If this was for the morphing sequences, John Tui wasn't back on set yet, because Magishine's counterpart Solaris Knight/Daggeron is the sixth ranger. This of course is also why Koragg/Wolf Warrior (Wolzard) is missing - Koragg only appeared in civilian form late in the season. There's no reason for Jenji (Smokey) to even be there, even if Daggeron was. Maybe Nick was filming at the time.
I have a feeling Xander's wearing Blue Screen Blue, I;ve been thinking over so may complicated ways it would be that blue till it dawned on me, Green Screen provides much better results than Blue screen, but if you want to film anything a similar Green on a Green screen problems arise so the answer, make a ranger suit in blue screen blue and change it in post production too XD
My guesses are this is the scene near the end, where Red is fully morphed but the others are helmetless, hence why the master is there , that scene will always stick in my head because I loved it so much in Magiranger.

Xander as Blue haha, I get it though, and Gokai Green the stunt double does look like Vida the nailed that one, I'm just curios as to why the monster has his hand all around Madie/Melanie's body???
