i thought it was ok i know i like the green rancher!!!!!!!!! he is so cute
I loved the 1st episode "The Team Unites"!
Firstly, it's time to rejoice, PR is back with a bang!!
It was a pretty cool episode.. I loved the "zord-suits" of the rangers because they were different from the routine..
Plus the miniature zords that crawled around was quite interesting...
And moreover Mike is my most favourite of the lot, as of now, so I was cool with the episode..
Yes, I do agree that lots of questions are to be answered...
like - how did they get to the academy?
how did they get their powers ?
and so on...
But I think we should just wait for the next episodes and flashbacks...
And because we were all waiting for Samurai since a long time, after all that things about PR ending were doing the rounds and all,
maybe we expected too much..
Anyways, Let's hope for the best now...
GO GO POWER RANGERS!!!
It as Great Start for the Return of the Power Rangers and Saban too.
I finally decided to watch the "first" episode of Power Rangers Samurai (airing wise anyways) after seeing Jayden's Challenge and thinking the series didn't deserve the scorn it was recieving well this episode was umm bad.
.The Bulk and Spike scene was completely out of place. It's clear that Tzachor doesn't want Bulk in the show at and is just shoehorning him. It's a very weak attempt to please the old fans Saban is partially banking on.
.The characters are really thin. Yeah the characterization in Power Rangers is always weak but at least you can tell what the characters are suppose to be, right from episode one usually. Like in Mighty Morphin. Jason is the leader, Zack is the goofy one, Billy is the smart one, Trini is the serene one and Kimberly is the girly one. You knew that with Day in the Dumpster. But in this? Jayden is the leader and Mike is the ummm introverted one? I guess? Mia and Kevin were complete blank slates with no sort of characterization or even cookie cutter personalities. I'm guessing Emily is the dumb blonde but that seems to be going off more of how the actress delivers some of her lines then what they might of been aiming for. I really hope these characters develop
.Right now the villains are some of the most boring Power Rangers villains this side of Operation Overdrive. Hopefully they get better
. The plot was just weak. I guess its suppose to be how Mike's lack of confidence or wanting to better himself but there didn't seem to be any relevation it was just point A to Point C without reaching Point B.
All in all I give this episode a D+
Having watched this a few days ago, I don't think it was a bad episode overall ut it wasn't the right episode to air first as the audience were just thrown into the story without knowing the basic plot and that meant it was hard to get into what was going on. I don't know why they decided to leave the origin out.
On a few positive notes, the new group do seem likeable for the most part, the monster made for an interesting foe, it was great to see Bulk again and it did feel like MMPR at times. I'll give it a 7/10.

Well the Samurai Origins for shore will be show in the Summer or maybe will be the last episodes of the PR Samurai Season 1
-I really liked Mike's two friends. I think they would have been better comic relief characters than Bulk and Spike.
-The Mike angst was needed in terms of advancing his character but this being the first episode aired was an odd choice IMO.
-The ending scene came out natural. The Saved By The Bell high-five was a nice touch.
-Three episodes in and I'm hoping for unmorphed fight scenes in the future.
I did kind of find it unusual to kick off the series with a standalone episode.
