Q&A:

Q: How did you hear about the audition?
A: My agent called me and asked me to audition for a live action show - she said my martial arts experience would be perfect for the role, which has been so true!

Q: What was your first reaction when you got the part?
A: I was confident I nailed my auditioned so was hoping the producers liked me. When my agent called me I was over the moon! I called Mum and the family to tell her I’d be going to New Zealand, which was bitter/sweet for her.

Q: Did you audition for another role?
A: Yes, I read for the roles of Deker and Green Ranger.

Q: Before auditions, did you know that Power Rangers was still around?
A: I heard about the show but I never actually watched it. I didn’t watch a huge amount of TV growing up as we travelled for my parent’s jobs.

Q: Have you seen Shinkenger?
A: No but I’m keen to

Q: Who is your greatest influence and why?
A: A valuable lesson my dad taught me was to learn from everyone I talk to and everything I watch. I am most grateful for my parent’s love and support.

Q: Did you do any of the stunts on the show?
A: Yes!

Q: If you could change anything about your character, what would it be?
A: Nothing as “Gold is Good to Go”!

Q: How do you relate to your character?
A: I am someone that is full of life, full of emotion and doesn’t always fit the mold. Since the element of power for the Gold Ranger is light, I relate on many different levels as I am called to bring light and hope into dark places.

Q: How did you get into singing?
A: My parents made me perform at a very young age. First it was singing and dancing then I picked up the drums and guitar. We used to travel doing volunteer work at orphanages, schools, juvenile centers and homes for abused kids. We spent time bringing them hope through music and performances.

Q: Are you producing an album?
A: Yes, it’s nearly complete. I’m a singer/songwriter by heart and love producing.
I bring my guitar with me everywhere, even on set, and come after work and start playing and writing.

Q: What was your favorite acting or singing gig?
A: Well right now its Power Rangers or I wouldn’t be here, LOL. Anything that has to do with the arts I truly love. I have many emotions stored up waiting to be explored, so having a chance to express those through the music I write is something that is boiling inside right now.

Q: What was it like performing with Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment?
A: It was a pleasure - they are great people and performers.

Q: What was it like singing in the Glee episodes?
A: It was a cool experience. As a performer it’s everything all-in-one: music, dance, stage and more.

A: It truly is an honor, and I love the color Gold!

Q: How does it feel to be part of the latest line in such a long legacy?
A: Well it’s a huge responsibility to be able to represent and be a Ranger, especially because there is a huge fan base already! So I find it quite humbling. But embracing and loving every minute, and you guys make it all worth it!

Q: Was it challenging to play the role?
A: Yes. Every part of him was a challenge! The wide range of emotions and passion he has comes from the excitement, reality of life!

A: I love him in every way. Much respect!!

Q: What do you think of your Mega Mode?
A: Love it, Love it! Mega Awesomeness! The Gold and Black combo are stunning!
