No Longer World Champs...
Here's a topic I'm surprised no one has brought up yet: Samurai is the first Power Rangers season with no Yellow Ranger.

The Beetle Disc training scenes are great. We get to see Ji acting more as a mentor in this episode.
Really good start to the episode. Not as awkward as the starts to the first two episodes. Bulk and Spikes clips in this episode weren't really out of place and were pretty good, so no complaints there. Jayden was also great in this episode. It was nice to see how hard he was training. He pushes himself way more than some of the recent red rangers we have seen. Overall, great episode.
Heh heh, I loved that Dreadlock sounded like a Redneck and is it me, or did Squid guy sound like Piglet in this episode? And poor Ji, being refer to as 'The Mentor'. I guess he's not a person now.
it was good. i like the new zord's names- Beetlezord and Beetle Blaster Megazord..
anyways, i think the Rangers should meet Bulk & Spike IMO
I enjoyed Alex's acting in this episode. His scenes did great justice to his Shinkenger counterpart.
I think eventually they might. Spike's profile states he has a crush on mia...sooooo yeah

Another good episode. I'm beginning to understand the standard we can expect from Samurai, and I'm feeling it. It's not outstanding, and I'm fairly certain it's not going to top or overtake any of my favorite seasons such as RPM, Time Force, or Lost Galaxy, but for what it is, I'm liking it.
--I liked having Jayden stay behind. It makes his "know-it-all" attitude in the last couple episodes much more understandable.
--I'm continuing to like Kevin's character. Good to see him acknowledge that maybe this day off is a test from Mentor.
--Anyone else notice that the Bulk & Spike cotton candy scene was a throwback to the MMPR Bulk & Skull cotton candy scene?
--I was almost certain Spike was going to try and give that panda bear to Mia.
--The cheesy lines aren't so bad for the most part, but "Next time use less...because I'm useless"...dear lord, that's just terrible.
--Hey, there's Mentor, mentoring! That's his secondary job, after being the house chef, you know.
--LMAO at the random dude next to Jayden on the coaster.
I'm starting to come to the idiotic conclusion that Ji's name is actually Mentor. The episode descriptions refer to him as that, and the Rangers did today. As dumb as it is, this dude's first name is Mentor. And his last name is Ji. Who the hell names their son Mentor?
So am I the only who noticed they call the Hidden Disks ""Power Disks"? Very clever way to page homage to the "Power Coins"
Great Episode 3 by far the best Episode so far
