Eddie was pretty straightforward Disney had wanted Chip back on staff permanently after his turn as Ally Mondera in JF, so I'm not surprised. With Eddie gone and Jackie already gone, John was in no position to take over as showrunner when they had half a season left to story edit.

Talked with Tony Oliver today. He said he will be attending the event even though he's not on the website (but I assume he will be soon). He also says that he was told the event will be in August and that the staff is still choosing amongst a few different hotels.

He also says that PMC2 will NOT be at the Wilshire again.

Maureen spent well over a year trying to get him to pony it up. His response was "if I never sell it myself, the three banners you have will be worth more." He's taken to telling people who wrote him on Myspace that he was justified in it, because he was to embarrassed to ask the MMPR actors for their autographs and because he felt he wasn't reimbursed sufficiently for his efforts.

Because not accepting the fee you'd agreed upon ahead of time at a convention being held for charity is super classy.

No, Haim's efforts to buy back the franchise started over fourteen months ago. We locked her at the time in the midst of all that. This is purely a scheduling problem, as she noted may happen last year due to her extensive touring and philanthropic work.

Thank you, Peter. It's wonderful when prospective guests announce their eagerness to attend. Until legal issues and various other matters are hammered out regarding attendance, there's no ability to trade on "so and so is now a guest." Otherwise people just get disappointment, as with David Yost. David wasn't upset with his name used on the byline for promotions provided there were maybes involved in those materials. That is... Not typically how a convention announcing a guest is run, and since then PMC Inc. has endeavored to run things a lot tighter than that. PMC is and will always be an intimate experience compared to "real" conventions for "real" fandoms. That doesn't mean we don't want it all done professionally.

I seem to recall the official PMC site, before it had its overhaul, mentioned KRDK people would be there at some level.


The only way Kamen Rider is close to Power Rangers is that they're both adapted from Japan (Sentai and Toku). Other than that (and of course the Wang Bros. working on, "The Rescue Mission"); they really have nothing in common.

They're both made from series made by Toei. They're both American adapations. They have more in common than any other shows on TV. People from other Saban shows have also been invited to appear (VR Troopers, Masked Rider, Beetleborgs), and we've never made the convention's AmeriToku friendly aspects a question, I'd thought.

I mean, it's cool that they're coming, and it's nice to know that you guys are inviting the other Saban actors, but that appears to be a change in policy that we fans weren't aware of. I can assure you we announced them as much as they've been announced now (which is, not especially officially to the point of "so and so is going"). It was on the front page for a bit. I know because that was back when I had control of the site and did the updated myself.
