After having a terrible 'prank' layout up for one day, the Internet's newest Alex Heartman fansite has opened! Visit us at http://www.AlexHeartman.info for (most of, if not) all your Alex Heartman fan needs! A lot of things are in the early stages (videos, Samurai/Super Samurai images, links), but enough content is up to have a soft opening.
I'm going to be working on the Samurai galleries throughout the evening. I'm in the process of re-recording the first season through Nicktoons to try and get better-quality source material (the pictures won't be like Mesh's at all, since I no longer get NickHD, but I'm hoping that the satellite recordings will be higher in quality than the analog-cable ones that I currently have). Judging by how Nicktoons is rerunning Samurai, "Origins" and "Clash of the Red Rangers" are going to be drawn from my existing recordings. "Christmas Together," unless it reairs this coming Holiday season, might be lost forever, though I could probably hook my Xbox 360 up and encode the Netflix version... (See what happens when you type things out? You think of solutions!)
Anyway, come and check us out in our humble beginnings!

Awesome site! Glad to see you back in the fansite business.
I was planning his site but ended up giving the domain to him. Hit me up if you want any content.

Thanks! It's good to be back in the game. The fandom needs more fansites again. It's time for a renaissance! (Also, I'm not boycotting Photoshop, Wordpress, or anything else that every other fansite for anyone out there uses. I like doing things the old-fashioned way. That, and I can't afford Photoshop. ;) )
Re: Domain - Is that why the .com is mapped to his WhoSay page? I always wondered why. Now, I know!
Re: Content - I'll definitely keep you in mind!
A small update: I added some more Photoshoot pictures (I'm up to 15 now, and the LA Teen Magazine photoshoot should be coming out in a few weeks), and I've got four of the Samurai galleries up - episodes 5, 6, 14, and 15 - with more on the way. The side panel has been changed a bit, replacing the pending Guestbook links (HTMLGear is officially dead, it seems, so no more guestbooks) with permanent links to Alex's social media pages.

You are correct about the domain. I redirected to his WhoSay page.
Don't forget to add his interviews, including some of the older ones with clevverTV, and his Power Play extras.

I've got an improvement: BRING IT BACK. Although, most of the fansites I've stumbled across don't use guestbooks anymore, so maybe I'm just stuck in the past.

I built my own php guestbook for a few fansites then I stopped adding them. Nowadays, social interaction is performed via Twitter, Facebook..etc. The guestbook feels like an outdated concept. I also noticed that the guestbook can get easily flooded with spam.

HTML Gear seemed to have a spam filter added to it at some point in time. I used to get the spam messages, then they stopped. It must have been one of the improvements somewhere along the line. Twitter can get flooded with spam as well. If you sit and watch one of the Trending Topics start to really propagate its way through the world, pretty soon the spambots pick it up.
Site-wise, I'm currently working on more Samurai/Super Samurai galleries. I've got almost a dozen episodes to go through (thanks, Nicktoons, for running SIX episodes in one day) for the next update, plus - with enlarging the site screen sizes, I need to go through and rework the (thankfully) four existing galleries so they take up more of the available space.
--
Edit: I've got all of the PR galleries up that I have for the moment. I'm not sure how the old analog-encoded Nick ones will look, so I'm holding off on those for right now. I do, however, want to do video clips in order, so I'll probably wind up using my analog-Nick encodes for the clips. We'll see what happens tomorrow. It's late, and I need sleep.
---
Edit 2: Okay, so I didn't go to bed yet. I found a scrolling news ticker and had to get it going. It's so mesmerizing...

I've got a majority of the Samurai galleries up. I used my original Nick TiVo-to-go recording of "Origins" for the 2-parter that Nicktoons seems to hate, and I should have fresh copies of everything else by this weekend ("Ultimate Duel" aired yesterday, "Team Unites"/"Deal" aired this morning, and "Unexpected Arrival" is on Saturday at 11), so the Samurai-half of the galleries is set.
Video-clip-wise, I've got to go through "Team Unites" and "Deal" for anything good, then I can progress forward with "There Go The Brides." Any ideas for good Jayden moments that I should look for?

Thanks! Also, thanks for the shoutout on Twitter! I had a second Twitter account that I'm repurposing for site update announcements and such - because it seems like the in thing to do - so check out the new/repurposed AHSource Twitter page at www.twitter.com/AHSource_News . {~rest of post snipped for outdated information~}
Late-breaking Edit: So, I figured out what was wrong, and I got it changed. We're now @AHSource_News on Twitter!

Pics from the "Samurai" season are almost all up. The only episode I'm missing is "Unexpected Arrival," which is airing this Saturday. Also, I'll add pics of "Clash of the Red Rangers" this weekend as well. Video clip wise, I'm now halfway through "Samurai," with "Test of the Leader" being the next episode up.
(If you're using Chrome, it saves old versions of some of the pages on the site. I know that the Ticker and the "Welcome" page were cached on my own system, and I had to hit "Reload Frame" to get the updated versions. If you see "4/11/12 Site Update" on the Ticker and the embedded Twitter feed on the main page, then you're good!)

New ticker colors and the Temper Trap video on the homepage will indicate that you're looking at the current version of the page today! I added pics from "Unexpected Arrival" and today's episode, "Runaway Spike," as well as an embed of the Temper Trap video that Alex is starring in. Some other minor changes are present throughout the site, including moving the super-long list of interviews off of the ticker and into their own section in the Links page.
I'll get pics of "Clash" up tomorrow, as well as some clips from the remaining "Samurai" episodes. At the very least, I'd like to get through "Unexpected Arrival," since there are some GREAT Jayden moments in that one!

I added pictures from "A Sticky Situation" to the site, as well as a direct embed of "Somebody's Watching Me," a couple of new news tidbits in the ticker, and moving the press release about the Make Life Better Foundation appearance to the Related Websites page. I'd rush through adding the missing video clips, but I'll take advantage of the impeding Summer hiatus and use that time to keep adding new content. Hopefully, next week's repeat episode is one of the early "Super Samurai" episodes, so that I can begin on the backlog of the first portion of "Super Samurai."
Enjoy the new content! The ticker should have new colors and mention the 4/29 site update. If not, hit "reload" on your browser, and it should bring forward the newest content!

It's the update you've been waiting for! TONS of new info from Alex on the "Take A Chance" front, as well as new pictures from the last two "Super Samurai" episodes. I'm planning on getting the rest of the "Samurai" video clips done by this evening. I've got three episodes left to go ("Boxed In" through "The Ultimate Duel"), which shouldn't take me *too* long to do. I found out that I do have "Clash of the Red Rangers" recorded on a different TiVo box (which, funnily enough, is working again), so I'll be able to easily get clips from that. I might hook up Netflix to get clips from "Christmas Together" either today or tomorrow.
(Also, I'm missing the first five episodes from the "Super Samurai" season. The upcoming hiatus period should help me play catch-up and continue to provide new content through the Summer months. Keep your fingers crossed!)

Our Summer of Updating has begun! This week completes our image galleries, with "Christmas Together" and "Something Fishy," plus we have new video clips from "Clash of the Red Rangers" and "Christmas Together." Next week should begin the "Super Samurai" video clips with "Super Samurai" and, depending on the content level, "Shell Game."
Also, I updated the Twitter links on both the left side panel and the main content page itself. If, for some reason, the left side does NOT change, click the link below to open it up by itself and hit "Reload" or "Refresh" to wake it up. Since that panel is no larger than the image itself, there's no room to reload the frame right there.
