watched everything that existed subbed of Megaranger (up to #26 + #38) and moved it from Watching to Paused status. I hope TV-Nihon will finish it soon, it was so awesome!!!!
I will watch the subbed episodes of Gingaman now alongside Agito
glad you like Megaranger!![]()
Finished Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon! What an amazing show. Mamoru FTW lol. Now i'm gonna watch Tomica Rescue Force.
go ahead, Alex! i hope you will like Rescue Force! it's a good show
Tried Sailor Moon, couldn't get past the acting, even if Ibuki is Tuxedo Kamen.
Force is by far one of the greatest Toku there is, enjoy.
^well, for most of the main actors, PGSM was only their first ever acting role, so considering the circumstances, it's understandable and I didn't mind the wooden acting in PSGM...although I thought Izumi Rika (Sailor Mercury) & Kitagawa Keiko (Sailor Mars) were among the better actors in PGSM.
For most actors who appeared or had starring roles in Toku, it was their first stepping stone into showbiz, hence for a lot of these actors who had debut in Toku, it was their first ever acting role. This is why the acting in Tokus usually are very mediocre (sometimes bad) & not up to par with the acting standards in many other kinds of Japanese productions. While actors who had prior acting experience typically are among the better actors in Toku, for most of the other young actors, they were very inexperienced. Tokus are typically known to be the first stepping stone into showbiz for a lot of young aspiring actors, so I usually let slide the acting from these actors...but needless to say, many of these actors have improved since their days in Toku.
But PGSM as a whole was just way too cheesy for me, I barely managed to finish the whole series but I certainly won't be able to handle another go. But I'm glad I did watch it though, because from it I discovered Izumi Rika, who I like very much.

I have a friend who really liked it, and I liked the idea of Dark Mercury, so I tried. Granted, that was a Dark Mercury episode, because I was playing her on a Toku RPG for one of my characters, so I just jumped in at 20-something. The acting was one thing, but yeah, I forgot how cheesy it was. I can deal with bad acting sometimes, but it was the cheesiness, definitely.
