I still can't believe they brought Ann Marie Crouch (Princess Shayla) back to play Princess Megan. Between that, Ricardo Medina's return, and the terrible acting, how much more Wild Force homage can we possibly expect?***

I stopped watching. It just felt so wrong to me. Just wasn't well written. And, Brittney Pirtle's acting (mostly in the beginning) was poor to me. So the rangers just got their powers from their older siblings. Will we evr get to see the "Lost Episode" of Power Rangers Samurai !?

I thought the episode was just "good". I like the role Bulk and Spike played in todays episode, it was good and an improvement. I also didn't mind the acting this time. The part I didn't like was Emily's back story with her sick sister. I didn't like it in Shinkenger and I don't like it here. Although, I love seeing hot girls who are clumsy as hell so I loved the first part of the episode.

The last problem I had with this episode was when Mike said he was trying to be better than Jayden. That was kind of random since I don't think they said anything about that earlier this season.

Best episode so far! Was interesting to see that Emily's big sister was the Yellow Samurai Ranger before her and that there were she got sick.

OMG at Bulk & Spike making not 1, not 2, but 3 appearances in the episode. I'm assuming that there little clash with the kendo sticks from the opening was a nod to the reversioning.

Oh and they finally SHOWED us as opposed to just telling us!

There's a bit more I have to say but I have to watch the episode again LOL!

I'm hearing that episode 10 is when we'll get our origin story.

I didn't notice that in the first three episodes either. Chiaki did in shinkenger, he kept saying that he wanted to do better than Takeru. But when Mike said it, it was random. I love the part where Emily played the flute, it sounded so beautiful. They need to come up with a better name for their elemental kanji attacks, simple (what's it called) doesn't cut it for me. But all in all I thought the episode was good. The nighlok kept mentioning Jayden's secret. But he hasn't told the other rangers what it is yet. I'm sure he will ep 9. Are you guys sure that Anne marie is playing as princess Megan, I thought that was rumor.

I'm sure the next episode will be even better. I hope.

The episode was okay. I admit that it is probably the lowest quality episode this season. Rather than story, we saw full morphs and full zord calling taking up time in this episode.

Brittany portrays the Emily character with a nice youthful spirit. The first and last scenes were simply adorable. The scene with her past was pretty good. It was great to see some character background.

The "Ice Cream" ending may have been too much...but it's a kid's show.

All my worries about this episode came to fruition. But hey, at least we got to know Emily, right? Except for the fact that her character is so annoying, I wish she would've remained a nobody.

--The entire beginning scene was just bad. It seemed so dysfunctional and out of place. Emily is a klutz who is down on herself? OK, that came out of nowhere. We never got any glimpses in the past of her being klutzy & screwy. She looked perfectly normal. Now she's a klutz slipping around on the floor? And could they please lessen up on Emily being so down on herself? "I can't do anything right. All I do is screw up. What's wrong with me. Everything I do, I F up. I'm hopeless and worthless." She came off as nutjob on depressants at times.

--The writers must've been giddy when they were handed Negatron's character. His insults were terrible and did a great job of embarrassing the show. And that was the fear I had going into this episode. Other people reassured me that Sentai used the fears of other people, and pulled it off nicely. Well this is a great example of how Samurai IS NOT Shinkenger. Because Samurai butchered it beyond words.

--Brittany's acting really stunk up the episode more than I had hoped. I have to rewatch the episode, but her acting may have been the reason for so many dysfunctional, awkward scenes.

--Bulk & Spike were very entertaining in this episode. They need to be used more like that.

--I did enjoy the scene where the Rangers pretend that they do enjoy Mia's cooking, and pretend that Kevin isn't boring. I laughed. And it was all good, until, you know, Emily goes off on her depressants again.

--Also enjoyed the flashback scene to Emily's past. Even though her sister's coughing was downright TERRIBLE.

All in all...not a very good episode. Samurai is now 2 for 2 on good episodes, and borderline crap. But even though we're still 50% OK, it doesn't feel like that. The show just doesn't feel right, and neither does the direction it's headed in. I stand by my statement that Samurai is still just a mediocre season, but it's got a lot of work to do if it intends on not being in the bottom 3 PR seasons. I know we're only 4 episodes into the season...but I'd lie if I said that I wasn't already looking forward to next year, the potential Goseiger adaption.

Yeah, see...that's why I did it.

Man Brittney's acting in this episode sounded force. And ugh, those Morphing and Folding Zord sequences reek of padding. And what's with Xandred saying even Gyoo (Her names Gyoo now apparently) can make him mad and Mike saying he wants to be stronger than Jayden (Before somebody says anything, I've already seen Shinkenger but because those previous episdoes didn't included those nuggets, it doesn't make sense here)? And while I like the MotDs this season, I've been 1st Graders sling better insults. I'm giving this episode a Poor. The only reason it's not getting a Terrible is because Bulk's and Spike's subplot had a Beginning, Middle 'n End. I wish they'd used those Morphing and Zord scenes for Bulk and Spike to confront Negatron.
