To make some hype in celebration of SirStack gearing up to do footage-breakdown of Zeo on Morphylogony, lets discuss the development history behind Zeo, which was once an acronym for "Zordon of Eltar's Odyssey." I'm not sure if much is known about it, I heard it was going to try to be a prequel series of sorts using Ohranger, of course. It would have involved a different cast, and the source of power would have been similar to Ohranger's in that they were ancient magical powers, but in Ohranger, they were a military force as well. Also, during the summer leading up to Power Rangers Zeo, they included sneak peek serials for the new series during summer reruns. These serials featured two new characters, a Scientist and a Woman, neither of which appeared on PRZ. At first, I thought this implied Zordon and Alpha were killed in the Command Center explosion and these would be the new mentors. Were these guys products of Zordon of Eltar's Odyssey?

Ohranger too had different plans at one point. After it debut, an act of terrorism (don't remember what it was) occurd, and Ohranger had to be significantly toned down (which I feel is what led to the Death of Bacchus Wrath). I once heard Ohranger was going to have the Machine Empire completely take over the Earth, but now wasn't the time for such grim imagery so it was reduced to a mediocre sentai.

The pitch for Z-O never went any further than the writers room tossing out ideas in summer 1995 knowing they had two years to kill until the second feature film. I doubt they seriously looked at Ohranger (remember, they never got more than concept art and vague premises from Toei) and said "what can we use this for?" The name was already being recycled into the Zeo Crystal because "Power Rangers Zeo" sounded good to everybody else long before they knew precisely what they'd be doing until they had to do T:APRM.

They actually did take over the earth in the last three episodes.

And let's be fair: Zeo was circling the drain of the toilet. Any idea Zeo was a fertile breeding ground for the writers while they killed time until the second film died very quickly. Does it suck Zeo was ambitious and starting to get really interesting just as it died? Of course. Zeo's plots had gotten engaging and then, because the season was a Divatox-caliber detonator, they cut it all short. Doug had a lot of reasons to quit the show, and what happened to his work on PRZ is part of that. The fact remains, Zeo was not successful. Neither was T:APRM, but they had to try SOMETHING ELSE. It's not a bad idea to change a losing horse. Zeo was limping to the glue factory.

    ^

Zeo in the Start of the Season are really good because the ideia of Bring New Suits,Villans,Zords it as really good for the show because we see since the Show starts the same suits for Three Years and they just shifts the Zords and the Sixth Ranger, the plots from Zeo could by much better because they have ends some plots like from Tommy of the Arrow Head and is Brother, Zeo could ends really well if they make the proper change to Machine Empire to Divatox in Multi-Parter episodes will be results much better because even if they make the Proper change well they could shift to Machine Empire to Divatox well and even includes next the plot from the T:APRM.

I found Zeo was a brilliant season, It had a good story, great fights, Who was the gold ranger storyline was a great touch for the season. ok some flaws with Rito and Golder being Bulk and skulls pets. not being disscovered by the rangers asspecially after Astro saw them. I find Zeos was great for its fights and battles also felt more serious, I liked zeo for that.
