Instead of 6 season serial with Lost Galaxy starting the sentai tradition of new story every year, how do you think the show would have been like if they did the Sentai thing from the begiing? My theories/speculation

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers -Would end on Doomsday part 2 the way it was originally written. With Rita and Co being sealed away

Dairanger Adaption- Possible titles Power Rangers Thunder Team. Power Rangers Thunder Strikers. Power Rangers the Next Generation. Rocky,Aisha,Adam would be Rangers from the beginning but Rocky would probably be blue since he doesn't have leadership characteristic with new actors for Red and Pink. Brad Hawkins would play the white ranger (with Jason David Frank starring in Cybertron as originally planned). Alternative Brad Hawkins as the Red Ranger. Johnny Yong Bosh as Green. Karan Ashley as Yellow.Steve Cardenas as Blue. Sarah Brown as Pink and Michael Bacon as Red. (Michael, Brad, and Sarah being actors from VR Troopers) Lord Zedd would still be used. They would possibly avoid using the Dairanger villains since there all humanoids and Saban could possibly be mistaken for racist for having three Japanese villains. The Dairanger footsoldiers would be used and called Ztrons. The final battle would be Giant Lord Zedd versus The ThunderMegazord.

Kakuranger adaption-Called Power Rangers Ninja. Rito would have a different name (since hes not going to be related to Rita) the alien rangers actors would be used but be humans with obviously american names. End with the NinjaRangers sealing MasterVile away.

Ohranger adaption-might not be called Power Rangers ZEO since Zeo supposedly came from Zordon's Odyssey (ZO). Maybe Power Rangers Hyper Force. New cast for the Rangers. keep Ohranger's military theme with the Rangers powers being earth technology. (not unlike Lightspeed Rescue) King Mondo stays dead in Mondo's last stand. Archerina and Gasket are destroyed in Hawiaan Zeo. The rest of the machine empire flees earth.

Power Rangers Turbo- starts with the Turbo2 cast. Lerigot is an ally that stays throughout the show that creates the Turbo powers. Goldgoyle is a Dark Specter like monarch who is the villain behind the Turbo villains instead of just some random powerful monster. Series is campy from beginning to end.

Power Rangers in Space: Christopher Khaymen Lee (Andros) and four other actors as the space rangers. Dark Specter is simply Astronema's master not all the villains of past seasons. Instead of true blue to the rescue the space rangers have a cross over with the Turbo Rangers. Dark Specter gets his powers drains by the Psycho Rangers. Finale is a scale down version of Countdown to Destruction with Astronema's forces attacking earth and K0-35. Andros suceeds in restoring her to Karone.

The show's ratings would've had a serious plunge in the second season, I heard the reason they kept the Zyuranger suits in S2 was because they wanted to keep the familiarity of the show, alot of fans complained when they switched to Zeo and if you'd ask anyone who used to be an MMPR fan they'd say that the first season was the best but it stopped being good when they changed the suits, trust me I heard that a hundred times...

They kept the suits because they knew they had a movie coming since season 1 and wanted to keep things familiar for the movies and ratings went down in season 3 when they were still using the suits

So the MMPR fans wanted the keep the same suits and actors intact for several more seasons? Did they think this is the X-Men or Fantastic Four?

Yes, that is exactly what they thought this was. That was the only thing that they could compare it to. No American show has ever replaced the cast and basically the entire show, every year before. And no other show has ever done it since. Power Rangers is unique on that aspect, and most people thought that fans would instantly stop watching because it was a different show every year.

They don't keep the same suits and cast either... X-Men has often changed its cast since Wolverine joined the team, while the Fantastic Four have changed roster a few times too - the Invisible Woman has been absent on a few occasions, At one point Storm was on the team. And the current storyline, Three, will see one of the FF killed off, which will probably prompt another replacement member. Even one of the cartoons substituted the Human Torch. None of the X-Men cartoons have the exact same roster either.

Yea, but that is not how the public views them. They only know about the "main" Fantastic Four team, and the "main" X-Men team.

Like I said, it came down to a fear of fans leaving because of it becoming a different show every year. Things not turning out that way doesn't change the fact that no other American TV show ever attempted this before(especially not any popular shows) and they didn't want to ruin the show by changing too many things.

The public still has an idea of who the X-Men and Fantastic Four are, they know the core members. The changes are always temporary, and the team will always go back to the main members eventually

True for FF, but not for X-men, whose main members were originally Professor X, Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Iceman and Marvel Girl. Angel is no longer on the team, Beast spends half his time with The Avengers, and Marvel Girl changed codename to Jean Grey. The public don't tend to view the X-Men minus Storm and Wolverine.

The public knows the X-Men as a team made up of Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean, Rouge, and the Professor. What is in comics has no effect on that, as most people have never read the comics.

But anyway, can we move on? We are talking about why MMPR kept the same cast, costumes, and name, not Marvel.

The first team isn't the most popular though. The 90's X-Men from Jim Lee and TAS is. So Storm, Angel, Wolverine, Cyclops, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Jean, Prof. X, Gambit, Rogue and Beast. It really doesn't matter how they divide their time, all these characters are part of the X-Men right now (except Nightcrawler and Jean for obvious reasons) and are in at least one of the X-Men comic books

Angel is on the team BTW, he's in the "X-Men" ongoing. And on the X-Force.
