This Superman movie is definitely going to be darker, but let's be reasonable here. The one thing that should eliminate any and all worry with how this take on Supes is going to play out is with Nolan at the helm as producer. Outside of that, the goal should be to produce a film that respects the comic book but adds its own spin on things to produce as good of a product as possible. While some movies have been able to get away with staying closer to the comic and standard tradition, Superman currently doesn't fit in that category.

I was super excited when I found out Nolan was behind this. After that last travesty, I was ready to boycott any more Superman movies.

Superman Returns wasn't bad but I can understand why people didin't like it.

Nolan's films have a much meatier aspect to them. I like superhero stories that get you thinking, this is why much of DC's output in television and film have always done it for me over Marvel, who pander to the popcorn crowd far too often in their movies, comics, and television shows.

I definitely have to agree with you there. I tried to watch some of the new Marvel TV shows, and it's just ridiculous. I liked 90's Spiderman, but looking back at the DC shows of that era, yeah, there's no contest.

I love the MCU, but they're just movies. Dark Knight Trilogy? That's something that has a presence. As far as I'm concerned, I can see the MCU movies once, then never again. They're simple. But Nolan's work, that has a weight. I'm not even a Superman fan and I'm so damn excited for this one.

If DC really wants to get Justice League going, they should just have Nolan do every one of their movies and tie them together. It would take a while (probably focus on one movie over a trilogy of the same hero), but I think that would be worth it in the long run, and definitely surpass The Avengers with great ease.

When it comes to Anmiation DC is stronger then marvel. Heck the last good Marvel Animation was The Avengers and now that got cancelled and we are stuck with Ultimate Spiderman.

I would honestly like to see a worlds finest movie before a justice league movie. It would make more sence, instead of rushing into it, we have two of DC's biggest players teaming up. I think a movie like that while matching the avengers could at least make enough like the dark knight movies have.

^ This!! I would love to see a Batman/Superman movie before a Justice League movie. Especially considering how much World's Finest established in regards to their relationship. Going straight into a Justice League movie, there's no established background for the two who are basically responsible for starting the whole thing.

On a side note, Jim Parsons as the Flash is something I can't wait to see! I've been dying to see him in a super hero movie, though I think they should have put him in a Bat movie as the Riddler. Dude would have made a killer Riddler.
