Power Rangers Megaforce FANART Contest

As reported by our very own Fury Diamond via RangerCrew Blog (http://blog.samuraicast.com/power-rangers-megaforce-anniversary-season/), Megaforce will be the 20th anniversary season/celebration of Power Rangers. To show our support and celebrate in Ranger fan style, from July 7 - August 7 RangerCrew will hold an exclusive contest for fan-artists to showcase their own original and unique art based on Power Rangers Megaforce (http://www.samuraicast.com/megaforce/) (adapted from Tensou Sentai Goseiger). The art should recognize 20 years of Power Rangers, but primarily focus on Megaforce.

Rules:

1) Only submit one piece of art per day. You're not obligated to submit a piece of art EVERY day. We're not judging based on the amount of submissions, but on the creativity and quality

2) The contest is open to RangerCrew members ONLY! If you submit to us via Twitter or Facebook, it will be not be accepted

3) Banners, wallpapers, hand-drawn art, and comic strips (minimum of 2 pages), and digital art ONLY

4) Be respectful to the artist, and no bashing is allowed. If you're participating in the contest and is found bashing another artists work, it will result in automatic disqualification. No exceptions whatsoever

5) If your work is found to be the property of another artist, you will be disqualified

6) Each piece should have your signature (user name), for promotion purposes.


Dates:

1) Start date: Saturday, July 7th

2) End date: Tuesday, August 7th

3) Voting dates: August 8-10


The Winners:

There will be TWO winners! Winner 1 will receive recognition via Twitter promotion, a highlighted user name color showing that you won (similar to the highlighted mods), and special shoutout on the Samurai Cast (http://www.samuraicast.com/) site, which includes your work being featured in the gallery. Winner 2 will receive a shoutout on the Samurai Cast site, as well your work being featured in the gallery. *WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE WINNERS SATURDAY, AUGUST 11th*

There's one more added bonus from Samurai Cast. First place will win 2 Power Rangers Super Samurai DVDs. Second place will have their choice of one of the Super Samurai DVDs. For more information on the DVDs, check out the DVDs (http://www.samuraicast.com/dvd/prss-dvd.php) page on Samurai Cast.

We will leave this thread open for questions and comments. A new thread in the fanart forum will be opened where you will post your daily submissions. We would like to thank RangetCrew member Egallardo26 for making the fantastic "Fan Art" banner!

Wow! This is a pretty good contest for artists. Unfortunately for me, I'm no artist (not with the brush anyway, which is why I write). If this was a contest about fanfiction for Power Rangers Megaforce, I definitely would be all in. Nonetheless, I will be voting for the winners when that time comes, and I'm looking forward to seeing all of the art on this thread.

Yes, you can submit ONE piece of art per day. Tomorrow we will start the official thread where you will post your submissions in the Fanart forum: http://www.rangercrew.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?22-Fan-Art.

We will go over the voting process soon.
