Eh. I liked Volt Tackle. Though I haven't seen Electro Ball in action yet so I can't really say anything.
Though I do wonder if he's going with Retro Pokemon during the Unova Conferences like he did previously. IIRC they said they can't really send pokemon over seas to Kanto or something like that.
Wait, if his extra 'mons aren't going back to Oak in Pallet Town, where are they going?

Pros: It doesn't appear to have any adverse effect on Pikachu like Volt Tackle did.
Cons: It doesn't appear to have that same pure power that Volt Tackle does and that Electro Ball "should be" based on how much faster Pikachu is than his opponent. Yes, it is generally understood that the anime doesn't always stick to the game rules, but as of now, I can't picture Electro Ball as a definite finisher.

Thanks. And Mr White, you're right. In the games, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh are all expies for parts of Japan. Unova though, is an expy for America. That likely holds true for the anime.

I been watching this season on a site i go to. I havent watched the past 3 or 4 seasons. I kind of like it except this bugs me. When ever Ash goes into a new region it seems like pikachu's power decreases big time. Pikachu should be around level 80 or something and he has so much trouble. Like Unovas first gym battle he lost.
