Chrollo, i almost never try to correct people, but this one is a pet peeve of mine, an ancestor is someone who came BEFORE in the bloodline, the word you are looking for is Descendant, anyway I don't think a direct sequel would be post-apocalyptic, it would be about rebuilding society. and again, as much as I love all of RPM it simply wouldn't be the same without Doctor K.
I know you and other people would love for a direct rpm sequel but none of the go busters personalities really match up with the rpm characters. All the go busters are competent fighters. Yellow buster doesn't really fight at all like rpm yellow imo. Also there civilian powers don't match up. Blue buster constantly uses his super strength, while rpm blue stops time. Also your going to have to lose 2 rangers no matter what, and since there isn't a black or green ranger but a gold and silver go buster, that probably means no Dillon or Ziggy. Without those two there isn't any point in watching a direct rpm sequel.
i'm not saying the rangers should be the same, they could be supporting cast, like the MMPR characters in PRiS, i just think moving it years into the future would be weird
RPM cast is too cool to just be supporting characters, and I don't think they could ever afford the budget to cast all 7, 8 if you include DR K. Also I don't think I could enjoy a new set of rangers when I know there is a group better rangers that are battle tested veterans, just sitting around on their butts not lifting a finger to help.
