Got a copy infringment letter from my isp today, apparently Toai tracked shinkenger 30 from TV Nihon and ordered a cease and decicist. Fired back with a question on "are fan subs ok or not, please check."

Toei doesn't want episodes subbed? Took them long enough to notice that. They need to know that there are fans who can't read japanese and want to know what the characters are saying.

Well this is BS, how else are us westerners supposed to enjoy Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, and the like when they won't release region 1 subbed dvds.

Kinda ridiculous they would crack down on this all of a sudden like this, especially considering that fan subbers expose their product to a much larger fan base than they do. Which in turn makes them money since more people are buying the toys. I would understand if they sold DVDs that we could play, but they don't so I fail to see why this would be harming them at all.

Whatever their reasoning behind this was it won't really effect me, I always take precautions downloading anything these days. Wouldn't want the RIAA, MPAA, or any other extortion group going after me.

They started cracking down on youtube a while ago and I'm not suprised they are now going after TVN, but they have taken their time about it. The question is, why only that file? I'm guessing you've downloaded more eps than that before using their tracker, maybe there was a tipoff about that ep.

If you want the eps, try using direct downloads, they are hard to track especially if they aren't labled and are in different parts. That's how I download now, no torrents for me.
