Ignoring the sheer number of Deus Ex Machinas, I am wondering what was with the sudden Madison/Nick pairing? I don't remember them ever really hinting at a relationship between the two.

Firass and Melanie were lobbying for it since they were a couple. It doesn't really come out of anywhere.

I just marathoned the season so it may have slipped by, but were there any hints?

They planned to. Melanie flatly refused.

But yet Madison and Daggeron fics remain left, right, and centre. Criticism of it prominant, because the concensus is he's old enough to be her dad.

I enjoyed Melanie's comment. It wasn't just that Daggeron was too old, it was that John was really unattractive. Tee-hee.

I will say that I am gonna ship the crap out of Phineas/Leelee just because of how hillarious that is. It's funny that while this still is one of my least favorite seasons it managed to do Time Force's lesson better than Time Force did.
Also, yeah pair the 17 year old girl with the 40 year old dude, that would end well. Couldn't they have just left out the relationship completely? If your not gonna build to it, then don't include it.

Considering the amount Power Rangers cuts, they never cut the right part.

To be fair, Nick and Madison had some interaction in the premiere, as well as in "Rock Solid." It wasn't much, and definitely not enough to justify the sudden romance in the finale. The Nick/Madison relationship was something that could've been developed had the writers put in the effort beyond those first few episodes, but instead they ignored it for the entirety of the season. Kalish seasons were good at that.

This is the first I've heard of Madison/Daggeron, and that is just WRONG (though the frog kissing in "Long Ago" suddenly makes a lot more sense). It was one thing to debut Daggeron as a heroic, gentlemanly knight. It's an entirely different thing to actually carry that on and have him hook up with a young girl. How did they expect to pull off something that creepy on a kids show? Funny how mindless the desire to adapt Sentai often is.

Ewww,no ofense3,Dagerron was really cool and all, actually my fave from that season, but eh,no.....not only is the dude too old,but then again,c'mon, let's admit it,he's not well,as atractive like magi Shine was, lolz O_O. Now had idk,Xander,or whateve his name is ,been Solaris Knight....then yes,it would make me smile :D

Then again,if they had had the whole relatives as a team thing,i would be even more happy :D Just my opinon tho.....

Haha that's reminded me actually. In Magiranger, apart from MagiShine, they were all in the same biological nuclear family. If they followed the family motive for the entire core for PR, Madison would almost have no choice but to go for Daggeron.

Oh gosh. Wrong, wrong, WRONG.

EDIT: Although hilarious. I might write a Sky and Doggie fic now, just for the evulz.

Actually, this is one of the things that I liked about the Kalish seasons. We got some older rangers. The oldest ranger we had prior to Cruger was Tommy who was like 25. Granted I'm not entirely sure if Daggeron, and Leanbow counted as rangers, at least Udonna does.

Not really,Udonna is more like an allie, sort of like Blue Senturion,Sentinal Knight, and others. Dagerron served officialy as a Sixth hero/Sixth Ranger,he had his own zord, his own morpher, etc.

Udonna is CALLED a Ranger, for god's sake.

I never understood this obsessing people have over someone automatically being a ranger because they have their own zord.

Kat in SPD never had her own zord, and she referred to herself as 'SPD Kat ranger'

And plenty of non rangers have owned zords without needing to be a ranger.

I really don't see the confusion in this criteria. If the show labels them as rangers, they are. If it labels them as something else, they're not.

It's not the Zord that makes a ranger. The main requirements seem to be having ranger in their name, and their suit being like everyone else.

We'll get this all settled in 2 or 3 years....The Gokaiger adaptation? No, that'll just confuse things further. They count Ninjor and Auric as zords (they don't have Ranger Keys, and other ranger-like allies do). In PR, Ninjor and Auric are ally heroes. They count Magna Defender, Wolf Warrior, Mystic White Ranger, Female Samurai Red Ranger, SPD Shadow Ranger, SPD Kat Ranger, Jarrod, Camille, Sentinel Knight and Blue Senturion as ally heroes, and all have ranger keys. In PR, MD, WW, SK and BS count as allies, Jarrod and Camille are considered reformed villains, and the others are extra rangers. MagiShine is considered a sixth ranger in Gokaiger. Despite being called Solaris Knight in PR, PR does seem to agree on his sixth ranger status.

Just call the 6th Ranger 'Silver Knight' or something, there problem solved.

Sentai is different from PR. They don't really have the ranger and ranger like ally designations.
