What did you think of the season premiere?

They kind of made it blatantly obvious who was going to be which Ranger... while I liked Casey standing up, I was kind of sick of the newbie become red idea... I didn't like Theo right off the bat... Lily was kind of like a weird hybrid of Kat Hillard and Ronny to me...

I thought it was rushed. Also, the way they portrayed Theo and Lily was contradictory. The first scene we see Lily being slightly pushy because she doesn't know whats going on. Then a few minutes later in a different scene Theo asks whats going on and Lily criticizes him saying "why do you always have to know what's going on". Probably didn't bother anybody else, but it was just weird to me how Lily's first line in the series was "Theo whats going on" and 2 seconds later she b*tches at him for asking the same thing.

The season premiere of the PRJF it as pretty cool, compared with the others past years of the Kalish seasons,i liked of the fights in the start when we see Master Mao,Lily,Theo and Jarrod,when they tree use there animals spirits it as cool,i liked when Casey defends the kid and stops Jarrod,Master Mao fight vs Jarrod it as cool,in the Dai Shi temple when him summon is rinshis are cool,RJ help the rangers and give the morphers it as funny,and the rangers morphing it as cool,when Casey morphs and save Fran,and when Theo teachs Casey it as cool,and the debut of Jungle Pride Megazord it as awesome,really cool Megazord

I just went through watching JF the 2nd time last week. I had it listed as great but now I got it listed as good. As stated before many times, I don't hate any seasons...I like them all.

Jungle Fury was great at first but now after watching it the 2nd time, its good but still great in some episodes. A pretty good storyline. There sure have been alot of more villain focus...mostly because Gekiranger was like that too.

I as re-watching JF too, and it as cool season,and i dont hate any seasons i liked them to all,because any season have good points and bad points,JF have a awesome things is focus really in the villans because Geki do that too,but i think they made soem good develoments with the rangers.

I enjoyed this season from the start. I find it really cool uniforms. And I loved it right from the beginning RJ and Fran. The only detail that bothered me is their outfits ranger that I do not appreciate too much

For the first full season I watched in a number of years, the first episode was good, not great.

-As mentioned by others, parts were good, parts were rushed, and some parts were just weird looking (see the roar scene). I felt the cut between the first two episodes was pretty shoddy. Seriously, we have Casey being held back from helping Fran at the end of part one, and not 10 seconds into part 2 he morphs for the first time and saves her. Very anticlimactic.

-I thought RJ was awesome. And Fran, despite my feelings that she was unnecessary comic relief at first, in hindsight was actually not a bad addition either. Master Mao brought nothing to me except exposition, really.

-Holly. Shanahan. Too bad Bede Skinner hammed up Jarrod a little too much, otherwise I would be all thumbs up for the villains.

I too am a huge fan of Jungle Fury. I thought it was awesome. I especially loved 'Danced the Night Away'. My favorite ranger was Casey, he reminded me of Jan (gekired), those two had alot in common. I have both volumes of this season. I manage to find season 2 at a local Target. There was only one left, it's a good thing I got it before someone else did. Anyway the morphing sequence was different but the zord summoning was the same as Gekirangers. All in all it was a great season, well in my opinion anyway. :)

What did you think of the core three?

Casey was a fairly new member to the Pai Zhuq Academy and hence known as a cub. He has the power to stand up for what he believes in and for others. He doesn't like him or any other people to get pick on. When Casey stood up one day for a fellow cub who is being verbally abused by Jarrod, Master Mao dismissed Jarrod. Master Mao saw the potential that Casey had in him and chose him instead of Jarrod, to guard Dai Shi, but after Master Mao was destroyed.

Lily is a laid-back risk taker, and can be extremely stubborn sometimes, so she can get her way. With the speed of the cheetah, and the quick reflexes, she never wants to stand still, and she doesn't like meditation. Before joining the Pai Zhuq Kung Fu academy, Lily was the captain of the Cheer Squad at her High School. She brought home gold by incorporating her street dance into her school performances. After her final test, Lily was chosen by Master Mao, to become a guardian of Dai Shi.

Theo is a confident, bossy and straight laced conservative who always want to be in charge. Theo takes what he does very seriously and is a very skillful fighter. Master Mao saw his potential along with his excellent fighting skills, and chose him to be a new guardian of Dai Shi.

The core of Three it as really cool reminds like happens in NS and DT they start with core of 3 rangers.

Casey, didn't know what he was getting himself into at first. But dove into being a leader head on. Even though he was a bit cocky, hot headed and over confident. He still kept it together to lead the team.

Lily, kind and caring. But keeps focused when it comes to battles. She makes sure to keep Theo and Casey in line. Especially in 'dance the night away' when the two of them were arguing and Lily had to set things straight between them. She's been friends with Theo long before they met Casey. But now she's really good friends with him (Casey) as well.

Theo, a boy who likes to do things more than once. A mutli tasker if you will. He has a calm zen like attitude. But sometimes loses it when he argues with Casey sometimes. He does indeed takes things very seriously. But he sometimes things don't always go his way. ('can't win them all')

Lily is my favorite. Theo is ok. Don't love it but don't hate it. Same For Casey (even if for me he is the worst red ranger.It Would have been better given him another color).

The Season Premiere was pretty good. The first episode seemed a tad rush but still enjoyable. There was still room for slight character introductions. The first brief encouter with Master Mao and Dai Shi was awesome. The environment design used for that room was beautiful. I wasn't a fan of the "towel boy" becoming the "leader of the team" plot. I'm sure there could've been a better way to introduce the Casey character. Overall, the two-parter was enjoyable and left plenty of room for character development and training.

PRJF was my favorite Bruce Kalish season. *ducks for cover* I always enjoyed the "martial arts" seasons in PR (Ninjas, Kung Fu, and the upcoming Samurai). The sentai counterparts for Gekiranger and Shinkenger made the seasons great with the great value of constant training and development.

PRJF had a great combination of Sentai and non-Sentai footage, Cg for transformation sequences, music compositions for battle and zord fights, and good overall storyline. Most of the cast was pretty good, especially the Jason Smith (Casey), Anna Hutchison (Lily), David de Lautour (R.J.), and Sarah Thomson (Fran). Bede Skinner and Holly Shanahan did a fine job in their roles of the PRJF villains. There were several filler episodes in this season but it was an overall great plot. I also loved the Spirit Rangers....definitely a beautiful addition to the show.

JF is my favorite of the Kalish Era in PR,the morphing sequence it as pretty good,the cast is great for shore,Bede and Holly made a really awesome job as villans in JF,Dai Shi si awesome, and Camille too,the spirits rangers is really cool but it as sad dont use sow much in JF.

Jungle Fury was an improvement the previous two seasons. Could've been better though - thanks a lot, writer's strike.

The core three? Not as good as the later additions or even the villains in my opinion...

Casey- In my opinion, Casey indeed whined a little too much throughout the series, but in the beginning that was natural since he was thrust into the role of leader when he clearly wasn't ready yet. As the season went on, he seemed to learn... yet he relied mainly on instinct, which is not necessarily the best plan. Since this is PR, it obviously paid off, but overall Casey was weak as a leader. That being said, he was not a bad CHARACTER. He was personally my favorite of the core three.

Theo- Ugh. No offense to Aljin, who is a better actor than I will ever be, but looking back this character should have been a brainy (sometimes to the point of annoying) character with a heart of gold and a Justin-esque morph (i.e. growing bigger when morphing to fit the suit actor). Okay, I'm just kidding on that last one, but still, that's what his character first looked like it should have come across at. Instead, Theo was a brainy character whose conceited and condescending attitude early on made me immediately not care for him. While his character certainly developed, you could still get that feeling that Theo always thought he was better and more suited to be leader than Casey. Maybe he was, but his response was not ideal for the team at times. I'm not a fan.

Lily- Wasted potential all over. Being the only girl on the team throughout the season, there were many opportunities for Lily to develop in different ways. Any development she had seemed to be trivial and didn't really affect her character overall in the series. The only exception was her relationship with Theo, but that's just the typical romance that one can find in a PR series. Her character was sweet and enjoyable, but there was room for SO much more...

The season premiere was so great and it felt like PR was finally going back to it's good old self. And it did.

Is that just the two main villains and the Rinshi? Quite good, IMHO. Yes, I've mentioned that Bede Skinner overacts at some times, but hey, this was the first season in a while where the main villain was primarily human, so the translation must have been awkward. I thought he was solid on average. Holly Shanahan has also been discussed by me already :-P. Excellent job by her. The Rinshi were not bad footsoldiers, but the hopping was a little ridiculous.

What did you think of the Dai Shi Clan?

Dai Shi believed that animals should rule the planet, and humans were to be erased. Over 10,000 years ago, brave warriors channeled their Animal Spirits, and after the Beast War, they were able to imprison Dai Shi. The Pai Zhuq was formed to serve as protectors of him. Presently, Dai Shi accidently escaped and returned to his palace where he began to command his assisstant Camille and his army of the undead. Dai Shi lives off fear and the more humanity grows scared, he becomes stronger. With the help of the Five Fingers of Poison, people's fear increased and he was able to morph into an armored Lion form using Jarrod's Lion spirit. Dai Shi doesn't care if Camille gets destroyed just as long as he made progress in her mission. He sees everyone of his warriors as just a tool he can use to succeed in his mission and they don't mean anything to him,i really liked whe he becames the Phatom Beast King.

Camille emerged from a wall, where she waited for his return. She has the ability to blend into anything in order to hide or sneak up on anyone at any time. She is unabashedly loyal to her master and assists at collecting fear and will do anything to help defeat the Power Rangers. With the spirit of the Chameleon, she can change into a warrior form. Like Dai Shi, she commands the Rinshi and can give them more power when she wants. She uses her lengthy tongue to whip or constrict people in her way. Even though Dai Shi trusts her very much, he never thanks her and considers her expendable.

Carnisoar took Jarrod into the past to eliminate every good deed that he did, making him much more evil. Carnisoar is a Hawk spirit master. Camille is not fond of Carnisoar's brutal teaching methods and Carinsoar doesn't think much of Camille. After Jellica is revived and Jarrod manages to best Jellica according to her plans, Carnisoar leaves the rest to her as he flies off. He returns to power the two Shadow Guards to prove Dai Shi as an agent of evil.

Jellica the Sea Overlord from Lily when she visited the Jungle Karma Pizza resturant in disguise after being kicked out by Carinsoar. Camille planned Jellica, a Jellyfish spirit master, to be Dai Shi's master, but instead she wanted to trained Camille. When an enemy tries to attack Jellica, she can have them pass right through her,After she personally defeated the Jungle Pride Megazord, she orders Camille to take down Lily, but when Camille refused to, Jarrod takes on Jellica in a brief scuffle. Jellica then reveals this was her plan all along, by mentoring Camile was to see if Dai Shi really did desire her power.

Grizzaka The two Overloads thought they needed to call for more power and Dai Shi was immediately against it. Carinsoar gave Camille the last life talon to revive him from the Cave of Darkness and she merely tossed it in to revive him. He is the holder of the Bear Spirit and the Zocato power, which he can make his followers grow. Grizzaka blames Dai Shi for loosing the Great Beast War and detests human because they are weak and because Dai Shi is now human, it makes matters worse.

Scorch The leader of the Phantom Beast General, he holds the spirit of the Avalon Dragon,He is loyal to Dai Shi, but not to Jarrod and offered to make him the Phantom Beast King.

Snapper A Phantom Beast General that holds the spirit of the Snapping Turtle and is Scorch's faithful partner. He helped in capturing three Masters and making them into Spirit Rangers. He considered Camille not worthy of being a General.

Whiger A Phantom Beast General that holds the spirit of the White Tiger and Dai Shi convinced him to steal Casey's Tiger Spirit. He was defeated by Casey and disgraced because he was unable to defeat him. In a controversial move, Dai Shi stripped him of his Rinzin.

Flit is an anthropomorphic fly warrior that was once human. Long ago, Camille defeated by cursing him as a fly and swallowed. He lives inside of Camille and occasionally escapes to provide commentary during Zord battles.

Rinshi are the Dai Shi's army of fear that he revived. They wield lances and do all his dirty work for him.

The Dai Shi clan is pretty cool...

Until the finale, because she'd fallen in love the man Dai Shi was controlling. When Dai Shi and Jarrod seperated, Camille sided with Jarrod, and thus defected to the rangers (as seen in the ending when she joins the academy with Jarrod).

Yh,Camille is really loyal to is Master,and the Overlords are cool but they start ploting when Grizzaka returns,because in the starts Cornisoar and Jellica wants Grizzaka teach to Dai Shi the secrets of Zokato,and more later when Grizzaka wants the Phatom Beasts help they turn aganst Jellica and destroy her,because i dont believe the Phantom Beasts will be join forces with the Overlords.

Camille was ok.. and so was Dai Shi/Jarrod. The Overlords were alright too.. except Jellica. She annoyed the hell out of me. The Phantom Beasts were cool though.

Gave me a headache whenever I saw them. Their chemistry was awful and they not interesting, at all.

Worst villain faction.

Why was Dai Shi considered so powerful if he was constantly trying to find ways to make himself stronger than the Rangers? It made me think of someone who was weak and needed to become the Overlords b*tch to get what he wanted. I also thought Camille was below average.

The inherent concept of the season is interesting ("an epic war for the evolutionary future of the planet thousands of years ago played out by multiple factions all of whom tap into the same ambivalent totem spirits and go to the same afterlife to carouse and war for all eternity!"), and... the characters suck. Thankfully, the show aims sufficiently low enough that this inherently strong backstory conveys. The Spirit Rangers are a waste due to the WGA strike. Dom is useless and irrelevant. Dai Shi as an "evil student" rediscovering his power as he slowly hollows out Jarrod more and more is simply not conveyed, so our main villain consistently looks like a rookie ponce...

RJ is great. The Masters are solid characters. The Spirits are an inherently strong idea (especially that the Masters can PROJECT THEM ASTRALLY while still themselves active in battle). Fran is fun and quirky. The core team are useless and whiny. The Overlords accomplish nothing. The Phantom Beasts are actually kind of cool conceptually since they are an ENTIRE FACTION UNTO THEMSELVES, but they fall in line with Dai Shi far too quickly and for wafer-thin motives. I agree with Mesh, and I've argued it for two years: this is the best Kalish season. It aims ridiculously low and succeeds. It's the Kalish Wild Force. It has no real scope or ambition. Indeed, I'm impressed by a finale which went out of its way to tie off ANYTHING that could even CONCEIVABLY be construed as a loose end. This was a Jackie who KNEW she wasn't getting a teamup in RPM.

Start with the story arc of the Finger of Poison it are cool.

The Overlords are cool at soem point in JF,i think they made Dai Shi looks more a Koragg when goes to battle aganst the rangers to prove is evilness.

Phantom Beasts are awesome the storyarc of them i liked starts with Grizzaka have the plan of bring them back to help them,but they return and destroy Jellica and want to made Dai Shi the Phantom Beast King it as cool that plot in special when Scorch and Snapper wants to protect Dai Shi of Jarrod humam side and try to destroy Camille i think really cool Scorch for some moments tries to possible Overthrow Jarrod.

I learned from this "arc" that the most potemt poison is the kind that give you the sniffles. And I just realized why everybody went for Naja in the JF Monsters Showdown, he's the only villain to realize that Dai Shi was a moron who didn't know what he was doing.

I actually only saw apart of the premeir of JF, it didnt make me interested a bit. However when they got into Jarrod's backstory and he was erasing his past good deeds, then it became interesting.

The Finger of Posion are cool villans and the first arc we see for Dai Shi have The Power of the Lion Armor,and i liked of each Poison goes alone fight the rangersmit as awesome.

Naja it as cool i liked to see him overthrow Dai Shi when he brings back others to Poisons,and i liked the battle between Camille and Naja it as cool and when Naja try to put Camille aganst Dai Shi and Camille take from him the Life Talons,for bring back the Overlords,but like i think even with Fingers of Poison i think maybe Dai Shi it as planning to bring back the Overlords.

I thought the Five Poisons were ridiculous, yet entertaining.

The idea of Carnisoar erase Jarrod deeds are good,because Jarrod are inside of Dai Shi darkeness that is the reason for Carnisoar erase Jarrod good deeds,with MasterOrg that possible work but i think when Dr.Adler eats the MasterOrg seeds the transformation it as fast but when Dr.Adler LOSE IS POWERS of MasterOrg and the true Horn grow he becames the real MasterOrg,in the case of Mesegog,when Anton became weaker Mesegog became much powerfull.

I thought RJ was great. The actor who played him made an appearance in What I like about You. It's a show that's mostly seen on Teen Nick now. Anyway, his wolf zord was awesome. From what I can tell SPD is one of the more beloved Disney seasons along Dino Thunder and RPM, and peoples only real problem with it is is the Omega Ranger storyline or something. Jungle Fury sounds like one of those low key seasons that isn't anyones favorite but isn't a season most people don't hate either. The lightspeed of the Disney era.

Exactly. MF is The Nick Show, and Overdrive is just disjointed, definitely my least favourite season. JF and RPM were both big improvements over their immediate predecessor. And you're right, I'm no fan of Omega being a ball of light, but SPD is still miles ahead of the following two seasons.

I liked much of the Plot of the of the Crystal Eyes is really cool the plot and it as sad they dont use such kind a plot for a team up between JF and OO because the ideia of the Crystal Eyes is really good for even for example Jellica finds the Crystal of Kamdor put Miratrix.

I think the final test for the rangers could better in my opinion because in NS they became Masters when defeated Lothor,i think in JF could made in some way.

Casey saving Jarrod it as awesome the battle it as awesome Casey goes alone to Dai Shi temple and battles Dai Shi and we see the battle of the old style of the MMPR,see Jarrod and Camille fight along side of the rangers it as cool for shore and the Stampede formation with Jungle Pride and Lion and Chameleon Beasts.

Well i think the finale of JF it as cool,but i think some finale like that could be at least 3 Parts or myabe too because in the first will be the rangers fight the Beast Army and in the second battle Dai Shi, i as really expecting Dai Shi posses Scorch.

The Battles between the rangers and Scorch is awesome it as very cool see them fight all together aganst him.
Dai Shi summon is Beast Army,Fingers of Poison,Overlords and Phantom Beasts Generals and Warrior it as cool and in the side of the JF rangers All 8 rangers with Masters battle them it as cool.

Masters Come of the Spirit World and finish with all Beasts,the final battle aganst Dai Shi could be much better someone like him it as defeated sow easy.

I just finished watching Jungle Fury. At first, I just kinda thought, "eh...well...it's OK...I guess." But that was because I had just finished watching RPM, which, as we all know, was an all-out morphenomenal season. I have to say though, that by the fifth episode or so, I began to get really really attached to the entire team and before I knew it, bam, PRJF has made it into my list of top favorite seasons! :)

Thats for shore JF is the Best of Kalish Era,well the ideia of Dai Shi/Jarrod could be much better for shore because sometimes we could see more Jarrod and not Dai Shi but i think in my opinion i notace is always Dai SDhi is always in the control of the Jarrod spirit,the power strongle between Jarrod and Dai Shi is well made but i think they could made like happens between Mesegog/Anton Mercer because in the case of the DT,they control between both it as really well written the confront of Minds,when Anton loses the control to Mesegog,Anton becames more weak and Mesegog became even more stronger,in the case of Dai Shi/Jarrod they made that in the final episodes when Jarrod spirit starts to make Dai Shi lose the control of is vessel and even they give us the ideia of Scorch is plot aganst Dai Shi but they never use that ideia,and i as really expect Dai Shi posses Scorch in the final of the Episode "Path of the Righteous" will be a Awesome twist.

I thought the Five Poisons were ridiculous, yet entertaining.

The aforementioned "sniffles" poison. Toady. "Dancing the Night Away." Oh God, "Dancing the Night Away."

That being said, "Can't Win Them All" and the Naja plot were pretty good, and as mentioned before, the episodes were good despite being ridiculous at times.

I also hate the fact that they have no human form, why not just make the Masters the rangers? It can't be because of money because with the exception of 1 episode the Masters already appeared in every episode the spirit rangers did so they could have easily made them back up rangers that only showed up rarely.

Why wasn't Fran working at the restaurant from the start? It was stupid to make her this loser fan that always eats there only to make her an employee an episode later. Are we to believe RJ did everything by himself?

I wish we had seen the animal forms of the other masters more besides the quick cameo.

Well for shore the Spirit rangers have connection with Morphing Grid, and i dont like of the ideia of them dotn have humam form, because we see Phantom Beasts use the Masters for created them, and the Masters have the Powers and could Morph and Spirit ranger because will be really cool to see that happen, because the ideia of them by summon by the rangers like they summon the Other Zords is not sow good.

Jungle Fury is probably my third least favourite season. It was so far from Gekiranger's storyline that it made me sick. Camille (or whatever her name was) was probably my favourite. I couldn't stand RJ, Casey or Dominic. It would have been cool to see Fran do a Boom-type thing like in SPD. You know, appear as a makeshift Ranger. The Megazord's name was stupid, I mean "Jungle Pride"? Come on?! And they didn't change the name when other zords combined it. They just said "Jungle Pride with elephant power!". It would've been better if it was "Elephant Pride Megazord", you know? It was so rushed. The series definitely deserves a 3/10.

I haven't watch the Gekiranger but if that is the fact about JF I don't care I will be always a JF fan. pride Megazord I think it means the Spirit pride of the beholder of the animal spirit

Well i dont care much about the name of the Megazord but i think it fits in the Megazord, like Jungle Pride and Jungle Master Megazords, well Kalish tries to follow much the plot of Geki put the Spirit rangers are true American footage and i think they could keep the Battlyzer for Casey and even keep the Spirit rangers too.

Ooh I get it.. Thats awesome... I didn't think of that... and Do Casey Have any Battlyzer? Cause As I watch it. Im now in episode 23 ahhaha 9 episode to go. But there is no signs of Caseys Battylizer? maybe the Master mode is the only upgrade form they have.. Sad to know

The Strike Rider could be the Battlyzer then Casey merge with Whiger spirit to The White Tiger and created the Battlyzer because i think the Perfect episode for Casey have the Battlyzer will be "The Spirit of Kindness"

I found myself falling asleep watching the first 3 episodes but I really enjoyed episode 4, "A Taste Of Poison". Lily and one of the 5 Fingers of Poison had one of the best morphed fight scenes I've seen in YEARS. Something interesting was that it seems like all 3 rangers have crushes on each other...

I admit it too those 3 episode was a little bit lame for me. its very pretty obvious who are the rangers and who is the villain and the story is very fast and I'm curios where did RJ get those morpher shades just easily give them to the three.... but after that its been an interesting to watch so far. and still strong.
