There is an government-funded ad about NetAlert, a program (both computer & non-computer) about the protection & education of children on-line.

In the scene whilst the camera is panning from one room in a house to another room, as they stop on the last room before switching to a police sting operation command centre, the "kid" that is speaking is actually an adult who's posing as a child. Said adult is (whom I believe:question:) is Matt Austin.

I can't put up screenshots as I've never been lucky enough to be recording anything on TV when the ad shows, and my DVD/HDD Recorder takes it's damn sweet time reving up to do recording, so by the time it's ready the ad's finished.

EDIT; Note: This ad has only run on Australian TV as it is an Australian-made ad about an Australian program made for Australian families by the Australian Government.

Fox8 is one of the many channels on Foxtel/Austar for those who pay for the service. The most likely reason for its name was it's the 8th channel on Foxtel, ergo Fox8.

So I had to read this book in English and well this book is also a movie and Matt Austin is in it. I was watching it and said in my head 'That looks like Matt Austin'.When the credits ran I saw Matt Austin in it and I was like 'I was right.' The movie is called A Separate Peace. It was made in 2004 (a year before SPD).It was a Showtime movie.

Matt Austin (Power Rangers SPD) appears as a soldier named Kid in the movie Time Bomb.

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p319/justy93/TimeBomb.jpg

The movie will be available on DVD on July 1st, Courtesy of Peace Arch Entertainment. Here is the synopsis for the movie:

"Jason (Jake Busey) tragically lost his young son when their SUV exploded. Now fighting as a soldier in Iraq, the suicide bombings that occur around him on a daily basis constantly remind him of losing his son. An army scientist approaches Jason about an experimental virus that would create a squad of suicide bombers they could use against the enemy. Unsure if he has already been infected by the virus, Jason must struggle to decipher which explosions are real and which are all in his head.

Not really big on war movies, but I'll give it a chance since Matt AKA "Buttery" is in it.

It's on TVO in their kids programming block... you might want to check their website. I'm not sure what time it's on as I don't watch the channel normally. I caught it on a Saturday morning so you might want to check in on that channel every once in a while on Saturday mornings...

EDIT: I just checked my online TV guide and it's on Sundays now @ 11:30am. Also Mondays @ 5pm. There might be other times but I'm not sure. And I just realized I missed it an hour ago.

The TV guide description mentions sushi... I wonder if they made buttery sushi!

This hasn't been posted here?

A low-budget documentary about the late director John Hughes is set for international release after its rights were bought, reports say.
Trade magazine Variety said Alliance Films of Montreal agreed the deal shortly after the news broke of the film-maker's death last week.
Directed by actor and film-maker Matt Austin-Sadowski, Don't You Forget About Me takes a look at Hughes' life.
The title comes from the Simple Minds song featured in The Breakfast Club.

Hughes, who died at the age of 59, made hit teen movies such as Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Home Alone and Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
Austin-Sadowski, who starred in the Power Rangers: SPD TV series, said Hughes' films had a huge impact on him when he was in school.
"He inspired me as a person, going through an awkward adolescence, as many people do," he told Variety.

"He took affairs of the heart very seriously, and no other director gave teenagers that sort of treatment at that time."

The film was made before Hughes' death and Austin-Sadowski said he is hoping it will boost people's interests in the director's films.
"That's what's important to us. It's not the deal. It's not more exposure for us," he said.

Actors who participated in the documentary included Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Mia Sara, Kelly LeBrock and Andrew McCarthy.
Molly Ringwald, who found fame in Hughes' The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink, refused to take part in the project.

As a wise man once said, one door closes, and a new movie opens. In other words, expect new films about Michael Jackson and John Hughes -- very shortly.

Late Monday, within hours of a court approval that paved the way for new footage of Jackson to reach the big screen, Sony Pictures Entertainment released details on a film called "This Is It," which will open Oct. 30, according to the Los Angeles Times. Just when you're wondering how Sony will tiptoe around such a sensitive situation, it turns out, well, it won't. Portions of the film -- from rehearsals and backstage preparations for Jackson's "This Is It" tour -- will be released in 3-D.

As for Hughes, Alliance Films has agreed to distribute "Don't You Forget About Me," a documentary directed by Matt Austin-Sadowski, a former actor whose biggest credit was playing the Green Ranger on the "Power Rangers" TV series. His film, which had been in the works for years, was looking for a buyer. The morning after Hughes died, Alliance made Austin-Sadowski an offer, Variety reported. There is no release date yet, but the film includes interviews with Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Andrew McCarthy, and Simple Minds, whose song "Don't You (Forget About Me)" was immortalized by "The Breakfast Club."

tis true, but even so, why are we still talking about Michael Jackson, John Hughes was recent, but Michael is a while ago. He was a good artist, but it's done and over...

...Oh god why? Does he at least do the "buttery" mannerism a minimum of once per episode? Not necessarily in reference to butter, but maybe something sour/spicy/tangy, etc.

HenshinRider
08-04-2010, 11:47 PM
What buttery reference? It was only in the SPD footage.

IronRanger
08-05-2010, 10:59 AM
That's what I'm asking about. I assume this show's run has been after SPD, right? So the "buttery reference" hand motion could be used. What I was saying that he could do the hand motion not just when talking about butter/buttery tastes, but even "spicy, salty, soury, tangy", etc, all kinds of tastes. Just as long as he does the hand motion.

Yeah, it was 2008.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0042468/

And I see he played an attendant in Desperate Housewives - the episode is called The Glamorous Life.
And also a Secret Service Agent in Aaron Stone's finale Mutant Rain part 2.
