Oh wow, so Dark Spector was considered. That would have been pretty damn interesting.
Great read, glad Amit did this.
Also, love this last line:
"As we approach season 20 of this phenomenon, here’s hoping we see more excellent moments to remember."

They sure liked the idea of Max volunteering to join in. Seems to be in every version but the final product.
I'm glad Dark Specter wasn't brought back. I liked the way he went out, and the volcano scenes feel like too much of a direct retread of the Turbo movie.

TJ was meant to have not heard of Lightspeed Rescue? How is that possible, their identities were public knowledge, so he should not only have heard of them, he should already have known Carter was a ranger. I'm glad they changed that.

Their identities may have been known, but it wasn't like the Lightspeed Rangers were celebraties.

I didn't bother to read it. I can't make out a whole single line of his chicken scratch!

I like the swipes he takes at "unreliable sources" within the PR community.

First draft....

^It was the second draft actually. They must've noticed the continuity issue, so when they rewrote it, they fixed it, implying that Carter and TJ had heard of each other before. Carter was the one who introduced TJ and revealed his previously unheard first and middle names. In fact, the final version seems to acknowledge that the Lightspeed Rangers are publicly known (Carter also recruits Cole, who was a rare person with a good excuse for not knowing about Lightspeed), but forgets that the events of Countdown to Destruction mean that TJ's identity is public knowledge too, so his introduction shouldn't have been necessary in universe.

Carter was introducing TJ to Cole (and the audience), who probably wouldn't have even known about C2D.

First, second, whatever. My point was it's pretty lame to bash an early draft "mistake" when it was obviously "corrected" by the time the story was fleshed out.

His identity as Blue Space Ranger is public knowledge, not Red Turbo.

This pretty much confirms the rumor of "Admit and Trazor going out of their way to deconstruct theories and things said by popular/known fandom members, so they can recon things heavily by megaforce's premiere date"

His identity as Blue Space Ranger is public knowledge, not Red Turbo. His designation isn't important. TJ is world famous as a Power Ranger, therefore, all the other rangers (except Cole) should know who he is. That was my point.

Good read, thanks for posting. Although I would have liked to hear his reasons why Cole destroyed Serpentera with a bike. Yes, I know the bike was given to him by a God or something like that...but it was anti-climactic and stupid as hell to watch

Why is it sad? That's how these sorts of things work. No one is going to back a movie based on artistic integrity. You have to promise something in return for a pet project, whether product placement or placing someone's idiot nephew in the cast

Except there is no point because T.J. was being introduced to Cole, which as you yourself point out, has a good excuse for not knowing who he is.
