As a big fan of Superman, I'm proud to say that this is the direction I've always wanted to see someone aim for. While the teaser didn't blow me away, I like how they're focusing on and making it clear that something different is coming. It comes off as another Nolan-inspired Production, but has hints that this is the same Superman fans have always loved...but with a slightly "realistic" approach.

I didn't know you were a big fan of Superman, but good to read. As much as this might upset people, I got the vibe that this will be very much like how Batman Begins: grittier, tone-down, and focused on diving far beyond the character. Is it good? Who knows. I saw the trailer on the big screen and got chills from how great this could be.

For you, were there specific things in the teaser you liked? Didn't like? (This question is also open to the forum).

^ For starters, and I mentioned this earlier, I like how they're making it clear that this is unlike any Superman approach we've seen. It's has a Dark Knight atmosphere, but staying TRUE to what this man of steel is all about - truth, justice, and the American way. I was at first hesitant about them taking such a drastic turn to what many consider the "goody goody, bright hero in spandex" to a slightly more sophisticated individual. I feel like this version of Superman won't be the simple hero, but thought-provoking.

We'll see how the new super man goes. I rather like the new super-man of the new 52. Old main super man sees the world in black and white. No longer the case for the rebooted world, he now sees the shades of grey.

Also I don't know if meny know but. Superman was originally a WW2 fighter. He wasn't an alien from Krypton, so they changed it up before.
