After watching Dino Thunder all the way through, I can't help but think...

...the video game could have been so much cooler.

My stepbrother got the game when it was new and I gave it a whirl myself. For those who haven't played it, you control the dinozords and complete little missions with them. Not once do you get out of the zords to do anything. I finished the entire game within a night and got most of the extra stuff over the course of a week. Granted, the game is meant for a much younger audience, but Mario is for all ages and look at his games.

I was thinking if the game was more like Kingdom hearts or the newer Prince of Persia titles, it could have been awesome. An action-platformer is perfect for PR, especially since the best PR game (in my opinion) was just that. That game was MMPR for the SNES. It was a beat 'em up with little bouts of platforming. Just add an EXP system and your god to go. Not EXP like Final Fantasy, no no. I'm thinking EXP like in Arkham Asylum. The EXP merely lets you upgrade abilities and powers.

Anyway, I'm just ranting a bit. It's just that, especially after watching the last episode and the fights in it, there should have been more thematic elements and more ranger fights.

You are talking for the PS2 version right? I haven't found it anywhere in Greece to buy it yet. I only have super legends, but I agree with you about the KH style. It will be cool to see that. And yes the snes game is the best rangers game ever

I don't really care what type of game the do, I want a save feature in it. The BIGGEST thing I HATE about the old power ranger games was no save, especially since they were hard. MMPR TM on SNES, I still have yet to beat it, both MMPR games on GB I've beat, TM on GB I think was the best, although Goldar was the biggest pain on there. If Zeo Battle Racers would've had a save on it would have been better.

Agreed. Shame that Bandai - who don't make Lego style building blocks - won't licence out the franchise. To have a Lego video game, it must first have physical Lego.

The Dino Thunder Game was a big let down, I have the Gamecube version of Dino Thunder, and it's just like the PS2 or whatever other system it was on. It suck. I agree with yonkomothe, would love to have a EXP System like Arkham. A Dynasty Warriors type game would be cool too, would also love a Dissidia type game, a Lego game would be awesome. Might have gotten one if Disney still owned Power Rangers....Wow i did not just say that... i feel dirty now.

Even making it like a Final Fantasy or even Kingdom Hearts style would be WAY better then that ****.

To add to what Digifiend said, Lego is far more popular. Everybody knows what Lego is; the few people who know what Mega Bloks is see it as a rip-off of Lego.

If Lego Power Rangers existed, it would actually get advertising and a Lego PR video game would be a possibility.

Yeah... I always used to get a Lego set for Christmas and birthdays. The motorcycle helmets some of the figures have make good Ranger visors, they'd need very little tweaking.

My little brother had the Dino Thunder game. I remember cracking up with Tommy sounded amazingly different. I know they couldn't get any of the actors to voice their respective rangers, but still it's hilarious how unlike Tommy he sounds.

Not from name brand Lego's, but with another brand called Flexi-Blocks. They had connectors on either side of them and gave "motion" to the blocks, I built several Power Ranger related things not just Zords.

oh hell, that was like 1993 or before that I had them, and I didnt come into the rangers until the summer of '95, and i did it simply to see if i could. those blocks are long gone.

I wont buy any game unless its really good. Super legends I wanted to get but didnt like the grathics. the voicing also the zord fights never got it. I love for a Soul calibur type of game for with another super legends type game. I hope 1 day this century they doo that.

If Lego can sub license Pirates, Indiana Jones and Batman then Power Rangers would do fine. Gather enough people and you get team attacks. Ride on the zords like the animals like in Pirates make the villains even sillier. It's be way less linear and way more awesome
