If they accepted the deal from the Nets, they would have to pay a ton of money for Lopez and Humphries(neither are great players) and they would lose all flexibility in rebuilding their team.
Oh, it is bad. This deal only looks good if they go by the Denver model. Not only, they will be in the 2013 free agent class but it is the worst class in the last few years with Paul, Bynum, Howard as the only superstar free agents (whom will most likely re-sign with bird rights for extra $$$) then Harden, Ibaka as RFAs (OKC will most likely keep both and sacrifice Perkins).

To make things worse, It's being reported that Orlando insisted on getting Affalo because they see him as a future star which is hilarious considering he's 26 and not even a Top 25 player. They also get protected picks that will be mid-first draft picks in an upcoming weak draft.

Best thing is, collect pieces like Denver and have a deep rotation of high end role players because they will have zero success in the draft. None of the first round picks are even Top 5 protected either.

NBA Live also has a new trailer out:

The first thought that came to my mind when watching this trailer was just how dated it looked. I think EA should have just never returned to making NBA games. EA clearly has never learned why NBA 2k was/is so much better than them. 2K focuses on the actual gameplay, but all that EA seems to care about is the presentation(to the point where it seems that they don't even care about gameplay).

    Knicks Update:

The Knicks have been looking for a veteran big man to finish off their roster. They have recently worked out Rasheed Wallace. Wallace would be a good option as a solid back up PF. He has a good relationship with coach Woodson and he has always been considered a good defender, plus he has the ability to hit the 3(opening up the paint more for Amare and Melo).

In other Knicks news, Baron Davis is still going to be a part of the Knicks team. He has stayed close to the team and hopes to return after sitting out next season with an injury. He is expected to be part of the MSG broadcast team, the Garden Of Dreams foundation, and be an official team adviser for next year.

    Video Game News:

NBA 2k13 demo is now up on PSN and Xbox Live.

In other gaming news, history is repeating for EA Sports. NBA Live 13 has now been officially delayed. The last time EA delayed an NBA game, it ended up being cancelled.
