Yeah i heard about this one the rumour is true apparently the 2010 Rider is known as Kamen Rider W (Ziew, i think, in german). And it's not going to be like heisei have been doing so far in face they're going back to the original showa rider style but who knows it's still early days.

-W may start as early as September 6th, though this date is not confirmed. If it does start this early, it disproves the idea of new Den-O tv show, but it does not disprove the rumored Cho Den-O Movie Series

-August 15th and 23rd seem to be confirmed filming dates for W

-W has an insect motif, most likely a grasshopper. He resembles Kikaider, in the sense that his right and left sides are differently colored. His right side is red, and his left side is green. Each side has a different character/personality.

-W is transformed from 2 people, who combine to form the rider. Their names are Shotarou and Phillip

-W's henshin device is a USB which is inserted into his belt to transform him. Has a gimmick known as the "Treasure Gaost" which allows him to change forms.

-Has the ability to change forms. These forms are activated by the "Joker Memories". USB keys that activate different forms. 3 of these forms are known as "Luna Joker", "Cyclone Joker" and "Heat Joker".

-Kamen Rider W Cyclone Joker is Black and Green in coloring.


-W transforms into Heat Joker in the Decade Movie.

-W has a both a motorcycle and a car.

-W aims to be the "Number 1 Rider" of the Second Half of Hesei Riders.


-Seems to have a relation to ShadowMoon. When Decade is cornered by him in the movie, W shows up to save him

-Keywords having to do with W are "Wind", "2 People" and "Clan"

-Broadcasting is rumored to start on 9/6

-8/15 to 8/23 have been listed as filming dates for the show


-His enemies are much closer to the sentai variety- a group of villains that stay a constant from the beginning of the series

If it wasn't stated already, the title can be read as "Kamen Rider W" or "Kamen Rider Double".


As for the sentai '10 rumor, I bring our first insect rumor of the year, though this one is a bit more on the reliable side than others:


-A rumor posted states the motif for next year's sentai is "Insect + Train." The team, of 3, will have mecha that first appear as a train. The train cars can then split up, transform into insects, and recombine into the robot. This mecha idea has been compared to the Divers Team from Mightgaine.

-Insects that have been rumored to be used are a Beetle, a Mantis, and a Butterfly. Stag Beetle and Grasshopper were also mentioned. Arachnids, specifically spider and scorpion are rumored to act as auxilary mechs.

-There is a corresponding rumor that suggests each insect mecha has a spring-based weapon (for ex- a stag beetle's horns snapping forward.) There seems to be a suggestion that the mecha will be able to fight each other, playing on the old tradition of catching beetles and having them fight which inspired Pokemon, and a lot of other things.


Please take the above with a grain of salt. It's very early, though the main thread of the rumor (train + insect) seems to be a recurring bit of information, from a bunch of posts. The specifics may not be true at all, but I think there's a good chance that at least the motif has a shot at being proven true.

So according to new info, each side of W will be able to undergo form changes. This allows for the different colored sides to be swapped out with each other, and for W to mix and match the attributes that are best suited for the battle he's in. If I had to guess, the right side of the body controls the attack/power, while the left side control what weapon he uses:


On the right side of the body:

Cyclone (Green)

Heat (Red)

Luna (Yellow)


On the left side of the body:

Joker (Black)

Metal (Silver)

Trigger (Blue)




As stated before, W's base form will be Cyclone Joker (Green/Black). The other form changes will be named accordingingly, right side name, then left.

-W's belt is complex in design, resembling Kamen Rider G's bottle-opener belt a little. The belt has a slot in which the different Memories (USB Keys) are inserted to change forms. Each memory is marked by a letter designating that specific form (C, J, L, T, H, M).

-W's main weapons will be two double swords, one called the Justice Sword, and the other, the Freedom sword. They each belong to Shotaro and Phillip, respectively.

-W Cyclone Joker (Green/Black) will use the double swords as weapons

-W Heat Metal (Red/Silver) will use a Spear Weapon

-W Luna Trigger (Yellow/Blue) will use a Gun




Story Rumors:

-The "2 Riders" (Shotaro and Phillip) seem to be candidates for being the "fiance" of the "Majin Family", who are W's enemies

-Phillip is a genius, who solves something important about the ongoing events

-This solution involves the "3 Keywords", and probably has to do with W's powers

-Shotaro and Phillip are both detectives, who live in the Wind Capital of Virtual City.

Confirmed rumors:


-Shotaro and Phillip will be detectives. The series will begin with a number of episodes in which they investigate different crimes. These crimes lead them to the discovery of their enemy (sort of Kuuga/Agito-esque)

-They do work/live in the "Wind Capital" (the name of the city is not a sure thing yet, but it will be a fabricated city, perhaps set in a near-future type setting.)


-Their Police Captain will be played by Terada Nou, whose been in a lot of stuff, including a couple of Ultraman series as guest roles

DX DoubleDriver:

W's belt. Comes with 4 Gaia Memories. These include Cyclone Memory, Joker Memory, Luna Memory and Heat Memory.



DX Metal Shaft:

Weapon used when activating the Metal Memory (Heat Metal, etc.) As such, it comes with the Metal Memory.



DX Trigger Magnum:

Weapon used when activating the Trigger Memory. (Luna Trigger, etc.) As such, it comes with the Luna Memory.




Memory Gadget Series:

The following are "spy gadgets" powered by the Gaia Memories.

-Stag Phone transforms from a Stag Beetle into a Cell Phone.

-Spider Shock transforms from a Spider into a Clock

-Bat Shot transforms from a Bat into a Camera



WFC Series:

3 figures (CycloneJoker, HeatMetal and LunaTrigger) which are in the same size as the FFR form ride series. The figures can be split in two, and swapped with each other to form the other 6 Double Forms.




RiboCarry:


The RiboCarry will act as W's base. It is in the make of a giant, black grasshopper/hovercraft. From the base, W can launch his motorcycle. The motorcycle has 3 modes, one that we have already seen (Black/Green for CycloneJoker), a mode with red wings (for Heat Metal) and an as-of-yet undiscribed blue Mode (for Luna Trigger). The alternate, back parts of the motorcycle are stored in a "fan" at the back, where they can be swapped out during the bike's launch. The bike itself launches from the head/front.

Episode Summary:


This will be the thread where I post the W summaries, as you are aware. It'll also where I post info, and rumors on the show, and hopefully I can keep most of it on the first post. Here goes what we have so far, and it isn't much, for the month of September:




Episode 1:
Title- "W no Factor" (The Double Factor)
Airs- 9/6/09

Summary-

In the Wind Capital, a detective, Hidari Shotaro, has an unpleasant woman visit his office, named Akiko.
Obviously younger than him, Akiko goes on to reveal a certificate that claims to make her, in charge of him. Apparently, Akiko is the daughter of Shotaro's captain, Narumi.

Then, another woman appears, saving Shotaro's skin. The second woman is a client, and happens to be Shotaro's elementary school friend Marina. Marina wishes to hire Shotaro to find Togaway, her lover who has gone missing.

Accepting, partially to help his friend, and partially to get away from Akiko, Shotaro heads to where Togawa used to work. There Shotaro finds out from a fellow detective that mysterious goings-on in the building have said to be linked with the Dopant, the mysterious monsters plaguing the city.

As such, Shotaro requests help from his partner, Philip, who has yet to arrive on the scene. By transmistting to him a picture, Philip is able to use 3 keywords- "High Temperature", "Ground" and "Movement", to perform a "Super-Retrieval" within in his own brain, which acts like a super-computer. Having located the site, Shotaro, and Akiko, end up investigating it, and likewise, get attacked.


Then, Shotaro, are Philip, are informed that they have something known as the "W no Factor". This Factor allows them to become Kamen Rider W, and the first of the Gaia Memories is activated...

An active private detective, who considers himself "Hard-Boiled", even though it's more like he's "Half-Boiled". He has an affinity for 70's clothing and culture. Has a great deal of anger towards the Dopant, who attacks the people of his city. Together with Philip, he transforms into Kamen Rider W to fight them.



PHILIP:

played by Suda Masaki

Mysterious, and genius, young man. He escaped from a villain's secret hideout with the Gaia Memories, and is usually found in a garage, keeping to himself, as a "desk detective." His brain has the ability to access the "Hoshi no Hondana" ,(Bookshelves of Earth), which can access relative information on the current crime. (Hoshi is also "suspect" in police slang.) When he is needed however, he doesn't hesitate to show up in person.





KAMEN RIDER W CYCLONE JOKER:

When Philip sets the Cyclone Gaia Memory into his Double Driver, and Shotaro sets his Joker Gaia Memory into his Double Driver, their souls and bodies fuse producing Kamen Rider W (Cyclone Joker). Cyclone Joker is W's base form, accomplished by this "Double Henshin." It is W's most balanced form, but does not have any weaponry. Instead, he is known as the "Subayai Waza no Senshi" (Quick Technique Warrior), as the Cyclone Memory allows him to carry out attacks with blinding speed, as quickly as the wind. Different Gaia Memories can be swapped out for either side, allowing W to achieved different forms.


The CYCLONE SIDE is known as the "Senpuu no Migi Hanshin" (Whirlwind of the Body's Right Side). It's powers are speed based, and it increases the natural speed of the other "Soul Side" of the body, to its utmost ability.

The JOKER SIDE is known as the "Kirifuda no Hidari Hanshin" (Trump Card of the Body's Left Side). Joker Side is mostly used as a finishing technique, as its grappling power is incredible, increasing the other sides' attack by about 6 times, and also allowing for W to perform an amazing kick.



CYCLONE JOKER STATS:

Height- 195 cm

Weight- 85 kg

Punching Power- 2.5 t

Kicking Power- 6 t

Jumping Power- 60 m in 1 leap

Speed- 100 meters in 5.2 seconds

KAMEN RIDER W HEAT METAL:

When Philip sets the Heat Gaia Memory into his Double Driver, and Shotaro sets his Metal Gaia Memory into his Double Driver, their souls and bodies fuse producing Kamen Rider W (Heat Metal). In this form, he is known as the "Netsuki Kairiki Senshi." (Hot Super Human Strength Soldier) His weapon is the "Metal Shaft", a hard-hitting bo staff weapon that can only be used when "Metal" is activated. He is second-most balanced form, next to Cyclone Joker.


The HEAT SIDE is known as the "Netsuki no Migi Hanshin" (Heat of the Body's Right Side). Heat is summoned up from the Heat Memory, which contains the "Netsu no Kioku." It's powers "Heat Up" W, increasing his fighting ability several times, which in turn, amplifies the abilities of the opposite side.

The METAL SIDE is known as the "Toushi no Hidari Hanshin" (Warrior of the Body's Left Side). Metal is summoned up from the Metal Memory, which contains the "Koutetsu no Kioku." It's powers increase the muscular structure of W, giving him a body of steel, and terrific physical power and fighting skills.

She gets involved with the agency when informtation about/correspondence with her father becomes non-existent. She often acts bizarre and views every situation as being "black and white." She has a habit of saying, "Watashi, kiitenai" (essentially, I'm not listening.)



WATCHERMAN:

played by Nasubi

A snitch that Shotaro uses to get information. His real name is unknown, but it seems he is a blogger, and takes pride in that fact.



JINNO MIKIO:

played by Nadagi Takeshi

A detective who works in solving Dopant-related crimes. His partner is Makura Shun. Mikio has known Shotaro since he was a kid, but doesn't realize that Shotaro is part of Kamen Rider W. He and Shotaro often exchange information on the Dopant crimes to help solve cases.




MAKURA SHUN:

played by Nakagawa Shingo

Mikio's partner and subordinate. He is pleasant enough, but has some reservations about Shotaro's abilities as a detective.




SONOZAKI RYUUBEE:

played by Terada Minori

Head of the Sonozaki Family, an evil crime family that has a large control over the city of Fuuto. Sells different Gaia Memories to men, transforming them into monsters. He happens to be a man who has aged rather gracefully, and has a front running a museum.



SONOZAKI SAEKO:

played by Namai Ami

Member of the Sonozaki Family. The president of a rising IT company.



SONOZAKI WAKANA:

played by Asuka Rin

Member of the Sonozaki Family. College Talent who has her own radio show.



MIKU:

Sonozaki Family's cat.




SUDOU KIRIHIKO:

played by Kimisawa Yuuki

The Sonozaki Family's salesman of Gaia Memories to different criminals. He is their highest grossing salesman, and is engaged to Saeko.

Nah, i doubt it, cause Decade is an anniversary series, so this would possibly mean Double will either finish with Shinkenger or during the run of the unconfirmed Starranger.

Movie rumors:


The afformentioned "Kamen Rider Zero", if that's what it will be called, will not be out till next year. According to rumor, the following rider movies are set to release:


-This December, will be "Kamen Rider W and Decade" (which may serve as the yearly W movie.)

-Next Spring will be "Kamen Rider Cho Den-O 2" (possibly Den-O and W, though it may just be a den-o solo movie)

-Then, next fall/winter, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Kamen Rider, we are rumored to get "Kamen Rider Zero", though I have a feeling it will be called something different by that point.




On the note of that gashapon with both a Decade and Ichigo Memory, it's very possible they tie into the Decade and W movie, as I believe it says those are able to work with the DoubleDriver. (The end of the year would kick of the 40th anniversary of Kamen Rider, mentioned above.)


There was no mentioning if W will have a movie all to his own though. We'll see. More as it comes, and remember, please take this all with a grain of a salt. Maybe two grains.
