Yeah...this is pretty much picking up where we left off in terms of badness.

Now granted, I was pleased to see as much unmorphed fighting as we did, as well as more non-sentai fights. With how it's adhering so close to the Shinkenger plot, this is a rare positive thing. However, I too thought it pretty absurd that they could still access their swords when they've been cut off from their morphing powers. It's not like they walk around with their swords for all to see, after all.

However, the bright spot of the unmorphed/original fights alone couldn't save the rest of it to me. The dialogue still feels too stilted, and the delivery of the lines still comes off as really dopey. Kevin is perhaps the worst about this, and seems to keep spouting off all these blatant "Captain Obvious" lines. I think I lost count of how many times I was saying "Duh!" at my TV whenever he spoke.

Bulk and Spike continue to be useless and irrelevant. While the "no memory card in the camera" thing hearkens back to the "forgetting to remove the lens cap" moments of old, it's just not the same. I've stopped wondering when they're actually going to interact with the Rangers, because at this point, it's clear it's not going to happen.

I already thought the "Mega Mode" looked hideous enough. Now they've gone and made it worse with "Super Mega Mode." I don't care if the whole thing was done to sell more toys (and I refuse to buy any figures that aren't in the normal suits); the whole thing serves no true purpose in the show itself or ongoing story, and just plain looks bad. Though expect to see more of my complaints once Shogun Mode actually debuts in the show, because what I've seen of that through pictures and toys is just plain horrifying.

It was an overall awesome start to the season. This is how "The Team Unites" / "Origins Part 1" should've started rather than what we got. The acting has greatly improved. The music composition and cinematography used throughout the episode reminds me of the concepts used in RPM.

I personally love the designs used in the Mega Modes, Super Mega Modes, and the Shark Attack Mega Mode. They are modes made for selling toys, but they look fantastic.

My primary rant is the usage of Shinkenger footage for the Super transformation. They could've made a beautiful transformation sequence for consistency (Rangers Morph and Mega Mode Transformations).

I wasn't a fan of the video editing used in the original Opening Theme. The Super Samurai version is a step in the right direction with the choices in footage as well as the focus on the cast members.

There is no "improvement in the acting", it's the same as it's always been.

That your opinion, If Fury thinks the acting improved ''more power to him'' you can't just say the acting not improved without any details.

He's giving his opinion too. I don't care if people in this fandom know the actors - apparently a lot of them do - but that doesn't miraculously make the acting on this show good. It looks to me like this fandom has decided to give the cast a pass on the terrible season by deluding themselves into believing that somehow titling the back half of the same season something else means they can slide in praise and get rid of any negative thoughts they had whatsoever. OH NO, CAN'T HAVE PEOPLE SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT THE SHOW. The last word on this season's acting is Clash of the Red Rangers, and... um... Well, Jayden improved a lot. There's still nothing really differentiating Mike or Kevin. The girls are black holes of personality.

Really enjoyed today's episode. Such a nice improvement from the first half. I hope Super Samurai can keep it up.

The acting has improved...but not everyone. We can see the same low quality from a few of the cast members, including Najee. One of my rants of last season's acting was the writing which appears to have been improved in this episode. Out of all of the actors, I've enjoyed Alex and Hector's acting the most.

I disagree with Crayfish on one thing. I think that Hector is the only actor whose character I can buy into, by which I mean to me it seems that he is the only one portraying a character, while the rest of the rangers are checking the teleprompter for there next line.
