That would just make me sad

I sort of love the idea of a Ranger who hates the job and would do anything to pawn it off to someone else, but destiny refuses. Throws away his trinket and morpher, they come right back to him under contrived circumstance, etc. Actively evading the call to heroism and it keeps calling back.

Well, we had 2 reds already who wanted to give up their positions (Conner, and Jack). A storyline with this concept would be something I would like to see, especially since we already have a number of morphers that locked in their user (TF, DT, RPM). One aspect that I would be interested in though is the person having the potential to be a great ranger, but intentionally holding back. The person would do the bare minimum they need to in order to survive the battles.

How about someone with the personality of Tony Stark/Iron Man? Think about it. Rich billionaire, philanthropist, self-centred, sarcastic, humourous, egotistical, womanizer, mega genius who maybe creates his own Power Rangers just for fun? That might work for the Red Pirate ranger when they adapt Gokaiger.

^A lot of that applies to Andrew Hartford, heck he was petty populat with the ladies as well
-
Too bad he was more into his teenage son/sexbot

Let's not get into that again.

A redheaded freckle-faced Green Ranger.
A Black male as Purple Ranger.

How are those character types? Why do the looks matter in the least?
