Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, a live-action series featuring CGI special effects, follows the adventures of a teen discovers a mysterious deck of cards that give him the power to transform into an ancient warrior called a Kamen Rider. This show looks awesome. I've just seen the pilot and I hope it's a lot better, but then again what do you expect from a pilot. It's something new and fresh and i'm glad Disney aren't doing it other wise it would have been rubish. I wonder how many series of actual Kamen Rider it covers or is it all english footage and not Japanese like they do in Power Rangers.

I've just checked the official Kamen Rider - Dragon Knight website and it states that the show is going to be a worldwide broadcast in 2009 can't wait, I hope it's early and not late

I had a holy crud moment after the first 6 minutes of it. I'll watch section 2 and 3 over the next few days. As for the first one I'm impressed so far considering I've never even seen the last US attempt during the Saban days. I'm possibly going to watch this on CW in a few weeks. I'll want to finish this first however. This was not what I expected for a new series let alone a new US project. This totally threw me. I was a bit short on time today due to a new Ranger episode that was subbed. But so far I'm liking it. If there was ever a time to get interested in Dragon Knight or any of them this is good as any. I'll see how the US does with this one.

This will take a lot of getting used to but I'm liking it so far. I'll be watching both Rangers versions AND this starting next year so in 2009 I'll have three shows to watch. One online , this one on CW and Power Rangers on ABC. I hope they schedual Dragon Knight at 10:00 AM CST so it doesn't run over RPM because I want to see both of them. If 2009 goes well my Saturdays will be packed to the rafters.

I'v just been watching some old Kamen Rider Henshins on youtube, i've only just watching Kamen Rider through Kiva and not any others. I thought Dragon Knight was complete English and not based from anything from Japan but then I watched Kamen Rider Ryuki Henshin and lo and behold Dragon Knight is based on that. I though we were going to get a full english superhero for once with using footage from Japan.

As for the show getting a movie, if the show goes well...they would get a movie. If the movie did go successful, then we would get another adapted Kamen Rider series....most likely 555/Faiz would come after that but there was a rumor it might be Blade that would be adapted next after if Dragon Knight is succesful.

I can accept it's the future. I can accept dueling evolving. What I just can't accept is the dueslists specifically riding motorcycles AND dueling at the same time. What's next? Dueling while you're sky diving? Dueling while you're bungee jumping? Dueling while you're both already playing a Dance Dance Revolution style arcade machine?!

EDIT: Besides, it's clear they're stealing elements from Kamen Rider Ryuki by taking that direction.

yea, the show's been in the works for a while. the original trailer/ pilot episode aired more than a year ago. then they changed the main actor, so it got sent back a bit. hopefully this February is when we finally get to see an American take on Kamen Rider

after watching that video, my favorite part was not when they announced an earlier air date or the preview date, but rather when it just said:
"Pick a card..."
but yea, I can't wait. hopefully Dragon Knight will do well enough that it will warrant other adaptations of Kamen Rider series

geez, they really made most of the riders all have the same kinda look. but why re they trying to make taiga and impaler brothers? I do like the names though. some are actions, some are weapons. at least the 3 "verb" riders (Sting, Thrust, and Strike) have the monsters that combine. at least they're trying to connect things. looks like it's gonna be promising.

I've also been watching the trailer again and are they really going to just say Kamen Rider in order to morph cause if thats the case then it'll be pretty dull why don't they just keep the morph call as TRANSFORM cause it's coming from Toei anyway and that call is better, in my opinion anyway

^^^ They already produced all the episodes. It has been about a year since the show first went into plaining sages. Has for other Kamen Rider series, no one in the fandom knows yet. Unless they promised not to tell the rest of us yet.

They are possibly spliting the series into parts. Like how some hour long shows have a winter and summer part of each season. Also note how the episodes fall right into the next one. They could be doing a dragon ball z thing. Spliting it into 2-4 sagas. Making each saga a different main part of the over all story. Then there's the possiblity they just didn't want to release too much about the episodes yet.

First off, the theme song is ****ing sick. Not that much lyrics but who needs them with that rock music.

They did improve on alot of things from what was in the pilot, I know people will ***** and moan over the fact that they still sound crappy in their helmets but they did that for a reason.

Overall I give it 10/10. Soild First episode.

I saw Episode 1 this morning. This is my first ever Rider episode. With the extra hour before 11:00 AM I'll be watching both this and Race Performance Machines. Dragon Knight hit a home run on the word go. not bad as this is the first time watching any Riders (US or Toku) The card thing mde me think of Yu Gi Oh for some reason.

I've just watched the first 6 minutes of dk the first fight with Wing Knight was good the special effects aren't that bad, it's also nice to see they kept the card voice in from Ryuki, english dubbed obviosuly though. The opening theme kinda sucks it looks like a fan opening or something i know it's not power rangers and all but com-on adneess if your gonna keep the name at least keep the op good. I still also wish they'd say TRANSFORM instead of KAMEN RIDER, new bikes look good to

Finally saw it! Compared to the pilot, which was utterly disappointing (not to a high degree however), this was a great improvement! It had it's flaws, like most shows do in it's premiere, but it was enjoyable.

So far, Kit isn't my favorite character. He just seems so amateur and childish. Need I have to mention what a total idiot he was in his Blank Form? BUT, I have feeling as the show progresses, he'll mature both physically and mentally.

Len is pure bad***. Matt Mullins skills as a martial artist are beyond meaning. I'm looking forward to what this character has in store for us later on in the series.

Maya...she's alright. Nothing really special at the moment.

As far the acting goes...it's between pretty much on a level of Power Rangers, to a more better degree. That's just my opinion.

All in all, at this rate, KRDK could potentially be a hit in the American Toku genre. Could it reach the level and "success" that Power Rangers once had...who knows. Only time can tell.

One of the great things about KRDK is that they could see the whole Ryuki series at once before starting their own show. If they chose to do Decade next year, then they would suffer from the same problems as Power Rangers. Not know what's coming up next and just having to wing it all the time.

I'd rather them just go ahead and adapt Faiz next. The suits and tech could be fun to utilize and it just makes sense to keep their options wide open.
