[The two charge into a seemingly endless swordfight while trading slices and punches.]

[Logan searches for Dimitri with no luck.]

[The battle continues on a suspended rope-like bridge high above the edge of the park near the forest.]
SANZU:
You're even weaker without your ranger powers!
DIMITRI FEDOROV:
And you are weaker without your human side!
SANZU:
You and your ranger friends took that from me! And for that, you shall pay!
[Meanwhile, down below, Paolo is searching for Dimitri, and locates the bandage that was around Dimitri's head.]
PAOLO NOIMI:

[Paolo then looks up to see his grandson and Sanzu fighting in front of him.]

[An Aykasi named OROSHI attacks innocent citizens with his tentacles...even choking some around the neck. Logan arrives on scene.]

[The Gold Ranger charges in with his Solar Dagger drawn.]

[The five rangers deflect the tentacles with their Kendo Razors. The team then goes down, but quickly recover. The Red Ranger calls upon the Shogun Morpher.]

[The Ultrazord stands ready to battle. Suddenly, the Oroshi-Dragon comes around to charge and blast at the Ultrazord, but the robot is unscathed.]

[Crustacea then changes her mood.* She looks upward,* smirking,* dropping the destroyed guitar.* A dark energy tornado is released from the instrument,* and knocks the Pink Ranger down.*]

[Everyone sees the dark energy tornado whirl around.*]

[Soon,* a impromptu water spout erupts from the ocean,* and falls onto the rocky ledge near the ground battle.* As* the waterfall vanishes,* a figure can be seen.* Once the waterfall totally disappears,* everyone notices that Iod has returned.*]

PINK KENDO RANGER:
*(in shock,* disbelief,* and despair*)

[Dimitri approaches the Pink Ranger to console her.*]

[A severely weakened Crustacea stumbles toward Iod, and bows at his feet.]
CRUSTACEA:

You have done well, Crustacea...but...it is time for you to rest...forever!
[The rangers watch in horror as Crustacea's Koda drops from her hand. Iod then absorbs Crustacea's body and spirit, and lets out a primal scream.]
The time has come for the final battle, Power Rangers!
[Iod then grows to his giant form. The Red and Gold Rangers command the Kendo Superzord.]
GOLD KENDO RANGER:
Lobster Swords!
RED SHOGUN RANGER AND GOLD KENDO RANGER:

[The attack has no effect as Iod makes the robot spark and smoke.]

[The Kendo Ultrazord continues to battle Iod.]

[The Kendo Ultrazord uses it's sword to interrupt the attack, and strikes the robot, making it spark and smoke as it loses power, ejecting the rangers. The robot breaks into it's components, and vanishes.]
IOD:
(as he shrinks back down)

He's too powerful!

I need to start drawing the Sealing Spell symbol. I need you five to buy me some time...Eddie...take the Dino Blade...and Cody...you take the Shogun Morpher.
[The Blue and Green Rangers take their borrowed weapons. Iod then delivers a blast of fire from his palm to attack the rangers.]
BLUE KENDO RANGER:

[The rangers charge through the flames, led by the Blue Shogun Ranger and the Green Shinobi Ranger to attack Iod, who rapidly whirls around them...the five rangers all go down ain a hail of sparks.]

(as he tries to leave)
Weaklings! You cannot defeat me!
[The three male rangers try to stop the Stygian leader by holding him down. The Pink and Yellow Rangers follow suit, but it is no use. Iod flings the five off of him.]
RED KENDO RANGER:
(holding her Kendo Cell, giving herself a pep talk)
I must do this right!
[The Red Ranger starts to draw the first part of the symbol as Iod continues to pummel the other rangers, knocks the Gold Ranger down.]
IOD:
Ah, the mighty Gold Ranger!
[Iod puts his foot onto the chest of the Gold Ranger to hold him down. He uses his sword to try to destroy him, but Lumina flies around the Stygian leader to distract him, but is cut down in the process.]
GOLD KENDO RANGER:
Lumina!
[The Red Ranger continues to draw out the Sealing Spell symbol as the rangers (with the Gold Ranger using Lumina in Weapon Mode) use their Kendo Razors to charge at Iod. Meanwhile, Dimitri uses his personal Kendo Razor to take care of some Kanizars.]

[The attack has no effect. In retaliation, Iod sends a blast of red energy bolts to envelop the rangers in a huge fireball, but they use their weapons to deflect the blast back to Iod.]

[As the Red Ranger continues to draw the symbol, Iod blasts everyone with his "power breath." The Red Ranger is even hit, breaking the incomplete symbol. The Red Ranger is knocked off the cliff, and falls to the ground, knocking her out of morph...she is hurt badly.]

Come on! We gotta regroup!
[The Kendo Ranger team vanishes from the area.]
IOD:
Run! Run, you cowards!
[Iod retrieves Crustacea's robe as her Koda cries out for help. On his way back to the ship, Iod steps on the Koda to destroy it.]

[Iod vanishes through a hole, leading to Purgatory.]

[Talia seems to be resting comfortably, all bandaged up as Paolo and Nala watch over her. Her rest is then disturbed as she plays back what just happened in her mind.]

[As Paolo leaves the hut, Talia lays her head back, and weeps.]

[The team all have been bandaged up, and sit around, recovering and talking. Paolo enters the room to get Dimitri for Talia.]

(noticing Paolo)

Your mother would like to talk to you in Nala's hut.
[The two depart the base.]

[Dimitri and Paolo enter. Paolo then leaves with Nala.]

Yes...you know...that last battle made me think. I saw you with the other rangers, battle Iod as I tried to draw the Sealing Spell symbol...and...I think that it is time for you to take this back.
[Talia presents Dimitri with the Red Ranger's Kendo Cell.]

Are you sure, mother?
TALIA NOIMI:
Yes! It is time! It's time for you to be the Red Ranger again.
[Talia forcefully grabs Dimitri's hand, and places the Kendo Cell into it.]

[Octo is a bit nervous as Iod returns. He then casts Crustacea's robe into the river.]

Where is Crustacea?

That weakling was absorbed...by me! It is time for the final battle with the rangers.

IOD:
Yes...it is time to prepare for the final onslaught. But, I need some time to prepare...send the final Aykasi to the city.

[Gumagu comes aboard the ship to receive his assignment, then departs.]

[On what appears to be a normal time in the city, every vent, crack, sewer grate, etc. glows an eerie red color, making the citizens very nervous. Soon, water from the River Styx flows through the openings to flood parts of the city.]

[Paolo approaches Dimitri to show off two new Kendo Discs...the Tornado Disc, and the Fire Disc. Suddenly, the alarms ring out...wildly!]

(looking at the computer map screen)
Red dots are rapidly covering the map...there's trouble everywhere!
EDDIE CALLAHAN:
(looking at the computer map screen)
This is the big one!
[Everyone looks at the screen.]

[The red-colored water from the River Styx floods portions of the city. Soon, the Stygian Ship flows out of a space between two skyscrapers, and sails over the streets of Downtown Rio Mesa. Meanwhile, on dry ground, thousands of Kanizars appear, and start attacking the fleeing citizens.]

[The team prepares themselves for a long fight ahead as more red dots pop up on the computer map. The team then departs.]
EXT.-CITY-BEACH-DAY
[The six team members are on their Kendostangs (with Logan holding Lumina), galloping toward the beach. Once arrived, the team dis-mount from their steeds, and see the hordes of Kanizars along with Gumagu.]

[Lumina transforms from his lantern mode, and transforms into his humanoid form.]

[The other rangers load their personal Kendo Discs onto the cannon, with the Squid Disc on the side. Suddenly, Gumagu revives and starts to grow.]
ALL RANGERS:
Tentacle Thrasher!
[The blast from the weapon sends the spirit form of the Squid Kendozord to destroy Gumagu in mid-revival. The seven team members celebrate.]
RED KENDO RANGER:
Let's go get Iod!
[The team departs for the Stygian Ship.]
EXT.-CITY-DOWNTOWN-SUNKEN BUILDING-ROOF-DAY
[The six rangers approach the ship, which has docked against a sunken building (with only it's rooftop showing), where they are met by Octo.]
OCTO:
You rangers will never defeat Lord Iod! Kanizars!
[Octo unleashes a platoon of Kanizars before vanishing. The rangers then draw their Kendo Razors and Solar Dagger, and charge in to battle the minions.]
RED KENDO RANGER:
Let's get them!
ALL RANGERS:
Yeah!
[A couple minutes later, the rangers defeat all of the minions, and board the ship.]

[The rangers board the ship. Once on the top deck, the rangers think that the ship is empty, although they know that Iod and Octo are somewhere on board...the ship creaks and rocks.]
PINK KENDO RANGER:
This is creepy!
YELLOW KENDO RANGER:
You said it!
[Suddenly, an army of Kanizars, Kusanizars, and Sakamas appear. The rangers go to work with their bladed weapons and personal Kendo Discs.]

[Iod blasts the six, causing infrastructure damage to the area. The Stygian leader then has several Kanizars attack the six. The rangers upgrade their Kendo Razors into their secondary weapons (with the Gold Ranger using Lumina's weapons mode).]

[Iod uses his sword to battle the heroes. He powers it up, and swings it like a baseball bat to slice through the rangers. The swing from Iod's flaming sword makes the rangers collapse to the ground...they lay motionless and lifeless a bit before recovering.]

[Iod celebrates a bit before departing the area.]

[The six team members recover more at the base.]
PAOLO NOIMI:
All is not lost, rangers. Iod must be defeated at all costs.
LOGAN KINGSTON:
But, how can we defeat Iod, when he is so powerful!?
DIMITRI FEDOROV:
We got to keep trying!
MEGAN NOIMI:
Ever since he...absorbed Crustacea, he is too powerful for the Sealing Spell symbol.
CODY EGAWA:
It's like it won't work on him!
DIMITRI FEDOROV:
Then it's settled...we got to destroy him!
[Suddenly, a villager runs into the base.]
VILLAGER:
Paolo! There are three Kanizars at the main entrance!
ALL:
Come on!
PAOLO NOIMI:
We cannot let them enter the village!
[The six team members and Paolo all go out to the entrance. Before Paolo exits the base, he looks over to his old Samurai armor.]
EXT.-ANGEL GROVE NATIONAL FOREST-ORIKAMI VILLAGE-ENTRANCE-DAY
[The seven arrive to find three Kanizars trying to find their way through the protective barrier. Once at the gates, the team notices an explosion in the quarry.]
PAOLO NOIMI:
(noticing the concern on the team's faces)
Go! I'll handle these guys!
[The six rangers call on their Kendostangs, mount them, and head for the quarry.]
EXT.-ANGEL GROVE NATIONAL FOREST-QUARRY-DAY
[The six team members on horseback arrive to a seeming empty quarry.]
EDDIE CALLAHAN:
Seem familiar!?
DIMITRI FEDOROV:
Yeah...keep your eyes peeled, guys!
[Soon, Iod shows himself...as does a ghostly vision...Aiden Chase, wearing a traditional Samurai armaments, and wielding two katanas.]
AIDEN CHASE:
I am here to distract this freak!
DIMITRI FEDOROV:
Be careful, Aiden!
AIDEN CHASE:
What can he do to me? I'm dead, remember!?
[Aiden works on distracting Iod, but it doesn't work as Iod "yell-blasts" the six team members to "floor" them. As the team struggles to recover to their feet, five other rangers appear on a ridge for a couple minutes.]
DIMITRI FEDOROV:
Who are they!?
MEGAN NOIMI:
I don't know!
[The sight of the strange ranger team distracts Iod again, so the team can morph.]

[The rangers upgrade into their Orikami Spirit Modes, and attack with their enhanced Nature Sword attacks to put dents into the minion population. The six draw their bladed weapons (which are now a bit longer, and sleeker), and charge in.]
RED ORIKAMI RANGER:

[The combined attack weakens Iod severely.]
Dino Blade! Shinobi Power!
[The Red Ranger upgrades into his Shinobi Ranger form. He then installs the Fire Disc onto the hilt of the Dino Blade, and spins the disc.]
RED SHINOBI RANGER:
Bushido Mode, Power Up!
[The armaments of the Red Ranger's Bushido mode form over his suit.]
RED BUSHIDO RANGER:
Spirit Of The Blazing Inferno! Red Bushido Ranger!
IOD:
You don't have what it takes to defeat me, rangers!
RED BUSHIDO RANGER:
We'll see about that...the Orikami HexaSlash severely weakened you. And now...Bushido Fire Slash!
[The Red Ranger performs his finisher to finally destroy Iod. The rangers then celebrate their apparent victory...until Iod revives and grows.]
ALL RANGERS:
We Summon All Of The Spirits Of The Orikami!
[The twelve Kendozords arrive in the quarry, and the rangers board them.]
Kendozords...Spirit Fusion!
[The rangers form the four megazord formations...Kendo...Aero...Warrior (Defender)...and the Taurus. All four battle Iod valiantly.]
PINK ORIKAMI RANGER AND YELLOW ORIKAMI RANGER:
(in the Kendo Megazord's Ancient Mode)
Kendo Mega Saber! Divine Sword Slash!
BLUE ORIKAMI RANGER AND GREEN ORIKAMI RANGER:

[The four megazords combine their attacks, but the four finishers only weaken Iod.]
BLUE ORIKAMI RANGER:

Let's form the Ultrazord's Ancient Mode!
ALL RANGERS:
Kendozords, Spirit Fusion!
[All four megazords break apart so the components can combine into the Kendo Ultrazord's Ancient Mode.]
Kendo Ultrazord, Ancient Mode...More Power!
[The Kendo Ultrazord performs the usual attack moves.]
Kendo Heritage Slice! Kendo Heritage Blast!
[The two usual finishers weaken Iod a bit more.]
RED BUSHIDO RANGER:
Bushido Power!
[The Red Ranger taps into his Bushido powers, and connects them to the Kendo Ultrazord, which then readies itself. Iod then swings his sword to strike the tall robot, which flails and sparks as it loses some power.]
Kendo Heritage Sword, power up!
ALL RANGERS:
Bushido Inferno Slash!
[The Kendo Ultrazord slices into Iod. The Stygian leader cackles in a rainbow of lightning bolts. He then collapses to his knees.]
IOD:
You won, rangers!
[Iod then explodes into a massive fireball. Due to the explosion's shockwave, parts of the quarry implode where Iod was destroyed. The waters of the River Styx recede, sucking the damaged Stygian Ship and Octo back into Purgatory. The rangers wait for a minute quietly before finally declaring victory.]
RED BUSHIDO RANGER:
Iod's gone!
ALL RANGERS:
(celebrating)
Yeah!
INT.-ANGEL GROVE NATIONAL FOREST-ORIKAMI VILLAGE-BASE-DAY
[As the sun is about to set, the team returns victoriously from their long battle, and plop down on the couches and chairs.]
PAOLO NOIMI:
I congratulate you on a job well done. Iod is gone forever.
DIMITRI FEDOROV:
Yes...but Octo is still out there...on the run.
PAOLO NOIMI:
When he strikes, you will be recalled into action. But, for now...I must ask for your Kendo Cells and Solar Morpher.
[The six team members look at the morphers in their hands before turning them over to Nala, who places the devices into the molded-foam, briefcase, and closes it.]
I am proud of you all...but...the battle is over, for now...and I am releasing you so you all can go back to your normal everyday lives.
[The six team members accept their new assignment...normalcy. The six help clean up the base a bit.]
EXT.-ANGEL GROVE NATIONAL FOREST-ORIKAMI VILLAGE-BASE-NIGHT
[That night, the team prepares to say good-bye to one of their own. The six team members, Paolo, Talia, and Nala solemnly gather outside the base.]
MEGAN NOIMI:
My friends...the time has come...for me to go home. I'm afraid that I must go by my real name of Zia Jericho, and return to the year 2030. This is not easy for me...I have been close to you all for a year now...some of you, longer. But, this is for the best interest of the current timeline.
EDDIE CALLAHAN:
(tearing up)
Zia...I'm gonna miss you!
[The two kiss and hug as they talk.]
ZIA JERICHO:
I will always remember and cherish our relationship together, Edouard!
[Zia closes her eyes.]
I Summon The Power From Within!
[The Night Ranger armor materializes over Zia's body.]
NIGHT RANGER:
Night Saber!
[The Night Ranger extends her right arm upward as a gold-hilted long silver sword materializes in her hand.]
With The Power Of The Night! Night Ranger, Power Up!
[The Night Ranger uses her sword to open a time vortex that leads to the year 2030. Before entering the vortex, she approaches the others to give them a "good-bye hug."]
I will miss you all.
[On the way back to the vortex, Eddie and her exchange a warm embrace, and say good-bye. The Night Ranger enters the vortex, which closes behind her. Eddie then collapses to his knees in anguish as he looks up at the starry sky.]
DIMITRI FEDOROV:
(as he and the others approach to console Eddie)
Eddie...she did what she had to do. We will all miss her.
EDDIE CALLAHAN:
I know...
[Everyone looks up at the starry sky, as one star briefly out-shines the others.]
INT.-ANGEL GROVE NATIONAL FOREST-ORIKAMI VILLAGE-BASE-DAY
[The next morning, the remaining team members reflect on the past year. Cody, Eddie, Sierra, and Logan say good-bye to the others, then all depart the village to resume their normal lives.]
EXT.-ANGEL GROVE NATIONAL FOREST-ORIKAMI VILLAGE-BASE-DAY
[Talia, Dimitri, Paolo, and Nala look on as the others depart the village.]
EXT.-CITY-DAY (ONE MONTH LATER...)
[Dimitri tells what everyone is up to...]
DIMITRI FEDOROV:
It has been a month since we destroyed Iod, and there has been no sign of Octo. Meanwhile, the other rangers are excelling in their normal lives...Cody is back to acting in theater, and is on Broadway in New York...Eddie is now a member of the football team at the University of Southern California...while Sierra and Logan are continuing with their education at Rio Mesa High. Logan is a star Midfielder on the Boys Varsity Soccer team...Zia is off protecting the universe as the Night Ranger in the year 2030...for me though...I am now a Senior at Rio Mesa High, and a new adventure is just beginning.
[Dimitri is walking through the city as a sewer grate starts to glow red.]
