Could Dark Specter have withstood the Z-Wave?

In CD2D, what do you think would've happened if Dark Specter was not destroyed before the end of the invasion? what would've happened when the Z-Wave had reached him? could he have stopped it or maybe he would stop it but it'll weaken him alot giving the Space Rangers a fighting chance against him and the rebels from the different planets a chance to stand against the invasion army...

    Thoughts?

I think he would have survived. He'd been draining Zordon's powers for the better part of a year, I doubt that the Z-Wave would be able to successfully neutralize him. It probably would have taken care of the rest of the invasion, leaving the Space Rangers, Alien Rangers, Trey, Phantom Ranger, Blue Senturion and Justin to finish the job and defeat Dark Spectre instead.

Most likely, no. But hey, if just about every villain up to that point got hit and turned good, something might've happen to Dark Specter.

If he was far away from somewhere on some other task, then yeah he would survive

More directly, Zordon's life energy was almost all converted to Dark Specter at that point. Remember how red his tube was? Had Andros shattered it then, there wouldn't have been enough of Zordon left in it to do any good! It might've just cut DS off from the Big Z's energy, but it surely wouldn't have had the same effect that shattering it after Zordon regained full power.

He would probably have been weakened significantly, which would have been easy pickings for the Astro Rangers

    Wouldn't it neutralize though?

As you said: He'd been draining Zordon's powers for the better part of a year...

When the Z wave was expelled, it either purified or destroyed evil based upon the villain.

Which makes one wonder why siphoning from the tube, as Spectre did, did not turn him good or destroy him to begin with.

I read somewhere that the original plans for Forever Red were to have some aliens trying to resurrect Dark Spectre. But since that super missile destroyed him, I doubt he could've survived the Z-wave. I was hoping for a Dark Spectre vs Megazord battle, but oh well.

IMO even if Dark Specter did drain his powers the Z-Wave would've still been the same...
