Power Rangers (up to Season 18), Beetleborgs, and VR Troopers are all out on Netflix tomorrow. Which means Saban got the Metal Heroes shows back, and this explains the Youtube clampdown.
Where I found the news: http://www.rangerboard.com/showthread.php?t=147661
(http://www.rangerboard.com/showthread.php?t=147661)Oddly, Zeo is listed as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season 4, Turbo as Mighty Morphin season 5, etc.

Yeah most likely they do it like Dr.Who and other shows were they will have it all up to the new season.

My guess as to why Saban Brands has Beetleborgs and VR Troopers again, I believe it could be similar to PR's situation - both are TV properties co-owned by Toei, meaning Disney would be writing checks for their airings. Disney probably figured that those things could be someone else's problem now, and thus sold the rights. There was also a rumor of a lack of control of the PR property by Disney, in this 2009 Rangerboard post (http://www.rangerboard.com/showthread.php?p=3198234), the same case that would have been for Beetleborgs and VR Troopers, had Disney wanted to create new products off of the properties. Now, if this took place after the Power Rangers deal in May 2010, I can imagine Disney would at least attempt to put an ironclad clause against the two shows going to Nickelodeon or its family of networks. Plus, Disney goes some money they can use for projects on Disney XD from two series they would likely never air. There is one property that Toei has that I can really see Disney trying to buy the entire rights of: the 1978 Spider-man live-action toku show, to help bring some of the Spider-man rights under Disney/Marvel control.

1.You can't buy DVDs from Netflix. Your thinking of redbox.
2.You rent and keep it DVDs as long as you want, as long as your account stays currant. You don't even need this option. You can pay just for streaming. However for a dollar more than the just streaming, you can get just one rental at a time. One at a time plus streaming is the option I have.
3. There are many more devices to stream from. PS3 for example is another. Personally I find the ps3 netflix app better organized than the xb360 app and the wii NF-disc. I have all three systems.

You can't subscribe from the xb360. You need to subscribe from the netflix site. Than grab a code from netflix and put it in the xb360's netflix app.
So if I get Netflix, is there any way I can download them, or something to keep them permanently? Or do I need to keep paying and re-subscribing just to see them?
Also, I have a good feeling that "Power Rangers on Netflix" translates into "No boxsets for you guys!".

You pay a monthly fee of 8 dollars. You can watch any movie or tv show for the whole month.

The PR Box sets would sell...but just to the older hardcore fans. The young audience (primary target) will not care for box sets. I prefer the Netflix Streaming approach because they have done a fine job on publishing the content on multiple platforms.

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on demand. The UK may be more likely to get them than the US, because the show is actually still very popular here (it even became Nick's highest rating show already) and we can't use the Netflix service. There's past precedent as well.

Same way you find other shows not listed. Type Power Rangers. I know for a fact on the ps3 only 8 series show up listed when u search for something. This means typing out the whole name for each series.
BTW, since the first day of E3, both movies have showed back up for streaming on netflix.

It doesn't rule out boxsets, but I don't think it helps its case. For a company like Saban, it's much easier to just put these episodes online for a subscription price (on a service that is becoming increasingly popular) rather than releasing hard copy DVD's that might not sell much. Think about it. It's a lot of work to put these seasons out on boxsets, and you have to wonder, would they really sell? Outside of the us, the hardcore fans, how many people are going to shell out $30-$60 a season for Power Rangers episodes? Not to mention that digital streaming and services like Netflix are completely destroying hard copy DVD's. I won't say that we're not getting boxsets, but I wouldn't be surprised if Saban is more that content with having all 17 seasons of his show on Netflix and leaving it at that.

I have no idea who you are, but welcome to the Internet. A couple things. First, you can stop with all the "Excuse me for being on your planet!" lines. They're not funny. Not even a little. Sorry. Secondly, you can either calm down and try to act at least somewhat mature, or you can take your own advice and head -------> that way to 4chan, or any other sites you feel like going to. It's up to you. But if you really want, you can leave it up to me.

I don't think the systems can handle 732 episodes. I have a hunch they might have to split it into 2 parts like they do anime.

It might also have something to do with a lot of people trying to view them at once. I've had that happened before, but like others have said Netflix might overwhelmed with so maybe episodes being uploaded at once. Believe they should split it up into two or at least three parts.

Wrong! Once a videos uploaded to netflix, all versions of the Netflix app have exe. The problem is the ps3 app is limited to only listing 499 episodes per season. The Wii limited to 255. This wouldn't of been a problem if they would of listed each season separate rather than one large set.

It's up to the IP owner, if they want the shows split into parts. This is why some anime is split into parts and others are not. Saban Brands needs to put a request in for the change.

Well, I WAS getting all the episodes. :p
But I think we should also keep in mind that they're getting them up today so there are prolly gonna be glitches for a few days as things get uploaded and all the fans show up wanting the eps. I got four minutes into DotD on my Wii and Netflix crashed (everything else on my Wii was working fine so it was definitely Netflix). Things like this happen a lot when they upload a new show and considering even my cousin, who's not a real big fan is planning on watching em for nostalgic sake, I think this may end up more popular than we think--Power Rangers are "retro" now after all. :p

I think we could still see DVD sets, seeing as the only work Saban Brands needs to do is license the DVD rights to a third party, for example Shout Factory. Saban gets paid via the licensing fee, and all the headaches of releasing the DVD's becomes someone elses problem.

Momo, the fact that you said that leads me to believe you're PowerDigiDragon from Rangerboard.
That said, I'm quoting my post from there concerning my fix for Wii users.
I actually discovered a strange fix concerning MMPR on the Wii! Some of you have said that more episodes are added, or that the episodes available is random. It's neither of those; episodes are being moved when you restart the software according to the last episode you saw.
If you want a full season to show up on the Wii, watch any episode of that season (Episode numbers are quoted from Comet Warror below). After you watch the episode, reset the software via the Home Menu, and go back to Power Rangers on the instant queue. All episodes of that season should now be there.
EPISODE NUMBERS
MMPR Season 1: 1 - 60
Season 2: 61 - 112
Season 3: 113 - 145
Alien Rangers: 146 - 155
Zeo: 156 - 205
Turbo: 206 - 250
In Space: 251 - 293
Lost Galaxy: 294 - 338
Lightspeed Rescue: 339 - 378
Time Force: 379 - 418
Wild Force: 419 - 458
Ninja Storm: 459 - 496
Dino Thunder: 497 - 534
S.P.D.: 535 - 572
Mystic Force: 573 - 604
Overdrive: 605 - 636
Jungle Fury: 637 - 668
RPM: 669 - 700
MMPR v2: 701 - 732

Sony Blu-ray Player: Works. Best User interface. Able to select by season.
Wii: Works. Terrible interface (have to scroll through the large list of episodes with minimal information)
Xbox 360: Doesn't work and terrible interface. Shows the list of episode # but none of the links work.
PS3: Works. Decent interface (have to scroll through the large list of episodes with decent information)
Windows Phone 7: Works. Beautiful interface but terrible experience (slow performance while scrolling down the large list of episodes)
It sounds like the developers need to port the features from the Blu-ray player to the gaming platforms to improve the user experience. The ability to select seasons and then episodes is a great approach.

I wouldn't think Samurai would be added until the season was done anyway. Did Saban get Ninja Turtles the Next Mutation or did they say? That was good too!

No word, but Nickelodeon is actually more likely to try to acquire that than Saban, since they own the TMNT franchise.

As the shows reacquired are all the Renaissance Atlantic co-productions (which includes Mystic Knights), I'd say NT:TNM is relegated to the dustbin of history where it belongs, Shell Shocked aside.

Ditto, except for the mid to late 80s cartoon, the three live action movies. The Next Mutation are the only forms of Ninja Turtles I like, the recent cartoon I just didn't like and couldn't get into, the CGI movie they made not long ago, I thought was pretty interesting, but that's really it.

Had more loading problems today. When I was watching Once a Ranger Part 1 it stop loading at about 10 minutes into the episode, I had to restart the episode to get it to load the remainder. When I was watching part 2 it did it again. And then when part 2 ended the Sony Blu-ray Player I'm watching on froze.

I find that if you stop the episodes right when it start to play and wait for it to load a bit, It doesn't skip or lag.
Netflix should do like anime and do this..
Power Rangers Part 1 382 episodes
Power Rangers Part 2 350 episodes

TiVo HD boxes can also access Netflix. When I first looked at the list, it did tell me that PR only had 100 episodes available. The list was all of Season 1 (x60), the first 8 episodes of Season 2 (x8), and the first two episodes of the remaining 16 seasons, with the Reversioning as Season 18 (16x2), for a total of 100 episodes. I started watching "Bloom of Doom" from Season 2, switched back to my Xbox to watch a random Futurama episode, then went back to the list, only to find that it had changed!
S1: 1, 2, 56-60
S2: 1-52
S3: 1-11
S4-18: 1-2 from each series
I suspect that the TiVo's method is to get you 60 episodes of your given season, 8 episodes of the season after your given one, and the first two episodes of the other seasons. Season 2, being 52 episodes, encompasses the last five of Season 1 and the first three of Season 3, before those 'first 8' episodes kick in. I haven't checked the other seasons yet - I just plugged my TiVo box back in to see if the Netflix interface was any better. It's given a TiVo makeover, and I do like that all of the episodes seem to be accessible, even if it's as random as it appears.

Because they are using the same app as WII. That app doesn't work on PS3 or X-box. It's been tried.

Just watched the first episode of Power Rangers Ninja Storm with no problems.
Also, I going to guess they cut part of the credits to add the Saban Brands since the music was playing over it and their was no logo there when that episode originally aired.
There was a logo - the Village Roadshow logo. But it's just a still image, not an animation like Saban Brands has, so maybe the credits were sped up.Found the proof.

I think they are fixing it because the same episodes are available and working on the Xbox. It's says 177 eps are up.

@Forever Green Yeah I noticed its showing more like this and when you click on it shows Alien Rangers etc.
For anyone that has consoles like Wii and Xbox 360 Netflix has seperated the seasons into parts.
ForeverGreen
06-18-2011, 09:03 AM
I can now 100% confirm that the episodes are fixed and running on xbox
Seasons 1-3 and the reversion are under Mighty Morphin and the Rest of the seasons are separated by season Power Rangers in Space, Power Rangers Zeo etc.
EDIT: Also seasons 1-3 are marked as such in the MMPR "folder" or whatever you want to call it
EDIT 1 More time: I have all the seasons in my instant queue lol

And with this latest change, only MMPR is showing up on the Wii. MMAR-RPM are missing entirely.

Search for Power rangers and they should be up there as PR RPM, PR LR, PR Lg etc.

On these Netflix encodes, they added a Saban Brands logo, right? I assume this replaces the old Saban, Village Roadshow, and Jetix logos? Can someone post clips of this?

Fair warning. I don't think thier done tinkering with it. Why do I say this. Well under every series. It gives you the genres you can locate it under. They don't have that up. Plus they just changed Powers Rangers season 1-3 to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers again.

Netflix needs to bite the bullet and update the console apps with season tabs. It's much simpler and faster than messing with the list.

Netflix still working on. I would not be surprised one bit. If they bunch them back together or put them in 3 parts instead. In other words I don't think they be staying as seperate seasons.. I think thier looking for a better way to do it yes,but I don't think this is thier final solution. lol

They still have it listed as 1-18 on that title also. Plus the other seasons don't have the genre they belong to or anything under title. Like all Netflix other shows. Which means they probably just seperated them to fix the kinks and rejoining them.

The way it is now is fine compared to what it was doing.

Under Might Morphin Power Rangers it still says season 1-18 and list the genres. Under say Power Ranger Zeo it only says streaming.. Which to me says they will be rejoining them again.

Nope, they're all split into separate seasons now. If you can't find them using the Wii's search bar, go onto the Netflix site find MMPR. Underneath that should be all the seasons of Power Rangers after that (And yes, for some reason Alien Rangers counts as a separate season.)
EDIT: Wait, they're not showing up on the Wii... even though I added them at the top of the queue.
