It wasn't, it was pretty much a TV movie, got confirmation by William Winckler himself on Facebook. Sadly he also confirmed only Toei have the rights to released any of the dubs he's produced for them overseas.

I suppose I should be happy that Xros Wars is finally being dubbed...despite the fact I've already watched all 79 episodes subtitled.

Now if only we could get uncut re-dubs of Seasons/Series 1-5, and also get a new Digimon series in 2013.

Nice, Xtros Wars it was cool Digimon Season and have pretty cool storyarcs and I always liked much of the Digimon Enviromment they created for this season.

One thing that should be kept in mind is that Namco Bandai only has a few properties they can really focus on at one time. For 2013, most of their attention in animation seems to be in support of the new Pac-Man cartoon on Disney XD. They would not want to have a new Digimon anime dub on the air without a toy program to support it IMO, the same way Konami does for Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal with the trading cards.

Who says the toyline wouldn't be out by the time the show is? Xros Wars is still in pre-production, it might not air until 2014 anyway.

Digimon Xros Wars, like Digimon Savers before it, will be undergoing a title change for the English dub. From page 78 of the TV Kids Distributors Guide, the new title will be Digimon Fusion. It seems incredibly likely it will be going to the Vortexx on the CW IMO. Now it's a question of when it will premiere, and what time slot will the show be given on the Vortexx.

There's a Yu-Gi-Oh! repeat on the Vortexx currently isn't there? Perhaps it'll replace that.
