This of course is also why Koragg/Wolf Warrior (Wolzard) is missing - Koragg only appeared in civilian form late in the season. There's no reason for Jenji (Smokey) to even be there, even if Daggeron was. Maybe Nick was filming at the time.

I have a feeling Xander's wearing Blue Screen Blue, I;ve been thinking over so may complicated ways it would be that blue till it dawned on me, Green Screen provides much better results than Blue screen, but if you want to film anything a similar Green on a Green screen problems arise so the answer, make a ranger suit in blue screen blue and change it in post production too XD
My guesses are this is the scene near the end, where Red is fully morphed but the others are helmetless, hence why the master is there , that scene will always stick in my head because I loved it so much in Magiranger. :D

While on the Command Center set, the late Thuy Trang gets ready to put on her Yellow Saber-tooth Tiger helmet between camera set ups. Austin Saint John, as the Red Ranger takes his time letting his hair breathe, as Jason David Frank as the Green Ranger is almost ready, only adjusting one of his leather gloves.

This was the first time the Green Ranger was filmed on the set. The golden shield which covers his chest, upper back, and shoulders was not worn, do possibly to an oversight. A re-shoot was done with the complete costume, and the Green Ranger was born!

The gloves in the photos are also different than what made it into the episode: no gold trim, green triangles instead of black. Similarly, the trim on the boots in the top photo is a lot thinner than what we see in the show.

Would they really have shot these scenes before the American costume footage in "Green with Evil", though?

I didn't say that MMPR Green's gloves are "supposed to" have black triangles, but they were indeed either black or very dark green in the American footage. The Dragon Ranger costume always had them in the same color as the spandex, as did the one in PRDT.

Nah, see my post (http://www.rangercrew.com/forum/showthread.php?18769-Rare-behind-the-scenes-photos&p=963413&viewfull=1#post963413) on the previous page. I was skeptical until I saw the one shot that made it into the finished episode. It looks to be from the original unused filming of this scene (http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/5181/greenspitflower.jpg) before everyone realized the Green Ranger was supposed to have a shield. Also note the lack of gold trim on his gloves in the image above.

GrnRngr.com's trading card scans. I'm sure they've been up for years but I have some comments. Also, I flipped them around so you don't have to tilt your head. ;)

The image for the card below was mirror-flipped; apart from the layout you can tell because Walter's left hand is the one that's missing the middle finger. Their wardrobe matches The Beetle Invasion, heck even the stuff on the table matches, but there are two extras missing and Zack is wearing a black shirt and tie for some reason.

Maybe they were planning on ditching the sheild completely, but couldn't, since Zyu and Zyu2 footage of the Green Ranger both featured the sheild and thus, they would need Toei to re-film a lot of footage with the Green Ranger without the sheild.

Ditching the shield would've been a good idea had they kept the Green Ranger past Zyu2, because the shield used in US footage was awful. Had Dairanger used the same colour scheme as Zyuranger (or even Ohranger's colours, which has a black sixth, and don't forget, Dragonzord was black anyway), they likely would've done (they didn't use much Kibaranger footage anyway, mainly the same cockpit and zord summoning footage used every episode). But the fact Tigerzord was white meant they had to use Kibaranger.

The weirdest part is that the shield they did end up making for The Spit Flower wasn't even used for other episodes. It was shaped more like a V per the original, whereas the one in GWE and other episodes was sort of U-shaped except for the diamond on the front. I think there were at least two different variations of that one as well.

These are amazing! Never thought something like that would surface.

I just noticed that a German eBay user "kasprowy86" sold a bunch of 35mm photo slides a few weeks back. These slides are much higher quality than magazine prints, and some I haven't seen elsewhere. The images used in the eBay auction can't substitute for the real thing but hopefully someone saves any of the eBay images that are rare since they deletes them quickly after the auctions end. I wonder if a forum member bought any of them.
