I was online today and came across a video from Kevin Tancharoen about Mortal Kombat: Legacy Season 2. The scripts are finished and they will be shooting soon. I don't know if they will be having the same actors but I would assume that they would. The MK characters that will be in season 2 are Kano, Liu Kang, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Jax, Baraka, Stryker, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Ermac and Kenshi. It is supposed to follow the tournament this time with I believe less set-up story and more action.

On the movie front the feature film is still in development but is supposed to come out in theaters some time in 2013. Acording to IMDB Michael Jai White will be Jax with Scott Adkins as Smoke. Also rumored is Katheryn Winnick as Sonya and Shane Warren Jones as Cyrax. The release of the movie is supposed to coincide with the release of the next installment of the video game series.

I for one have been waiting for the third Mortal Kombat movie to come out since it was first talked about thirteen years ago. I'm excited to see season two of Legacy and can't wait for the movie. Is anyone else interested in seeing either one of these?

The series is online only. The first season had 9 episodes about 9-12 minutes each. It premiered in April 2011 and ended on July 24th. It's still posted on the Machinima channel on youtube and will most likely be placed there again during season 2.

Back in November of last year it was released in Blu-Ray format with special features. For now I believe it's only available in Blu-Ray with no mention of a DVD release date.

I am huge MK fan. I've watched anything about it. Season 1 was nice, of cource not that good as the old tv show but ok. I liked how different they approached some character stories. I was very happy to see the actor who was Kamen Rider Knight in Dragon Knight as Johny Cage. It would be cool if he was playting on season 2 as well and in a possible movie. Based to the alternative timeline of MK 9 it would be awesome

Thrax you know that Kung Lao in Konquest was the ancector of MK II right? I recently completed MK shaolin monks which was based to MK II's story, great. For anyone that was confused with the Scorpion/Sub-Zero story we saw on Legacy just think that there are many ninjas with those abilities. It's not just one scorpion or just one Sub-Zero.

A friend and I were talking about this at work so I figured it was time for an update.

The second season has begun production in Los Angeles with the first footage to be debuted worldwide on February 17, 2013. The series will again be broadcast exclusively on Machinima's YouTube channel. Some of the characters featured in the second season are Kuai Liang, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Scorpion, Kano, Shang Tsung, Johnny Cage, Kurtis Stryker, Mileena, Ermac, Sonya Blade and Jax Briggs. Also the movie is supposed to have a release date of 2013, coordinated with the next installment of the video game series being produced by the same studios.

Some of the characters who will be carried over from the first season will be played by the same actors which include Ian Anthony Dale as Scorpion and Darren Shahlavi as Kano. There will also be a few actors who will not reprise their role and they include Tahmoh Penikett (Kurtis Stryker), Jolene Tran (Mileena), Jeri Ryan (Sonya Blade), Michael Jai White (Jax Briggs), and Matt Mullins (Johnny Cage). The replacements for Kurtis Stryker and Mileena will be Eric Jacobus and Michelle Lee. There is no news at the moment as to who will be replacing Jeri Ryan and Michael Jai White but it has been confirmed that Matt Mullins will be replaced by Casper Van Dien. The good news is that Michael Jai White and Matt Mullins will be returning as their characters for the movie.

The actors being added to the series is Harry Shum, Jr. as Kuai Liang, Brian Tee as Liu Kang, Will Yun Lee as Ermac, Mark Dacascos as Kung Lao, and Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa as Shang Tsung who, on an interesting note, played him in the first feature film. Also Dan Southworth has confirmed via twitter that he has a role for the second season, but his role is unknown.

Yes, I know Kung Lao is ancestor of the Liu Kang, but I think the Story of Scorpion and Sub-Zero is much better in Komquest even the Rivalty between Both is pretty cool, That cult with created the Sub-Zero and Scorpion is a Creture of another Realm of Kahn comquers.
