I loved this episode! Especially cuz it was about Mia, my fav character! Shogun mode wuz awesome too! AHH! I wasn't too excited about this episode, but now I absolutely love it!

-When Spike looks for a job. Too funny.

I'm led to believe this is the 80% Bulk & Spike episode Paulie was referring to. I wasn't really 80% (more like 50%), but I can't imagine getting ANOTHER episode heavily focused on the two of them.

--That Nighlok looks so badass, yet he runs around yelling "I'm cool! You're not!". Wow, way to go Samurai. Always finding a way to stoop to new lows.
--It looks like they were reusing footage early on. Did anyone else notice that Antonio shows up for the fight literally out of nowhere?
--Looks like Deker's endless sword masturbating is back.
--Before anyone says anything, Shogun Mode doesn't count as a Battlizer. Mia isn't the first female to use a Battlizer.

The episode was very 'meh'. It draws no type of reaction from me. It does nothing overly shameworthy (other than the Nighlok saying 'cool' well over 50 times) and nothing impressive. It's very...Samurai.

No Skull either. I'm beginning to doubt JDF's comments that he's actually going to make a cameo. This was the episode to do it, and they passed on it. There's 13 episodes left, but I won't be surprised if Skull never shows his face to us.

^He is an idiot. You would have a hard time arguing after this episode that Spike is not mentally deficient. This is probably why Skull dumped him in the first place. To get this idiot off his hands. But besides the fact that he got fired 4 times today, I'm much more curious how he got HIRED 4 times in one day. Forget the fact that it's Spike, how many people that you know can get hired 4 times in one day? I wish getting hired was that easy.

And going back to my comment on Skull, I guess it's possible he could cameo in the finale. If he comes to pick up Spike or something.

I enjoyed this episode, not the like"omfg bestzz episode everr" but it had me chuckling a few times. The squid guy, for the 5 seconds he was in the episode, said something about the monster sending himself air kisses in the mirror, made me laugh just for the cheesiness of the line.

I agree with the ranger stuff, it seemed just kind of there...and where the heck was Jayden for most of the episode? He just kinda jumped in and was like "We need to use the Lightzord!" right after Emily said something about it...

I actually really liked Spike in this episode, but I agree this should have happened along time ago! But boy can't keep a job, how he got them all in one day is beyond me. Plus I liked the scene with Spike and Mia, though the "never give up!" made me cringe cause I thought of Danny and Max...that's never a good thought.

And hey Antonio thanks for randomly showing up in that fight! Hahaha I was like "When did he get there?" They couldn't re-shoot that scene and having him run in to meet up with them? But I thought he was good in this episode, Mike and Antonio are easily my favorite characters in the show.

I liked the ending bit and I hope they keep with Antonio, Spike, and Bulk working together, it was a cute little scene! And point to the totally dry boot that Antonio pulled out of the water. Funny how he was catching so many fish in the beginning of the episode and at the end he's got nothing and Bulk and Spike are catching them all and he's like "what the...?"

But yeah, enjoyable but still a 3/5 it wasn't the best but not the worst. And what was up with Dayu and Deker for all of 30 seconds? If they had the scene at the end having them meeting up with Serrator than I wouldn't have a problem with it but they didn't so...random. And hey it was the yellow ball thing! Why Dayu still had that I don't know...

Aside from the toys initially calling it one, it looks like a Battlizer and acts like a Battlizer, even if it's being totally squandered.

I mean, if they bust it out in the finale and start killing Moogers with it, then yeah, that's a different story. But for now, I don't know. Why not call Mega Mode a Battlizer then? I was ticked that they didn't take advantage of the Super Samurai Gold moment, but the Pink Shogun made up for that fact. I have a strong feeling that we will see Super and Shogun Yellow in next week's episode.

It's about time that the ladies get some attention. Jen in Time Force would've made a great candidate for a "battlizer" style armor.

Why not call Mega Mode a Battlizer then? It has just as much purpose as Shogun Mode.

Because Mega Mode isn't stupidly oversized like Shogun Mode is. Mega Mode by all means should be a team super mode, but it's...I don't know what it is except awesome looking. I can't even call it protective armor to pilot the zords because by all means, Super Mode and Shark Attack mode should negate its necessity, but yet they have mega modes.

I'm not gonna lie though. Shogun Mode is, so far, a pretty crappy battlizer and has almost been shown to be completely unnecessary in all of its uses. At least it looks neat, and that Shogun Spear is gonna be pretty boss.

EDIT: Actually, might as well just ask. Fury, is that information that your sources would have?

As much as we want to call Shogun Mode a battlizer, it isn't. The Shogun Mode is yet another Battle Mode in the show. We've seen it used 3 times and there isn't a consistent point of the armor except for the fact that it provides an additional power boost to the Megazord's finishing attack.

I would've loved to see the Shogun Mode to be used briefly in normal fights...similar to the Digimon concept of Super, Mega, Ultimate modes. The filming concept would be the same except for additional Cg used for rendering the finishing attack.

I found this episode to be... decent. It wasn't anything to write home about, but it was at least watchable. It was nice to see some interaction between the Rangers and B&S, but it should have happen earlier. Also, like with HAHMHMB, I felt the footage took a backseat to the story. Also, Shougon Ranger has the be the most inconsistent Battlizer (Battlizer! Battlizer! Battlizder!). At first, they needed it for the Bullzord, now they can just use for ANY finisher? Really?

The episode it as pretty cool i really enjoyed the interactcs between Mia and Spike and Mia used the Shogun Mode it as awesome but now they can use the Shogun Mode always and not need the Bullzord unless with the Debuts of Samurai Gigazord changed something and well the ideia of Lightzord loses energy i do not understand well becase oe moment is ready for the Battle an them puffs end the energy of the Lightzord, and i really loved the remix of the theme in the Clawarmor Megazord finish blow.

Next Week possible the Debuts of the Shogun Yellow Samurai.

If that's the case then that means if the show is set in 2012 then spike was born some time during MMPR S3, or Zeo. Suddenly the theory of Kim being pregnant with Spike as the reason for the Dear John letter gains a solid foothold.

As for the argument of Spike having some form of mental handicap is very possible. His manner of speech, the fact that he speaks very little, his spastic movements. It's easy to claim that Spike hasn't mentally progressed past age 5.

Really good episode today. It was good to see how much Spike really cares for Bulk to go out and get a job to help pay the rent without being asked. It was also good to see the Rangers to "Never give up." (not that they should be giving up.) Mia's acting was at an all time high today.

But yeah, this episode pretty much confirms it that Spike was born either during Zeo or beginning of Turbo.Explains why Bulk and Skull apparently didn't end up going to France like they were supposed to at the end of Zeo. Skull found out he was going to be a Daddy. He also didn't have the heart to tell Bulk he didn't want to go onto Terra Venture (again, because of Spike) so he deliberately wore earmuffs so that he'd sleep through his alarm clock and miss the flight.

Back on topic, there was actually some pretty funny scenes involving Spike this episode, although when he got into that fancy sports car, I knew what was going to happen next! I wonder if he'll still be lusting after the pink ranger, now that he's seemingly fallen in love at first sight with Mia (because of course, he doesn't know that they're the same person)?

Never give up is a Samurai thing? Wild Force would want words about that (it's practically their motto), it's something that applies to all Power Rangers, not just Samurai!

The episode was awesome. I mostly loved the super samurai pink. I wasn't expecting to see shogun pink, but I had a feeling that it would show up sooner or later. Mia looks cool in shogun mode, I esspecially loved the music played in the background. Apparently the other rangers can use the Shogun buckle other than the bull zord, who knew. I again rated this episode awesome, like I always do. Heck I like watching them.

Was this episode really all that necessary? I mean, yes, it did give Spike more characterization, and I actually did like the Bulk/Spike scenes in this episode, but other than that, this was really just a filler episode I could've done without. I'm getting so tired of the "Mia can't cook" thing. And, I personally don't count Shogun Mode as a Battelizer, and I STILL don't understand the importance of it. I mean, they really don't use it except for having a fancy schmancy outfit before destroying a monster. Oh yeah, and Jayden and Antonio just seemed to come out of nowhere in this episode.

I'm glad that we got to see an episode primarily focused on Spike. The usage of Spike in this episode was great, especially with the few interactions with Mia and Antonio.

Mia steals the show in this episode by being the second Ranger to take on the Shogun powers. The writers should've gave the Shogun Powers to Kevin in the previous episode. The opportunity was there with the first formation of the Gigazord.

I am enjoyed this episode with drama part, roll call in night, but not megazord part...

Now Shogun mode is totaly useless as its already pointed out by many folks.

Why the mode was not used just very limited occasion as like Giga combination at last episode,
Why Mia need to become Shogun just to lauch squid cannon,
I am worry about the filming team are much stXXid as Spiky as he is portraited in the show, also Banda America who may not cares about sales of their toys....

This episode should be aired before Bullzord w/o Shogun Pink, then Bull exploration, and Giga combine by Shogun Blue. That is the right order I think.

I'll give it only "good" this time. The episode wasn't all that bad but I felt Spike's whole plot didn't feel much... integrated to the story. It was... just there most of the time.

- Big bad Samurai Rangers? Seems like a reference here :)

- Is it or in the first time ranger battle, Antonio appears all of sudden?;

- Spike interacting with a Ranger. I mean... no tricks, no clever editing, no digital inclusion?;

I loved how his license plate consisted of "$$" and nothing else.

Title was a bit of a misnomer, but I guess "Job Seeking Spike" doesn't sound nearly as interesting.

This was filler, but enjoyably so, allowing some long, long, long, long, long, long past due development for Bulk and Spike. And Spike may have had a number of jobs, but he did a lot better than Shinkenger's DaiGoyo, who never made it past the interview process.

We have the first female ranger using a Power Rangers exclusive toy form, but I think the biggest shocker is that this is the first time they adapted a Shinkenger episode that wasn't written by Kobayashi, who has a vice grip on the series she does.

Was torn between a 3/5 (OK) or a 4/5 (Good), but ended up voting 4, because I thought they made this a lot more enjoyable than the Shinkenger version, draining Lightzord's power on the dramatic entrance notwithstanding.

- So, I think this is supposed to be the start of the "Bulk, Spike and Antonio adventures" were promised...Yeah, there's a few episodes where ShinkenGold was late to a fight because he didn't want to abandon his sushi cart customers, as well as him being thrown out by Tanba, who was to the female red what Ji is to the male ShinkenRed. Tanba might not have a counterpart, in which case they'll need to replace that and have a different reason for Gold being gone for the next fight. Antonio being with Bulk and Spike would give an explanation for these tardy arrivals and absences.

The Roll Call is pretty good this always good to see the Rangers battles in Night because we dont see much Night battles in the Power Rangers seasons.

another very good episode. I was surprised to see Mia using Shogun Mode. That means all will use it,nice. I am very happy that at last Bulk & Spike communicate with the rangers. This should occur from the beginning of the show

I enjoyed this episode, but I really don't the ancestor powers should be allowed to be used by other rangers, just Jayden it didnt look right with Mia in that outfit. the Spyke stuff was funny and I hope they bring Skull back for a cameo appearance. Last thing I'm super psyched that Deker is back :D

I actually really like this episode. Mia's character is much more believable, and I loved when she offered to cook for everyone and they all ran away. Shogun Mode is really cool too!

Reminds much when Tommy comes to the battles in Mighty Morphing Power Rangers the Green rangers always show up in Last or just come to the battles and summons the Dragonzord to help in the battles.

I saw this episode as rerun yesterday and it was good. one where Spike find different jobs and get fired was funny. especially valet parking scene lol

Mia using Shogun Mode was cool. this episode must be where Spike meet Mia for the first time!

Everytime I look at the Shogun modes, I feel so sad,....such wasted potential plus the shogun spear llooks sick. Its inconsistent. It does nothing to increase the megazord's power and it isn't even a battlizer. Its just a glorified pilot suit
