With Lionsgate does anybody else feel they are being short changed all over again? I ask this because
regardless of the company in this respect nothing else has changed. Lionsgate is as rip offish as Disney
was.

Um, not really. Besides, I thought Lionsgate was said to be releasing more volumes to compliment Samurai and Super Samurai, and that they'd even be doing a complete season set later on.

I admit I've always been slightly confused by Lionsgate's ways of releasing DVDs, but I'm looking at it from a pure fans point of view and not economically. It may be in their best interest to release them by volumes and it probably is. If Shout! didn't know about us hardcores, we'd likely be getting the same treatment for MMPR-RPM. What puzzles me is releasing volumes of Super Samurai before Samurai is even done, but maybe they want to get the new product on the shelves.

So are you trying to ask if 4-5 episode dvd's for a show that just premiered last year whose demographic are little kids a release that is screwing over the, as Saban calls us "Power Fans"? If so no, because be honest. If a Power Rangers Samurai season 1 set really came out, I really doubt that much of the fandom would have bought it. Not to mention, if the fans really wanted the series, they would have given into buying the singles.

Not necessarily. Samurai may be pretty bad, but diehard folks like myself would still buy a full box set release if only for completion sake. Luckily, we know Lionsgate is listening and may in the long run put out some boxsets.

But for the first release you would have to agree they'd make a lot more money just by singles as die hard fans like yourself shouldn't mind caving in and soccer moms would be happy.

Actually, I'm not planning on buying any volumes now that I know that boxsets might be coming. It's a double-edged sword but in the end you have to make a decision.

I hope so because when the year sets on Samurai and Super Samurai come out I will be buying both in full so I can add them to my Power Rangers Library when I buy the Shout Factory packs starting next month. As for what somebody said about no USA release for RPM Shout Factory will release it.

I have no authority to make an assertion like this, but I would WAGER the majority of the MMPR-PRLG set will be individually released before the next 300+ episode set is on the market. Possibly more than a year?

Thanks for the update, Chris. If anything, I would expect the next Box Set at a milestone event, such as Comic Con or next August. I know that it's not confirmed, but I kinda agree that the individual volumes for the first Box Set should release before the next major box set.
