On August 18, 2007, SPRC opened its doors to the public. Our original intention was to open on the 21st, but we were too excited to wait. :)

Within the first month, we rapidly grew to 500 members, which isn't half bad for a Power Rangers board. Over the months, we continued to grow with new cast members, features, and more. I have managed sites for over a decade, but this is my first forum. We faced great challenges and learned a lot to bring the board in its current state.

We would like to personally thank the following cast members for making this a great year:
Samuell Benta, Rhoda Montemayor, Gerald Urquhart, David Weatherley, Jessica Rey, Jason Smith, and Anna Hutchison.

A personal thanks goes to our mod team. They have worked hard to manage this fun and friendly board. Final and a HUGE thanks goes to our members. It's not a board with you guys! :)

We welcome you to Star Points Ranger Cast 2.0! In the recent weeks, you have noticed several changes and features being added, including our collection of smilies and avatars. Thanks to all of the members that have posted them.

In the next post, I will post the SPRC 2.0 Updates and Changes.

Mod Changes
Markus joins the RangerCast Mod (super moderators) team.
Mr. Silver and Lily_Fury_Ranger join the Mod Team.
Alexandra Tate is now the Lead Mod for RPG and Fanfic section
DarkBlaze is now the mod for General Discussion and Fan Art.
Anza Power leaves the mod team. We thank him for his great work and ideas this year.

New Banners
Markus has created 14 new SPRC 2.0 Birthday Banners.

Forum Changes
Entertainment forum is now merged with the OT forum.
RPG, Fanfics, and OT sections have gone through deep cleaning.

Smilies and Avatars
During the contest, several Smilies and Avatars were added. Thanks goes to BlueSenturion, Anza Power, and Markus for making these awesome graphics.

Layout System
We have completely changed the Layout System to make the board more customizable for our members. In the old system, we had 12 categories with over 133 templates. This was a lengthy and frustrating system to deal with. It would take a lot of time to add new styles based on the banner submissions plus members didn't get a chance to customize the color scheme based on their favorite banners. In the new system, you can select the Forum Skin and Forum Banner to make the board look and feel to your likings.

I am very proud of this system because it is my first vBulletin mod (feature) that I personally coded. I thought it would be ready in October timeframe, but I guess I got lucky today! :) You may have noticed that your skin has been resetted to the default. You can make changes in the User Panel:
User CP -> Edit Options -> change Forum Skin and Forum Banner.

Thanks goes to the members that submitted those banners. More color schemes are on the way, feel free to request your color choices.

That is awesome! SPRC 2.0 is great! And it feels great knowing that such a trustworthy member like Mr. Silver has finally become a mod! I have always loved, and I still will love, SPRC!

You are very welcome. It has been a priveldge working on here as one of the Mods and I am proud to be part of the Mod Team. This board has been my online home for a year now and I am thrilled to still be part of it. Big thank you for your trust and faith in both my abilities and the rest of the Mods as well.

Not only is tomorrow the board's anniversary but it is also the day I am able to get my name changed. i already decided to ask about changing i back to the one everybody knows me as-Hailey Hartford.

Wow. I can't believe it'll be one year tomorrow. And the day after that is the one year anniversary of when I joined. Time flies by so quickly.

The mod team has been awesome, in making this great forum the great forum that it is. I am sure that all of them, with the lucky new additions of Mr. Silver Lily_Fury_Ranger, this forum will be even better than before! SPRC 2.0 looks really awesome so far!

Cool, Happy birthday RangerCast, been an awesome year being here, I've registered here the first day it was created and don't doubt it I'll be here till the last.

Been a swell time serving as a mod at this board, just had some feeling recently that I just kinda wanna lay off the responsibility and pressure as a mod and me and FD agreed that my resignation would be part of 2.0.:)

Congrats to Markus and Alexanrda for the promotion, and special congrats to Silver and YFR for becoming new mods, good luck on your new jobs and try not to get excited with that big shiny delete button like I did when I was first assigned.:p lol

One year ago, on august 18th Starpoints Rangercast was offical online. A new board for Power Rangers Fans worldwide. The best on the board - you have / had the chance to chat with the cast of Operation Overdrive. Samuell Benta; Rhoda Montemayor; David Weatherley and Gerald Urquhard were the first cast of Power Rangers who loved to get contacted with the fans of the show. So up to now some time is gone and many great things happened - Operation Overdrive finished and opened the door to a brand new season - Jungle Fury!

All that time we got over 2,000 members in here --- 3,700 threads --- and almost 120,000 posts! So... all members, cast members and other mods - I think it is time to celebrate and wish SPRC the best for the future...

May the power protect us all!:)

I wish I stuck around longer earlier, but I don't see myself drifting from PR fandom anytime soon.

Everyone here is just so genuinely friendly. I couldn't ask for a better site.

I'm going to get incredibly sappy right now.

For the past 6 months, SPRC has been my online home, even if I wasn't around for half that time. I've been on many PR forums, but never one like SPRC. RangerTalk was too uptight; RangerBoard was too scary. But here on SPRC, all I feel is a deep sense of friendship and togetherness that one can only feel from a small group. Not that this board is small by any means, but you get my point, I hope. I think it's safe to say we're all pretty loyal to RangerCast. ;)

I've made a lot of friends here and I feel comfortable here. I can't say that about a lot of the other online communities I've joined. It's pretty easy to fit in and forge connections. I'm definitely here to stay. :)

After reading all the congrats from everyone on my new modship here I just wanted to personally thank everyone for the great and awesome congrats. I felt a very friendly connection when I first joined here about 6 months ago. I've made alot of great friends here. I will try to do my best on my new job here. Oh and Anza, thanks to my staff job in RangerTalk, the delete button isn't all that unfamiliar to me, so no worries LOL.
Anyway, Happy 1st Birthday to this wonderful Star Points Rangercast.

...So --- I think it is time that I say something to my new position in here...

I was very lazy this morning - cause I visted a good friend yesterday and we had a lot of fun. I woke up at 9 o'clock and started the computer... and then I upload the RC anniversary cake to my photobucket account and then I posted the whole 1 year anniversary stuff.... I noticed the banner I did some days before and I thought by myself - how great SPRC 2.0 looks!

....Then I scrolled down and I saw my username in violett.... first I thought it was a joke or something... but definitly it was true.

Thank you all for your kind words before --- I haven't got the chance to reply earlier -since my grandma also has birthday today^^ -

Man, I remember my small contribution to the creation of the site...the Cast Sightings sub-forum! Spawned from a post about me seeing James MacLurcan in a Magnum commercial in Greater Union. Next thing I know, a whole new sub-forum had appeared overnight!

Sorry for the late greeting...All can I say is Happy 1st Anniversary SPRC... wow one year had past since I joined and many members here are like my family and I even overwhelmed when I joined the Mod team...I feel that like I am trusted by this group of people and I had a chance to talk some of the Ranger stars and even Kevin (blue thunder ranger) greeted me on mine birthday....

What can I say... I love this site...
