"What if Rita and Zedd had been a little smarter in "A Zeo Beginnng"?

So I started rewatching Zeo for varying reasons and something in the very first episode jumped out at me as kind of dumb on Rita and Zedd's part. When the Machine Empire invades the Moon, as you all probably know already, Rita and Zedd escape in Serpentera.

They escape in Serpentera, which just happens to be, I don't know, a freaking superweapon! The zord had the power to destroy planets and Rita and Zedd didn't have the good sense to turn it loose on the Machine Empire? It's not like the thing didn't have plenty of fuel it did make it to the M51 Galaxy, they could've taken out the entire Royal House of Gadgetry (if one doesn't count Prince Gasket and Archerina) right then and there! Instead Rita and Zedd board there most powerful weapon, one capable of curbstomping the Rangers and the Machine Empire and flee while the Royal House of Gadgetry watches, mocking them from orbit.

What if they'd used their brains and tore apart the Machine Empire's invasion force with Serpentera? How would this affect future events?

In PRZ in the episode "Good as Gold" Zedd and Rita they will supose to return for by the villan again, but i think Zedd could use Serpenta to fight the Machine Empire in the Start of PRZ.

Yes they could have done exactly that, but the timeline would've been altered right then and there. I'm curious as to what you guys think the long-term effects of the decision to fight the Machine Empire's invasion force with Serpentera would be.

Well but i remember Finster tells Zedd the Serpentera dont have much energy in that moment if the Zedd and Rita decite to face the Machine Empire i think the result possible will be the Serpentera will be destroyed by the Machine Empire fleet.

Personally, I think Serpentera could have done major damage, The Royal House of Gadgetry had quite obivously quite close to the moon in their flagship. Serpentra could have blown that thing away along with the Royal House of Gadgetry, which would send the invading force into disarry, causing them to retreat, knowing they couldn't match that kind of firepower.

Hmm. The fuel is going to be everyones main argument- after all, Serpentera running out of fuel is (Tor aside) the only thing that stopped it destroying the Rangers.

However, I agree. This time, Rita and Zedd weren't on the attack, they were being defensive. Serpentera never needed to leave the ground, they could have just blasted away at the Empire. I bet that with King Mondo gone, the Empire would've fallen pretty easily. Maybe enough for Rita and Zedd to take control of the remaining machines.

So then, Zeo might've gone on as normal, Rita and Zedd sending machine after machine to fight the new Zeo Rangers (they'd still need new powers), perhaps re-recruiting Goldar and Rito earlier. I could see the two of them being given machine enhancements, to bring them in line with the new powers. Gasket would still return, to avenge his family, maybe succeeding, maybe not. Throughout the series, Zedd would be working on Serpentera (maybe that's what Goldar and Rito would be doing, a comedic pair of mechanics?), and by the finale it would be finished, ready for one last battle with the Rangers and Trey.

Whether piloted by Zedd or Gasket, Serpentera would be weakened by machine empire parts (let's assume that helps explain its easy defeat in forever red?) and so would be defeated by the Rangers and Piramidas.

"Rangers of Two Worlds" could still happen- perhaps Finster didn't like being replaced by Machines, so he leaves, returning with his OWN staff, accidentally creating the Purse Monster.

I don't see Rita and Zedd using anything from the Machine empire it's not really their style, they're more mages. However Zeo could still function semi-normally. Rita and Zedd sending monster after monster, I suppose Gasket and Archerina could pick up what was left of the Machine Empire, but it would be subjugated two years later by Dark Spectre, and it took several years for it to be operable again after the Z-wave. We could actually have a "Scorpion Rain"-esque finale to Zeo. Of course that brings up the question of why they couldn't just rebuild the Zeo zords, they built them in the first place, well Billy and Alpha did and Alpha was still around.

Rita and Zedd are notoiously stubborn, I don't think they'd just give up though which brings up the question of what to do about what would be Turbo? I mean Legiot has to show up for PRiS to happen but Rita and Zedd wouldn't like Divatox stepping in on their turf so to speak.

Well the Season Finale of PRZ could by Gasket and Archerina try to starts a New Machine Empire and Gasket and Archerina join forces with Zedd and Rita to destroy the PRZ and with Divatox could join that Alliace Later.

This would essentially make the New Machine Empire a replacement for Divatox, perhaps they go after Lerigot hoping to use his Golden key as a powersource for some superweapon.

I suspect if Zedd and Rita wouldn't of been part of the UAE, they would of blown up the earth and than run to the nearest hidding place. Even that doesn't sound like an good idea to me. No, the best idea was the one they did take. Escape from ME. Hope Rito and Goldar got the zeo crystal. Have Fanster make upgrades to protect Serpentera from Cog Changer and power it with Zeo crystal. Return in Zeo-ed Serpentera and kick mecha ***. Their plan failed however cuz Rito and Goldar failed to escape the explostion with the ZEO crystal and the rest is history.

Gasket could by Loyal to is family but we know Gasket always want to prove to the Empire he is capable to lead the Empire and take of is father King Mondo and i think even if Gasket and Archerina make a Alliance with Zedd and Rita for destroy the Zeo ranger will be interesthing to see that kind of Alliance and even in "Rangers of Two Worlds" Machine Empire and Zedd and Rita join forces to destroy the Power rangers.

There's two directions to take this argument. That UAE policy was if an outside faction was usurping your holdings, fall back and reclaim your properties. In which case, they did the tactically sound thing. The other direction is "if Serpentera's main gun wasn't enough to disable THOUSANDS of skybases, with no real guarantee which the Machine Palace was on, they were left in conquered space with no means of escape and a now even-more hostile invasion force." If magical teleportation had been actually DISABLED by a jamming field, they had one means of escape and it was Serpentera.

If Zedd use the Crystal Zeo to Power up Serpentera with full power for shore Serpera will by capable to destroy the all Machine Empire Fleet.
