Power Rangers: Super Samurai Discussion (No Spoilers)

It lured in kids. It didn't lure back any old fans. The fandom detests Samurai.

Which is why I'm saying, cancel the show now. Nick should be considering this.

Unless the kids suddenly abandon the show, it won't be cancelled.

The majority of the (older) fandom (including myself) may not like parts or all of Samurai, but combined with the other boards (Rangerboard, HJU, etc) we are a "vocal minority".

I do recall Samurai's ratings are better than Disney's last few seasons, despite the lack of advertising for RPM.

I do believe that PR is the #1 kids show right now, while Samurai makes me slap my forehead and shake my head. One of the things about PRS is that they basiclly give away the plot in the opening sequence. I shudder to think about how they'll do so this saturday

So we already know the episode titles for the first 13 episodes of Super Samurai. However, KyL somehow got ahold of the last 7 episode titles AND their episode descriptions. So needless to say, here are the episode titles and descriptions for the last 7 episodes. Read at your own risk.

01 - Super Samurai (Airs 2/18/12)
02 - Shell Game (Airs 2/25/12)
03 - Trading Place (Airs 3/3/12)
04 - Something Fishy (Airs 3/10/12)
05 - The Rescue
06 - The Bullzord
07 - He Ain't Heavy Metal, He's My Brother
08 - Kevin's Choice
09 - Runaway Spike
10 - The Strange Case Of The Munchies
11 - A Sticky Situation
12 - Trust Me
13 - The Master Returns

That's what we know so far. Here are the last 7. No airdates announced yet.

14 - A Crack In The World
The Rangers discover that Serrator's recent attacks have an ulterior motive - to crack open the earth and let the Sanzu flood it and thereby become ruler of both worlds.

15 - Stroke Of Fate
When Serrator asks Deker to fulfill the final piece of his destructive plans, Antonio begs Deker to reconsider his role in the battle between humans and the Nighlok.

16 - Fight Fire With Fire
The Nighlok Fiera unleashes an overwhelming attack on the Red Ranger, but when he goes down another Red Ranger takes his place. Which one is the real Red Ranger? The answer will change the Samurai Rangers forever.

17 - The Great Duel
As the Rangers attempt to adjust to being led by a new Red Ranger, Jayden struggles to find new meaning in his life.

18 - Evil Reborn
Jayden finishes his grand battle against Deker and the other Rangers try to convince him to rejoin their team before Master Xandred reawakens.

19 - The Sealing Symbol
With Master Xandred back on Earth, the Rangers finally attempt to use the Sealing Symbol to stop him - only to discover that he has a special new defense against it. Now, they must rise to the challenge and find a new way to defeat him and save the world.

20 - Samurai Forever
In a climactic battle, the Rangers face off against Master Xandred for the last time.

Interesting post. You do have to wonder why in God's name Nick puts out the episode descriptions for the LAST 7 episodes before the first 9 we're still missing. Strange.

Either way, I'm not sure how close to the Shinkenger this is. Someone who saw it will have to comment on that. But I must say, the episode descriptions sound OK. They sound epic. Now let's hope the show is as epic as the descriptions make it out to be. A couple notes though. First off, it appears our female Red Ranger won't be around for more than 4 episodes or so. That's a pretty late entrance. All of Kimberly Crossman's massive amounts of picture taking made it seem she was around for more than a few weeks. And secondly, I guess we can finally lay to rest Deker being Cole. Damn, I was really hoping.

EDIT: And just a reminder, but we're probably not getting these episodes for a long time to come. Probably not until sometime in the fall or something. So as much excitement as this might stir up, do keep in mind these episodes are still a long way off.

I like the title "Samurai Forever". I wish the first/20th episode was called "Rangers Together" would've been a nice bookend.

A lot of Crossman's pics were also social ones (at parties, etc) too. Didn't expect her to be on for more than 3 weeks at most.

Deker being Cole was ruled out long ago, since late season 1 (Broken Dreams).

By the sounds of it, it seems Deker and Dayu won't be getting a different ending, as my tip is Xandred's (special defense) is probably Dayu after (the obligatory original footage) of her witnessing Deker going down to Jayden, and Dayu doesn't find any reason to live any longer.

The episode titles sounds interesthing souns they go to keep the "Akumaru/Serrator" plan of the release Hell in Earth but use in diferent concept.

This is interesthing they release the episode titles and the Super Samurai dont even goes in the Middle.
