Forgive me if I offend anyone but...
I was just wondering what everyone's thought on the idea or concept of a gay/lesbian character becoming a power ranger... Note: Character, not actors (you know... Billy's actor was..)

It wouldn't make a difference to me either way. My favorite setup for the show is for it to have 1, or 2 main relationships, but leave the other characters single. This allows people to put the other characters in any relationship they want. Besides that most people will just ship whoever they want. The most popular pairings tend be gay ones. Jason/Tommy, Sky/Bridge, Jayden/Antonio. PR also is more worried about pushing merch than being progressive. It's generally easier to get parents to buy the toys if they don't have qualms with the message.

I wouldn't mind, so long as it'll actually add or do something for the character outside of "Shock Value". Adding a LGBT character just for the sake of adding a LGBT character is something I hate, as its obviously for ratings or controversy. That said, I doubt'll happen.

It'd be awesome and I would totally support it but seeing as how they barely let the straight couples kiss in these series (Seriously, I think I can count on one hand the times that's happened), they probably won't have the mention of a gay person. Though if they had some good writers, they can do some heavy subtext and hints with a character.
Also for transgender characters, even less likely since most people can't wrap their heads around the whole idea of being born in the wrong body.
