Power Rangers Samurai "Room For One More" Episode

Antonio is amazing. He treats the rangers for grilled fish after the battle, how thoughtful of him. But for some reason he didn't do the whole hand clap thing like it was in act 18. Oh well I guess it's for the better.

Overall I rated this episode amazing.

PresidentRanger: The Bulk and Spike scene wasn't even needed. Unless we get more interaction between Spike and the Rangers, which doesn't seem likely.

Spike and Mia are inevitably going to formally meet each other so building up the Spike crush now will mean something later. Also, Bulk and Skull constantly had scenes over the years that weren't really needed so I don't know why its a huge deal now when Bulk and Spike have scenes in certain episodes that may not necessarily be needed.

I don't understand how Ji thought Antonio wasn't formally trained. I mean come on, Antonio was Jayden's best friend. He would probably come over everyday and train with Jayden.

The "Enjoyable Samurai Episodes" streak stops at 1, which is still the number to beat.

--I really wish they'd stop saying their names in the intro. They're not ****ing Pokemon. It sounds stupidly childish, almost like they think we can't read. Which they probably do. More on this later.

--Wow, Erika's acting in the sparring scene is definitely a nominee for 'Worst portrayed scene in Power Rangers history'. My lord, that was just...wow.

--I have no problems with the Rangers being all "Yay, Antonio's on the team!", but they better have some damn good explanation next week for why Kevin is going to go 180° and start his "You're not deserving!" campaign. Because today I saw him smiling and nodding.

--Take a look at this fool Ji. He's barking at Antonio, taking his morpher from him one moment. Next time we see him? He's nodding and smiling about Jayden's decision to let him on the team. Good grief. Do these writers put ANY thought into the show?

--Antonio did not just look at the audience and say "Too fast? Here's a replay!"...oh no, he did. This is what irks me the most. They think the audience is brain dead. It's sickening. We know he's moving fast. We saw it last week, and still got a stupid explanation. Now they're doing it again? It just bothers me how badly they take the audience as stupid. It ties in with the intro as well. I'm not even in the target audience and it's beginning to offend me how stupid they think we are. It's an awesome move that's not even remotely awesome anymore because they continue to kill it.

--"We might need a sixth Ranger to beat this Nighlok". That's true Mia, except that later in the episode, FOUR of you stood on the side and watched TWO Rangers take him down with no problem.

--Oh, good for you Antonio. All giddy to finally see what a Megazord cockpit looks like...wait a minute, it looks the same as your OctoZord, what in the world are you getting so excited about?

Overall, poor episode. I don't really understand what so many people saw in it. It really felt like it was dragging its feet the entire time. The only thing I did like was when Antonio tried to fit in the line up of Rangers.

Also, my brother has only seen a few episodes and he brought something up that never dawned on me. Spike and Mia probably WILL end up together. Spike wants Mia. Mia wants her prince charming. It's almost a lock. But we'll moan about that when it actually happens.

Well, technically, Spike wants the Pink Ranger. He doesn't know Mia is the Pink Ranger. So unless he meets her when she isn't morphed...

And about Spike and Bulk's scenes. At least when MMPR was running, Bulk and Skull were interacting with the Rangers on a daily basis. So far, Spike was saved by Mia, Spike overheard Mike talking about his Samuraizer, they saw a Megazord fighting in the city but I'm sure that doesn't count, and Emily and Jayden nearly ran right into the two.

That's it. And we're how many episodes in? We didn't even see Spike and Bulk in the previous episode.

I've never heard before then. But then again it took me like 6 episodes to learn Dayu's name. And somewhere around that to learn Xandreds. These are the most unremarkable PR villains under the Saban name.

Since my sister has dominion over the TV on Saturday morning (and beyond) I didn't get to see it, but from what I've been reading, it all played out exactly as I fgured it would. According to Almighty Shinkenger Scripts. I was half hoping I was wrong. I will watch it as soon as I can get my hands on the episode just to see if anything will surprise me, but it's not looking likely.
