hope you have a wonderful day.

thanks for answering previous q's, here's another:
for some reason, I always thought that after your characters were introduced, Gem and Gemma would be revealed to be secret evil spies from ABC Soup or similar to how Dillon and Tenaya were programmed. But I know u guys stayed friends with K.
Do u feel it might have been cool to turn 'evil'/against the other 5 rangers and Dr. K when you guys were first revealed coming back or that it might seem too 'cliche'? (like how some rangers before were 'Bad' then returned to Good)
Also, did you ever get to perform your fights and stunts yourself? How long was training for the role?

Hi Mike! Here Raśl from Spain. Just discovered this thread, and though I may ask a silly question:
1. Were Gem, Gemma or Dillon given a lastname on set or in the scripts?
2. Also, what about Dr.K's real name?
Maybe behind the scenes you were told that info, but it never appeared onscreen.
3. Also, did they tell you what year is the series supposed to be?
Thanks for answering our questions, that's so cool from you!
Cheers and see you in Barcelona, Spain if u ever come here!

Hey guys, sorry for the long post, thought my answers might be easier to read with quotes from your original posts :)
You're a twin?? That's so cool!!! So am I! :)
Hey PRGirl, haha cool, identical or unidentical?
Did they generally let the cast improvise at all? For example, if something seemed like it would just sound better or more natural in the given situation.
Neat. (Do you get on well?)
However, on the subject of possible character backgrounds, did the writers add anything that wasn't mentioned in the show, but that you knew about?
Hi Rheannan, no they generally don't let cast improvise at all. They have a script supervisor that lets us know if we've strayed too much from the script. But in one example Dan didn't think it was appropriate to say a particular line that he talked to Chip about which fell onto me to say in the end lol. Didn't make it in the episode in the end though lol. As for the "meh" it just came out and felt right at that moment for me and they kept it lol.
And yes, I do get on with my twin. He's a lawyer and even though our professions are so different we have plenty of similarities in our personalities
The only character background I saw was in the early days of auditioning but the characters had changed by then. Back then the twins were called Yin and Yang lol!
Sorry can't remember much else, but there were only minor difference from that brief and what everyone saw in the end..
Anyway... Hello, Mike! Nice to see you here!
Do you have any favorite episodes of RPM? If so, which?
Hey JFWR, thanks, nice to be here.
I quite liked Ep20 Heroes Among Us and Ep18 Belly of the Beast.
Hello Mr. Ginn, it's very nice to see you here at the forum. I was wondering, how did you think your character, along with the character Gemma, would be recieved? Hey TZMhero, thanks I had a pretty good day actually. I didn't particularly anticipate how G&G would be received nor did I have any big ideas how they would be, but I could tell they were hugely different with their personalities and the shared speech idea I've never seen before. I knew there are a lot of PR fans on both sides of the fence for/against G&G and I wasn't hugely surprised by that also, but was happy to portray such a diverse character that could fuel some division between fans in terms of an interesting topic for conversation lol.
Mike: how as it like being the gold ranger minus the fact that the zord was a rooster?
Hey Shinkenred... oh the Chicken zord!! lol
Man, it was AWESOME being the gold ranger lol. Dressing up as a power ranger, kickin grinder butt, it was sweeet. What can I say? I would've paid them to have done all that, was great fun. I can say I was a power ranger, I think that's cool lol. And I think the chicken/rooster/falcon zord was a hoot lol.
Hey Altima, do I feel that it would've been cool to turn evil against the power rangers? I think that would've been freakin awesome lol. Imagine G&G's personalities wanting to blow up the Power Rangers, that would've been hilarious. I remember Eddie mentioning a POSSIBILITY of an idea of something like that in the early days...
We performed some of our own fights and stunts. As soon as you don't see our faces in the fight or stunt and the character is conveniently blocking their face with their arm it's not us lol. I think the original 5 rangers got a week (or 2?) of bootcamp training... Li Ming and I got about only 3-4 days, I was soo jealous.
Hi Raśl from Spain, greetings from New Zealand (LA, hopefully soon!!).
1. No, they were. Gem was given the nickname of 'Kaboom' in ADR (additional dialogue recording) cause they couldn't have a 'Gem' and 'Gemma' file for alphabetical ordering purposes, so if they were to have a last name it'd probably be Kaboom or Boom lol.
2. Dr Kandy?? No idea sorry, what you saw is what I got.
3. No, they didn't tell us what year either lol. I guess a specific year wasn't too too relelvant... did they even say it was Earth too? Can't remember..
If I'm in Barcelona I'll definitely let ya know, you can show me around lol.
Another Q: What was your reaction when you was told to be the Gem of RPM????
Thanks for the belated birtday wishes Tasha!
My reaction was of complete excitement! I can't remember exactly how it was, but I would've been going "YES! YES! YES! OMG THIS IS SO COOL", something like that lol.
Thank you for answering me questions, Mike. (excuse me Liverpudian accent)
My pleasure, redranger1. Excuse me New Zealand accent. :)

ok. first off i wanna say it's a pleasure to meet you Mike.
Okay, now i'm gunna get to the gritty nitty with my questions.
1. You worked so well with your cast mate Li Ming Hu (Gemma) on screen. was it difficult to create that chemistry with her or did you have it right from the start.
2. Do you have any advice for the Ranger Crew members who want to become a cast member of a future power rangers season?
3. What were your feelings like to find out that, this was the last original disney season?
4. If Saban decides to start the team-ups again, would you come back as gem?

How was the feeling wearing the suit. :)
Do you do that often or any stunts?

But in one example Dan didn't think it was appropriate to say a particular line that he talked to Chip about which fell onto me to say in the end lol.
It sounds like they just wanted someone to say it. :p
The only character background I saw was in the early days of auditioning but the characters had changed by then. Back then the twins were called Yin and Yang lol!
Were they considering those as names? They sound like working titles of names until they came up with 'Gem and Gemma'.
We performed some of our own fights and stunts.
Which kinds of fights and stunts did you get to do yourselves? I'm sure there would have been a point at which they said it was too dangerous for the cast to be doing.

Supposedly your Super Sentai counterpart is returning for an 'anniversary season' in Japan. When they adapt that series in 4 or 5 years for PR I expect you to be there, Mike!

What is your all time favourite movie?
If you were given chance to be a detective or a cop which agency or country would you choose to be?

Hey redranger! I had a friend describe me crazy and weird very recently... Crazy and weird? lol
ok. first off i wanna say it's a pleasure to meet you Mike.
Okay, now i'm gunna get to the gritty nitty with my questions.
1. You worked so well with your cast mate Li Ming Hu (Gemma) on screen. was it difficult to create that chemistry with her or did you have it right from the start.

4. If Saban decides to start the team-ups again, would you come back as gem?
It's a pleasure to meet you too Sailorscoutx! Can I also say, I loved Sailor Moon haha I used to watch it all the time. I though Renee was soo cute lol.
1. I think it was there from the start. Li Ming is a good actress so I guess it wasn't hard.
2. Sure, I'd say learn to act well so you can kill it in the audition. To be honest, I think they put a lot of emphasis on the "right look" too (whatever a power ranger is supposed to "look like"), it's just the nature of the industry to be honest which is kinda sad. But you can't do anything about the look you were born with so just kick *** in your acting. Learn to act and act well, do lots of acting workshops, get an agent or someone that can submit you for the Power Rangers show when they cast or even find a way to contact the casting director???
3. Well when I was in drama school in New Zealand, for the last few seasons leading up to RPM they were saying it's the last season, it's the last season, and throughout school I was just hoping like mad there would be another season casting in the year I graduated drama school so I could audition... And when I graduated I was happy to hear there was another season of PR casting! While shooting they announced RPM was the last season of PR (at the time altogether), my feelings were just that I was so extremely fortunate that I was able to be apart of the show! :)
4. Sure.
It sounds like they just wanted someone to say it. :p
Were they considering those as names? They sound like working titles of names until they came up with 'Gem and Gemma'.
Which kinds of fights and stunts did you get to do yourselves? I'm sure there would have been a point at which they said it was too dangerous for the cast to be doing.
Yeah, well the line was pretty much a dry joke, and since the line was directed at Ziggy, the only other person that could've been appropriate to say it was Gem lol
I don't know if they were considering actually using it but it was the working names just like Scott, Flynn, Summer, Dillon and Ziggy were on the character briefs too though, they just changed Yin and Yang after we were cast. They were auditioning all ethnicities besides Asian actors for Gold & Silver though, so maybe when Li Ming and I were cast they thought it might've been too... ok, I actually have no idea haha, I should ask Eddie G about this lol
You can see for yourself which stunts and fights we did, just watch carefully, if you can see our faces then obviously that's us, but if you can't see our faces then that's the stunt actor. The stunt actors try very hard to hide their faces and at the same time the director is trying to optimized face time of the real actors during the fights too so the line is very very clear when it's us and when it's not, just look to see if you can see our faces... then you can also see which actor needed their stunt actor to do their fights more for them and which actor did a lot of their own fights... Sorry if I just destroyed some movie magic for some people out there lol.
Well, You would have enjoyed it much! You say that you are a twin!Identical one, isn't it? May I know his name!
Yes, I do have a twin, but no, he is unidentical. We look like any other two brothers would look like if we weren't twins. His name is Ken :)
So, I'm gonna be the weird guy and ask, what do you think your character is doing right now, in-universe?
That's not weird, that's a fun question haha. Y'know what, I see him with virtual reality goggles on running some training program where he gets to fight a whole lot of grinders and blow lots of stuff up with his guns and megazord lol. I think it's hardwired in Gem and Gemma's nature to always want to fight and blow stuff up, they get so much enjoyment from it that when there's no more grinders and no more morphers they need some way to release that fight tension in them... but oh wait they were pilots at the end too so maybe they're flying around in fighter jets blowing stuff up too?? lol
Supposedly your Super Sentai counterpart is returning for an 'anniversary season' in Japan. When they adapt that series in 4 or 5 years for PR I expect you to be there, Mike!

Being mischievous when I was a kid... I think I would be considered only MILDLY naughty as a kid. I do remember stealing a lego man from school in elementary school. I hid it in my sock and took it home haha.
I don't currently have a favourite movie. It USED to be Forrest Gump though.
Probably the FBI, only so I can say "special agent Mike Ginn, FBI" while flipping open my ID lol

Sure, I see a lot of them now and again since a few of them have moved to LA too now. We gather at Eddie Guzelians a lot for occasions like Thanksgiving etc lol
Thanks a ton for accepting my invite, Mike!
Was it tough to say some of the tech lines? (in example: The Bio-Tech blah-blah-blah lol)
No probs, buddy, thanks for the request. Umm I don't remember it being overly tough, what I'd do is practice saying those difficult lines over and over again until my mouth and brain has gotten used to saying it. It's kinda like saying a tongue twister, if you say it for the first time it's tough but if you constantly say it alot it kinda becomes second nature since your brain and mouth get used to saying the sounds in that order. So if ya practice your lines, no problemo :P
Hey mike do you think Venjix destroyed all the ranger teams except rpm when he came into power? did you ever cuss on set by accident? have you ever watched go-onger? do people call you Gem in public?
Haha sorry I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to Power Rangers continuity... but if I had to guess I'd say no, only cause how can you beat the power rangers? You can't!!
I don't remember ever cussing on set by accident..
I have watched Go-Onger but not a full episode, just clips on Youtube lol.
Nope, never been called Gem in public... funnily enough, I haven't run into any Power Ranger fans in public since relocating to LA a year ago lol
What was it like playing one of the two characters who had the philosophy of "Blow stuff up now, blow stuff up later, blow up some more stuff, and ask questions once you caused enough collateral damage?"
Haha fun and good times. They've kinda got that "KILL KILL KILL" mentality but dressed up as "blow stuff up" in a kiddie way which was hilarious. More fun too having a partner in crime with the same mentality too so I'm not crazy on my own haha
Thanks for the details, that would actually be pretty easy to spot, then. :)
So easy dude, I can't help not see it in movies I watch now. I remember watching Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow fight scene in Iron Man 2 and remember thinking, she didn't do all that much, especially the wicked cool moves haha.
Thanks a lot for answering me once more!;) You have been a good naughty thing,I see! I always prefer FBI.I love being a Special Agent too. That was a lovely ID flip!

Naughty = fun haha.
Passion for vehicles... I really like street racing looking cars. I like the Mitsubishi Evos (they use those a lot as the hero cars in the Fast and the Furious movies). Also since moving here I'm digging the American cars, we have Ford cars in New Zealand but no Mustangs so that's the car I bought. It already came with a body kit too, but since driving it I'm not a fan of lowered front bumpers, so annoying going over bumps and dips, have to take it at angles or it scrapes lol
Maybe, do I get to kick ***? lol
Haha I am straight and no it's not rude, I'm here to answer questsions lol. Ok, facts about my dream girl lol... well first of all while I have features that appeal to me, any girl without those features could still be my "dream girl" if we really connected, like I don't discriminate in the girl department at all. But I like redheads, like pretty girls with red hair, pale skin and freckles are hot. Ok, I LOVE the southern accent, like a southern belle really appeals to me. Someone told me to go to Savannah, Georgia one day to find one, maybe I will haha. Glasses can be pretty cute. Voluptuous is hot too. Long hair. Feminine girly girl. Girls that are into "geeky" things is super awesome too! A girl who can make me laugh. But like I said, in saying all this, I like all girls, and these features are only superficial features that aren't even overly important if the girl is cool.
Gonna bump this because you're my favorite RPM-er and you're online
What was your favorite episode to film?
I really like filming episode 20 'Heroes Within', because in that episode my character got to be developed further, he learns lessons and I got to show a different side of Gem that people including myself didn't see before, or even much of after too. And getting all psyched up after getting the Medal of Valor was super fun haha, they had to edit out some of my victory dance after just getting the medal cause it was longer and crazy haha. I remember Rosie not being able to keep a straight face lol.
Yo Mike, how's life treating you in LA? Any new projects?
Yo! Life in LA is good man, been here a year now and still and probably always lovin my new home.
Lol you're baiting me, but I was already gonna tell you guys about the new project after I was done with answering questions anyway lol.
So just to let y'all in a bit of a teaser, I just finished working on Eddie Guzelian's new feature film project which has just finished shooting where he has cast over half the RPM cast members! The film is not Power Rangers related, and I don't know how much more I can say so I better not say anything else lol, but it sure will be something Power Ranger fans should be really excited about. Sorry no dates on when it comes out!
Well thanks for the questions again guys!
Much love to you all!

Hi Mike, I was wondering, if you could choose an animal spirit for Gem what would it be? I am planning on asking all Ranger people I can, already asked the DiFilippo Triplets(who were Trey).
