Rules:

1) Only submit one piece of art per day

2) The contest is open to RangerCrew members ONLY! If you submit to us via Twitter or Facebook, it will be not be accepted.

3) Banners, wallpapers, hand-drawn art, and comic strips (minimum of 2 pages), and digital art ONLY

4) Be respectful to the artist, and no bashing is allowed. If you're participating in the contest and is found bashing another artists work, it will result in automatic disqualification. No exceptions whatsoever

5) If your work is found to be the property of another artist, you will be disqualified

6) Each piece should have your signature (user name), for promotion purposes.


Dates:

1) Start date: Saturday, July 7th

2) End date: Tuesday, August 7th

3) Voting dates: August 8-10


The Winners:

There will be TWO winners! Winner 1 will receive recognition via Twitter promotion, a highlighted user name color showing that you won (similar to the highlighted mods), and special shoutout on the Samurai Cast (http://www.samuraicast.com/) site, which includes your work being featured in the gallery. Winner 2 will receive a shoutout on the Samurai Cast site, as well your work being featured in the gallery. *WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE WINNERS SATURDAY, AUGUST 11th*

Alright, so here's my first entry for the fan art contest :)

MEGAFORCE IMAGE

Okay. So, here is my review of your artwork:

-The images of the Rangers look grainy. Same goes for the logo. You could have used clearer images (such as what you did for the contest).
-Despite this, I liked how Americanize they appear. In other words, they look like you took them from the official Power Rangers website.
-I would have aligned each Ranger according to their team pose (Yellow, Blue, Red, Black, and Pink instead of Red, Yellow, Blue, Pink, and Black).
-I liked the background color for each Ranger (including the Ranger's Megazord).

Overall, it's a decent start. It's very direct and to the point. I can imagine this on the front banner of this website come time for the premiere for Power Rangers Megaforce. Good work.

Okay. So, here is my review of your artwork:

- I wanted to find images from Goseiger that didn't have that Sentai feel, but I couldn't find any, so I took them from the Gokaiger 199 ending. But if I find any better images I could edit them in, if it's allowed.

- For the logo I used the one that was uploaded through Rangercrew, so if I can try and find a higher quality logo I'll change it, again if it's allowed.

- For the order, I went with a reverse order that the MMPR Morph into (Black-Pink-Blue-Yellow-Red)

Wow! Are you working with Saban Brands? lol I say that because the images of the Rangers really do look like they're from them.

Nonetheless, I like the collage you've decided to do for the wallpaper. Good job in editing out the "Gosei (Color)" from the Cards. I can imagine a wallpaper without the Red Rangers on the bottom of it because it looks like too much is going on. Either than that, there are no complains from me.

Hmm. It's a good attempt in making a wallpaper. With respect, there isn't anything spectacular about it. You have the Zords, Rangers, sky background, and logo. It's pretty standard.

(Yeah, I edited it afterwards because I thought I had it there. When I posted it on my twitter and tumblr and deviantart I said it was simple, and thought i put it here too, so that was my bad on my part and my comment wasn't needed.)

Anyway, it was originally this picture only without the zords, but I thought that was TOO simple. While I like it, I personally don't think it's all that great (but I am my worst critic) besides sticking the pictures together all I really did was add the clouds, the "shine" effect around the logo, and the little bits of splash of color on the logo as well.

^ Interesting take for the art contest. The only criticism I have is Megaforce Pink's color. When I first looked, I thought it look like the Red Ranger. If you perhaps could correct that in the future, this art would be awesome. I had to see the Phoenix on her helmet to figure it out. Girl Power is always a positive thing.

TheAusMan14 - Nice attempt on Megaforce Red. You should add color to see how the rest comes out. Otherwise, it looks incomplete.

I know I'm aware of the Dice-O website as I've used a few of their images for my newest fan-fiction and a Goseiger adaptation I've never posted (or at least not yet). At least for 2013, the match-ups go together extremely well. Nice work and hopefully you'll do more (maybe one with the Power Megazord and the Megaforce Megazord, switching the helmets of each team or changing the suits of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers so they have the Dino Thunder suits but still have their helmets from Mighty Morphin'). In other words, various design outlooks.

Just a thought, but again, great work.

^ Wow, kishiaku! This is incredible! I could imagine this drawn as a mural near the 20th Anniversary one in Los Angeles. I love the details on the henchmen (they look better here than in the series). Plus, I can feel the threat at hand, and the Ally (Red Power Ranger) coming with his Zord to save the Megaforce Rangers.

This is amazing and a work of art to remember for the upcoming season. I don't know if you have another art piece in store. If you don't, this is good enough.

3rd Submission!! Ok, so I have spent a ridiculous amount of my time working on this so I hope you guys really like it. Little Description...All the Goseigers (MegaForce Rangers) were hand drawn than scanned onto a computer into Illustrator where I used the pen tool to recreate it and add in the color. The same was done for the Gosei Symbol. For the Logo I found a font similar to PR and again I used the pen tool to create the words. The lightning bolt was done the same way. I used a gradient for the background and some special gradients to create the clouds. Then an outer Glow effect was added to the rangers. Like I said, I spent a ridiculous amount of time on this. Hope you guys like it. Lastly, sort of reminds me of a cover of a magazine or graphic novel. If anyone has any requests of something for me to draw and create I'd be more than happy to :)

Its hard finding a clear crisp picture of mmpr thats big enough to use as a wallpaper. Thats why I went with the movie pic. None of the pics I have were right.

Yeah I think I went alittle over with the texture and MMPR Black got lost in it. If I can find something better to work with then Ill redo it. Until then thats my entry.

Not really happy with how it turned out but man did it take a LONG time. All the drawings are single drawings than were put into photoshop. The cliff alone was drawn on 6 pieces of computer paper. Drew everything, I really wish I were a better artist because this would have turned out much more epic. Hope you guys enjoy it.
