You know how All Riders vs Dai-Shocker featured the debut of Kamen Rider Double before the start of his own series? Then, the Goseigers made their debut in Shinkenger vs Go-onger before their series began. Now, Os will be making his first appearance in the new KR Double movie. Is it just me or does it seem like ever since All Riders, Toei has been doing this new thing for Kamen Rider and Super Sentai by having Early Bird Cameos (see TV Tropes) in their movies and team-up specials respectivly? What if Goseiger vs Shinkenger featured the Early Bird Cameo debut of the Goseiger's successors?

Looks that way.

I don't really understand; are you complaining about this new trend or just noting that it seems to be continuing? I like it personally, we get to see the new hero(es) in action besides 30 second promos and pictures. It's nice.

I think he was just noting the pattern. My previous reply was answering the question posed in the thread title.

Yeah, he was just noting the trend. I hope the trend continues, so both series don't have to end up as a franchise war of sorts.

I like introducing the heroes early if it makes sense to the story. The Goseigers didn't belong in the Shinkenger/Go-Onger movie, it seemed very forced

I dislike the inclusion of a new rider (or the next series rider) into the current riders span because it indicates a lot of negative associations. The first one would be is that the current rider would be downplayed in the area of strength and his inability to be able to do something for himself. Teamwork is awesome, if that is what it is but the problem with cameo roles, it is never that anymore. It is like saying "I am here. You are not needed.", which is wrong because instead of showcasing the abilities and talents of a certain rider or present main character, you are, then, diminishing that factor with the introduction of the new character.
Why did it seem to work for the Decade movie, because it was unexpected. They have not included other riders from other shows in a long long time. Some would count Climax Deka and Ryuuki Hyperbattle Video (or what ever the heck it was) do not really count because it would seem their appearances are non cannon and to judge otherwise brings in too much speculation and other externalities into it.
Decade was also a special show because that was a little bit of the plot, the reason why it should not work the same for the current show is because most Heisei rider shows, the riders or other side riders in some form or another die or something, because they are not in the same world with maybe the exception of Kuuga and Agito, but even then there are too many differences to note.
Another way of stating it is that the Heisei era shows are entities upon themselves, this is just speculation on my part, but perhaps this current setup made it hard to include a basis of continuity that the Showa era had (or seemingly had) and by placing the new rider in the previous's title movie may help to reinforce that these new set of riders exist within the same credentials and boundaries, which would ultimately help in the future if they produce a show like Decade again or want to make the Rider movies like they were with Riders showing up like it was nothing...because of the establishment of a common big enemy....

I agree with Hears All about the Goseigers in the Shinkenger/Go-Ongers movie...

Hey, guys, I have a question:
Do you think that since Os first appeared in Double Forever out of suit before transforming to fight the Luna Dopant, maybe during Goseiger vs Shinkenger, when the Goseiger's successors first appear, they will be out of suit and then transform into their Ranger forms? Just a guess, since in both All Riders vs Dai-Shocker and Shinkenger vs Go-onger, Double and the Goseigers only appeared in suit throughout their entire cameo scenes.

Is there a clip of Ozu in civilian form in the movie? Because I was under the impression it would just be the suit actor, as it has been before. If they start showing the civilian identities of the heroes before the premier episode, it's a little much.

I too like the early bird cameos, especially when it comes to KR. It shows that Toei now wants to keep the series connected like in the old days.

Or maybe they got tired of people speculating the whole Kuuga and Agito same world thing, and decided to finally give the fans a one up and make Ozu, a sequel to Double.
But, I thought Double was a sequel to Decade...at least that is how it appeared in the Movie Taisen and in All Riders...hmm...

Double is linked to Decade like Lightspeed Rescue is to Lost Galaxy. Same universe (the world Decade is in in his final movie seems to be World of Double, anyway) but completely separate apart from the crossovers.

Decade and Double aren't in the same "universe" as Decade really has no universe. He travels through the worlds. In the movies, he goes to (presumably) Double's world/universe. But they're stories, persay, don't occur in the same universe.
